My father's death changed everything for me. His three best friends became my protectors. And my lovers.
My dad and I were never close. When he died and left me the company he built from the ground up, he also left his three best friends to take care of me.
They were supposed to help me make good decisions. So much for that.
It doesn't matter that they're older than me. Or that there's three of them. Or that I've known them my whole time.
I want them. And I have to have them all to myself.
This is a reverse harem romance with three men who will do anything (and I mean anything!) for their woman. It's free from cliffhangers, cheating, and has a guaranteed HEA.
I found this book through an Amazon search for a Contemporary RH Standalone.
It was a hard DNF at 46%. I couldn’t read any further and had to force myself to read that far. It’s a completely unbelievable and unrealistic contemporary romance. Let’s add creepy in there also.
So this girls father just died, his 3 best friends see her at the funeral of her father. Now whether your close to your parent or not, it’s still sad and traumatizing for them to die.
So what do these 3 old guys do on the freakin day of the funeral?!? Come on to her, she even sleeps with one of them that evening.
It starts off with her not remembering them since she hadn’t seen them since she was a kid but they all remember her. And they keep telling her she’s all grown up and all they want is to be with her, take care of her and love her while giving her the world... *insert giant eye roll*
Don’t get me wrong, I like older guy romances, even when it involves the dads friends. But this one is just creepy. It’s instalove/instalust. And the fact that they *48/49* year old men come on to her the day of her fathers funeral, ignoring the fact they should all be sad. But they keep going on about her as a kid and how adorable she was and how she all grown up and sexy. Usually in these type of books it’s the girl coming onto the older man/men. For them to creep on someone they new as a baby/child on the day of a should be traumatizing event is just creepy.
She may not need a babysitter but they will ensure she is well looked after anyway
Hers is the story of Jessa and Liam, Johnny and Trent in this RH story. Jessa is a young woman who has just inherited her estranged father's company and the three men are his best friends. The three of them all knew Jessa when she was younger so when they see her again at her father's funeral they all notice just how much she has grown up. In a letter from her father she found that he had instructed Liam, Johnny and Trent to help her with the company and look after her. She may not need a babysitter but that does not mean that these three man are not about to look after her like she is a princess.
This story is steamy and fun to read. I can't say that the relationship is deep between Jessa and the three men but it sure does light the Kindle on fire with a whole lot of lust and sizzling passion. Plus I really like Mae Doyle's writing and story-telling styles so I did enjoy this book.
I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. They were friends and worked with her father. These three men have watched her grow up and knew that she was special. She was estranged from her father but returned at the end of his life. She believed that work was always more important than she could ever be. The men have kept track of her after she became an adult. They are attracted to her but she is not sure at first who they are. Their story takes them from grief to having a relationship together. The men would do anything for her. They are older and protect and support her in any way they can. There is drama, betrayal, lust and love. This was not a bad story, but not my favorite by Mae

This was a steamy ', not novel! Jessa is a sweetheart and obviously doesn't know what is going on with her dad's best friends. There is a sizzling hot chemistry between Jessa, Liam, Johnny and Trent. There is a lite twist which gives some excitement to the story and made it entertaining.

Jessa has three strong protectors who will provide her with everything she needs including themself’s. The characters are engaging and well developed with plenty of chemistry throughout the pages and the storyline has a great flow.

Got some creep factor and cringe factor! No real character development, insta-love was yuck and hated that the guys always said "how grown up she is now".
