Bodie and Maya’s story!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 🖤💙❤️💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍
Character development: 😚☹️🥹😉
Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Maya Harper - she was a scientist and a runner, though she has an atrial septal defect in her heart (a hole in her heart), which is killing her, but may have also saved her on the day when huge men with supernatural abilities broke into the lab at the pharmaceutical company where she worked and killed all her co-workers. She has been on the run ever since, moving from place to place. She recently found a job in a bar in Wyoming.

The Hero: Bodie Ryan - he is a former Navy SEAL who had been held captive for two years and had been given drugs without consent which modified his DNA. He and his teammates now had super speed, strength, hearing, eyesight, and more. They all now live in a town called Marble Falls and together they own Marble Protection and are hunting their former commander Hylar, who is the man behind Project Arma and wants to create his own army of super soldiers so he can rule the world.

The Story: Bodie was tasked with finding and protecting Maya since he and his teammates know that what she witnessed that day would put her in the sights of Hylar and the enhanced soldiers that work for him. He got a job as a bartender at the same bar where Maya worked. They got to know each other as friends while Bodie kept his secret about why he was there, and Maya kept hers about what she was running from.

Like the previous books in this series, the story in this book was good. We find out more about the beginnings of Project Arma and the people behind it. There was some steam, some good friends and I liked that this book took place in a different town than Marble Falls. I liked both characters and the story was surprising in parts. I like it when things happen that you can’t predict.

This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Alex Knox and Janine Granda. I really like both of these narrators. Janine has a youthful, yet intelligent sounding voice and she sounds very natural. Alex Knox has a deep voice, which I love, and he is good at having different voices for different characters.

I can’t believe this is the sixth book in the Project Arma series! Each and every book is sensational and this book, Bodie, is just as fantastic! Five plus stars!

We met Maya in book five and I couldn’t wait to find out what happens between her and Bodie as well as all of the continued drama and suspense. Every book literally is riveting reading and you get hooked at the beginning, devouring every word until the end and this is no different. Bodie is the prankster/joker in the group and such a sweetheart to boot. Maya is so tough on herself, I just wanted to wrap her up in cotton wool and protect and care for her. Um… can you tell these characters actually become real?

I knew it, I absolutely knew! But then again I think readers were meant too. What did I know? Who one of the ‘evil’ characters is but that’s it 🤐 I am not spoiling it for anyone. I will say, though, the way this was exposed is cleverly done. But don’t be fooled into thinking there aren’t any surprises in store because there are and they pack a punch!

Holy moly once the drama and action heats up it’s all in and the adrenaline rush is on! Plenty of emotions are experienced all the way as well. I can’t believe how Ms Kathryn keeps crafting such interesting action-packed scenes!

I love the support each team member and their partner readily gives each other, the whole ‘we have your back’ attitude is loud and clear and they prove it too. Oliver’s story is intriguing so now I can’t wait for it!

Maya is on the run after witnessing several murders at her lab over the theft of some chemicals. She was in contact with a reporter Quinn but had to run to stay alive. Quinn and the team are determined to find Maya and keep her safe.

After finally tracking Maya, Bodie is sent in to protect her and gain her trust. Maya has never been taken care of or been loved she is an orphan so getting close to people and having people worry about her is a new concept for her.

Maya runs into some issues with trust but determined that Bodie is far to gorgeous to ignore.

The team get closer to finding Hylar and the truth about Sinclair is finally revealed.

Maya is a very determined woman. Determined to stay alive no matter what. Bodie is glad for that news.

Another great story. Love Maya's detetmination.

Next book Oliver.....

Super Soldier Rescue!!

Bodie Ryan is playful, sweet and flirty but oh so serious when he needs to be.

An unattractive exterior wouldn’t take away from his kindness. Or his protective nature. Or the way he tried to make everyone around him smile.

“If you mean that you’re not surprised my parents stopped with me because I’m perfect, then you’d be correct.”

“No. I mean it explains your boyish personality. Your humor.”

Maya Harper is on the run looking over her shoulder at every turn. She doesn’t trust anyone. Brodie is sent to find her and protect her. When these men fall they fall hard. A protective alpha and a vulnerable woman. An attraction so strong nether of them can deny it.

Easy. “I believe in love and happy ever after’s. I believe everyone deserves someone by their side to make the bad days bearable and the good days even better.”

This author has instantly become one of my favorites. Her writing will keep you enthralled and eagerly awaiting the next book.

Alot of this book is a waiting game, while it keeps you perfectly transfixed, the lack of suspense and knowing the authors work, you'll be sitting there waiting for the evil to show itself. And boy does it! With twists that you never would of guessed, the author has written yet another stellar book.
This is one series I never want to end but know it'll have to eventually. For now I eagerly await for whatever the author has in store for us with the next book.

Bodie
Project Arma, Book 6
By: Nyssa Kathryn
Narrated by: Alex Knox, Janine Granda

Nyssa Kathryn continues to blow me away with another amazing “Project Arma” novel. She created something very special when she created this series, the world it is set in, the characters and their storylines. A team of former Navy Seals are on a mission to put an end Project Arma and those running it. The eight member team formed a brotherhood and there is a great camaraderie amongst them. To get the most out of the world building and the ongoing Project Arma storyline, it is best to enjoy the series in order written. Each book features a different team member, but the overall storyline continues throughout the series and the books pick up where the other left off. This sixth book tells Bodie Ryan and Maya Harper’s story. Bodie has appeared throughout the series, but Maya was introduced in the previous book, “Wyatt”, she was Quinn’s witness to the story she was working on when she worked as an investigative reporter for the NY Times. Maya worked in a lab and witnessed the murder of her colleagues and theft of certain substances. She has been on the run ever since and Maya felt bad that she did not offer her a safe place to hide. The team tracked her down and assigned Bodie to protect her and bring her back to Marble, but Bodie needed to get her to trust him first. It was great to watch these two get to know each other and build a relationship. She was fragile and still running scared so it took time for him to gain her trust, time they really did not have because if his team could track her down, so could the bad guys. And there is another twist thrown in, another person that was connected to Hylar and helping him run Project Arma, something the team missed. There is never a dull moment in this book, the story is cleverly plotted with a perfect balance of drama, angst, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and a slow burn romance. Nyssa Kathryn, thank you for another fantastic novel and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fantastic narration, Alex Knox and Janine Granda were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life and did so with a complete understanding of who they were portraying. I loved how they took each role and made it their own, and were believable in every role they played. Granda killed it as Maya, grasping every side of her personality, her fierceness, determination and her strength. Knox nailed it as Bodie and played his role with perfection. Both were fabulous performing the roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance. These versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the amazing listen.

Will her fears prevent her to know love …

This is my third read by the author, and each has been packed with actions, a strong but wounded female lead and a sweet and caring hero.
Bodie knows from the beginning there could be something between Maya is new assignment. He feels more for her than he probably should, but he admires her courage and resilience. Despite everything, she still finds the strength to fight to survive. Like his brothers of Arms, he has enhanced strength and senses, which alas might be a deterrent for Maya.
Maya who never had much, lost everything but her life when the lab which employed her was attacked and all her colleagues murdered. Now she hold on for dear life, dodging bullets and assassination attempts. So she knows her stay here is only temporary and no good could come from become to close to people. After all, she never had someone to rely on nor truly hold her. Plus with her health deteriorating, she does not need more complications.

They are cute together, and even if things do not go smoothly between them, with the side characters who seem to love nothing more than to meddle in, it was fun to watch them overcome their differences and trust issues.

I have loved every book in this series but BODIE, by far, is my favorite! Bodie is one of the former Navy SEALs that were betrayed and experimented on and given enhanced abilities without their knowledge or consent. He and his team are still in a race to destroy Project Arma along with its creator and his band of bad guy super-soldiers who are after them all for revenge. Five of the eight guys on Bodie’s team have found their special ladies all under harrowing circumstances revolving around Project Arma; this time it’s Bodie’s turn. I love Bodie, he’s an absolute sweetheart! His character is friendly, fun, protective, accepting, completely swoon worthy and all alpha male.

We first meet Maya in Wyatt’s book when she reaches out to Quinn, Wyatt’s girlfriend and Mason’s sister, a reporter writing a story involving a break in and deaths at a lab where Maya works. She helps Quinn and the team with information related to Project Arma before she vanishes. Now on the run, she lands in a small town taking a job as a bartender, hoping to become invisible for a while while figuring out what to do next. Unknown to Maya, through her few conversations with Quinn, Bodie and the team have kept track of her looking for the right time to reach out and offer help. The main problem is the guys she’s running from are exactly like them – enhanced. Bodie has to situate himself in her life without suspicion and earn her trust so he and his teammates can offer their protection. Bodie finds the perfect way to become part of Maya’s life but in doing so the connection they form blurs the lines between protector and protectee and something more.

I just cannot say enough how good this series is! Nyssa’s writing style completely draws you into the story and keeps you invested with the characters and the outcome. The attention to detail and descriptiveness of the scenes and situations are amazing. I consumed this story in one sitting and in the midst of Maya’s danger, I was right there with her holding my breath on the edge of my seat. There is plenty of suspense, mystery, danger, drama, humor, passion, and brotherhood to keep you completely engaged from the beginning of the book to the end.

I give 5 stars for the series but different stars for each individual book. Rather than write a review of each of the 8 books, I'm just going to write 1 for the series. The series is about a group of former Navy SEALs who were experimented on without their consent and became super soldiers. They now run a business together while investigating the man/people who did this to them and still present a threat to them and their loved ones. Each man falls for a woman he needs to protect from their enemies. My initial impression of this series was that it was going to be a collection of stories that satisfy an array of tropes with the dedicated, loyal, protective hot guy falling for, and needing to protect, the strong but tormented woman. It is that; and if that was all it was, I would have been fine with that. I would have read them, probably more slowly, and taken breaks between books for maybe a little more substance. However, this series was tied together really well with the background story of chasing the bad guys who did this to them. With every story, it revealed a little more of what was going on, someone else involved, and increased the stakes. It really sucked me in, making it increasingly harder to stop reading and impossible to read anything else between books. For the last 3 books, I started reading the next book immediately after finishing the previous book, and kept reading until I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore. The whole series together was quite good but should be read in order. I also highly recommend the audiobooks. I listened while reading along.

Bodie moves to Keystone to keep an eye on Maya. She is a former lab tech on the run from Project Arma because she is the soul survivor in an attack on her work place. He wants to gain her trust before he tells her who he really is but they begin to build more than friendship. This is the first book that is set outside of Marble Falls. It is also when the background story really begins to unfold.

Bodie
Project Arma, Book 6
By: Nyssa Kathryn
Narrated by: Alex Knox, Janine Granda

Where do I begin? This is the sixth book in this amazing romantic suspense series. Based on an 8 member former SEAL team, each book has it's own main featured team member and the story flows from book to book. This is Bodie's story. In our last book, we saw Maya briefly. She is Quinn's witness to a brutal murder scene and rather than help her find a place to stay, Maya flees. Now the team is out to seek and protect this woman. With Bodie as her protection, she has nothing to fear, except for the loss of her heart. But she is unwilling to give it, knowing her medical condition. The two become involved, but she is still being sought after by Project Arma! And not for the reason I thought! Packed with action, passion and surprises, Nyssa Kathryn continues to keep the suspense high and the love flowing. The bond between the men is immeasurable and the love for their women and families is just as strong. As this book ends, I cannot wait to grab the next one to see what happens next, it's that good! Bring on Oliver, I need to hear it!

This one is narrated by Janine Granda and Alex Knox and they are fabulous together. Granda dials into Maya. She is broken, not only for what she has witnessed, but for her health. She carries a lot of emotional baggage, and I love how Granda is tuned in with her. I could feel her pain and hesitation then the change. Knox is new to me, and i have a new male narrator now to follow. What a voice. Strong, alpha protectiveness pours out of him as Bodie. He can turn into the machine Bodie is on a dime and then back to his passionate man for Maya. Loved these two and enjoyed the listen.

I absolutely loved this book! I feel like each time I read a book in the Project Arma series, I get so drawn in, and there is even more suspense, mystery and heart throbs. I've been anxiously awaiting for Bodie and Maya's story and it didn't disappoint. It's probably one of my favorite books in the series this far!

This book hooks you from the very beginning, and I literally couldn't put it down. Bodie is the prankster/joker in the group and is such a sweetheart. Maya has had a hard life, growing up in foster homes, and is so tough on herself and doesn't rely on anyone but herself. Maya is working at a bar in a small town as a bartender, and Bodie convinces the owner to give him a job there too, so he can keep an eye on her, and get to know her better as well. He's so sweet to her, and the chemistry and attraction is mutual, Maya and Bodie are perfect for one another. I love that throughout the book, Bodie never gives up on Maya, he protects her and even when he tells her he loves her and she can't say it back yet, he is patient with her. I also think Maya breaks out of her shell a lot and grows throughout this book. She doesn't let her heart defect define who she is, and she realizes, she has never had anyone in the past to lean on or love, but she can't let that define her future. She is a really strong person. Their chemistry is red hot, and they really do bring out the best in each other. Maya is a lot stronger than she gives herself credit for.

There is so much suspense in this book and we get to learn who one of the bad guys working with Hylar is... oh man, buckle up. There is plenty of action in this book and it also pulls at your heart strings.

Bodie is the sixth book in the ongoing series Project Arma. This series is based on a Team of Navy Seals who were experimented on resulting in enhanced abilities. The Team trusted those involved and had no idea they were being used and turned into weapons. Each book builds upon the previous as they track down those involved.

We learned about Maya in Quinn and Wyatt’s book. She is a scientist with a heart defect who watched all of her co-workers being murdered by members of Project Arma as they stole items from the lab where she worked. She’s been on the run and disappeared after giving Quinn some valuable information for the story Quinn was investigating/writing. The team feels responsible for her safety so Bodie volunteers to find and follow Maya to help keep safe.

Maya doesn’t trust anyone after having witnessed what she did. She’s flighty, scared and always looking over her shoulder. She’s attracted to Bodie when he introduces himself but has no idea he’s like the men she is running from. Bodie tries to keep things professionally but he develops feelings for Maya and is scared of telling her who he really is for fear she will run again and leave him.

I liked both Maya and Bodie. At times I felt they both should have been more truthful, and at other times I felt they pushed away too much causing each of them more unnecessary stress and hurt feelings. There a good bit of action towards the end and we learn more about who is working on the Project and some of the things they are planning. The team is getting closer to finding them and hopefully getting their revenge.

I love this series and have all the future releases diarised so I can read them as soon as they are released, this book is no disappointment and carries on this most excellent series.

Bodie and Maya’s story is the first that isn’t mainly set in marble falls so we don’t get as much of the team interaction as we have done previously, or revisited the couples from the previous books. This is more than made up for by the introduction of a host of new characters though that enter this world and seem to fit right in. Roe and Trisha are fab character additions and I hope to see more of them.

Maya is running scared, dealing with too much and really doesn’t know what her next step should be. She’s basically surviving. Bodie is another badass alpha male but definitely not one who doesn’t appreciate Maya’s inner strength and fortitude and allows her space to be herself while just gravitating more and more in her world getting her comfortable with him.

I loved how in tune with his own feelings Brodie was, and how determined he was to give her the space and time to tell him her secrets in her own time and not push for all the answers, even though he was worried.
I liked how mindful Maya was about sharing her feelings and how she didn’t rush through her thought processes with her relationship, guided more by her heart than the fear of her last and her current situation.

A sizzling chemistry and tropically strong underlying story (continuation of the running theme) makes this a fab book (though one you do need to read as part of the series to get the best enjoyment)

So after a little break from this series, I finally read Bodie. I find this series such a comfort series, like I love to read these books.

Although this book is no different, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it (got through it in like 2 days), I really couldn’t help but notice it’s similarities to the other books. I honestly think you could’ve written this book with parts from all the others. I saw lots of similarities in Evie and Maya’s stories and obviously Maya was kidnapped and rushed away in a car like all the other girls!

That being said, I really don’t mind. Like I said before, it’s a comfort read. I almost feel safe myself, reading about the project arma guys 😂

I was a bit disappointed that Roe didn’t have anything to do with saving Maya… I thought her relationship with Roe was building up to something like that, especially with his police background, but I guess not.

The only other thing I noticed, was at the end of this book, when Maya is in hospital and Wyatt and Oliver come to her room to talk to her and Bodie. Wyatt says that Quinn has gone to get coffee… sorry but in no world would the guys just let her go and get coffee alone, after everything that’s just happened with Maya, and especially as Quinn’s ordeal wasn’t that long ago…. I don’t know.. I feel like that was a bit of a slip up at the end!

So that being said, it’s a 4 star read for me , just because of its similarities to the other books and the lil slip up at the end. Still buzzing for the next haha!

The author delivers another great story in this thought provoking series. A series about a group of Navy SEALs that were experimented on. Making them think that the enhanced strength they were acquiring was to make them better soldiers for the USA when it fact it was the opposite. This group of good men that escaped and are now tracking their evil Commander, are finding that love is possible. Especially when they find strong women who make them realize everything is possible. This time, it’s Bodie’s turn.
Maya Harper, a lab technician , survived the deadly attack at her lab. An attack ordered by the nemesis of the group. On the run , she ends up in Colorado. Knowing she needs protection, Bodie volunteers to go to Colorado and keep tabs on her. Neither ever expected that their lives would change forever. But secrets are being kept and the danger intensifies. Add to that the illness Maya is keeping from Bodie, and things heat up.
Will Maya open her heart to Bodie, especially since she feels she isn’t lovable? Will Bodie declare his feelings? Will they find their HEA, or will the enemy get to them first?
This was another engaging story that will keep you on the edge of your seats , while you hope that Bodie gets a chance with Maya.
The story is also a reminder that life is not black and white but rather variations of gray.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

3.5. Ooh so close to being brilliant. Sadly a few plot holes.

Maya, is the only living witness, to the horrible murder of all her lab colleagues. When she disappears, Evie and Wyatt track her to a small town. Bodie volunteers to go and protect her, and for whatever reason he doesn’t tell her why he’s there. Not even when it’s obvious she’s been found, and in danger.

Maya has a rare heart defect that caused a hole in her heart. It’s gradually getting worse and she desperately needs surgery, but has to go on the run instead. When Bodie gets a job with Maya to protect her, they fall in love. But he still keeps it from her, why he’s there, and it’s so annoying! Just tell her! She has the right to know. It becomes evident that she’s a witness to more than the murders, the team try to protect her and save her life and figure out what she knows. As she doesn’t tell them what she witnessed, they are working in the dark. WHY??? Why doesn’t she tell them? She obviously doesn’t trust Bodie. It’s just really frustrating.

Then there’s Bodie or red, all the way through the other books, I’ve assumed he had red hair. And that’s why his nickname is red. Only to find out that it’s something entirely different! As she never describes him, apart from his muscles, sigh….

So the danger is over quickly again. Which is the same in every book. But I still loved this book. Bodie is really sweet with her, and protective.

Bodie and Maya

This book was vastly different from the rest of the series. Because Maya was in hiding and on the run, her story was not in Marble Falls, it was in Keystone, and it was centered around her and Bodie. Although the rest of the team did make small appearances, there was a lack of the closeness that I’ve come to expect in the past books. They support Bodie over the phone but only arrive to help in the last quarter of the book.

Maya had spent her entire life alone. She was always a temporary fixture in others’ lives so when Bodie barges into her life she tries to distance herself so she doesn’t get hurt. On top of that she doesn’t know who she can trust after seeing her colleagues murdered by men with super human strength and running from a faceless voice that haunts her nightmares. Bodie works hard to earn Maya’s trust. He is patient with her and never falters in his determination to be the man she needs. He takes her on dates, fulfills her dream of ice skating, fixes her heat, and protects her life.

It was nice to have the book focus so much on Maya and Bodie. Bodie was exactly what Maya needed and he appeared at exactly the right time. In past books Bodie has talked about wanting the same kind of love his other teammates have found and he knows Maya will be that person when he meets her. They have a lot of obstacles to face. Her trust issues, her heart defect, and his super soldier abilities.

This was another nice and light read, which is just what I ended up needing. I did enjoy their story, but there were a few things that I didn't really get with Maya, aside from the supposedly rare condition that she happened to have, just like Sinclair.

Editing-wise, there were some wording choices that threw me off. I just shrugged them off, though, as they were when someone was speaking, and not everyone speaks in proper English or grammar.

My question is that, if Maya was ready to run at a moment's notice, why didn't she run when someone broke into her house? She knew she didn't leave the door open, but yet she stayed. Even staying with Bodie seemed like a stretch, considering the abilities the ones after her had (that she didn't know about Bodie). She ended up staying days, weeks longer, just asking to be discovered. Granted, it would have derailed the love story if she disappeared, but that's the honest reaction I expected. I couldn't even believe she was staying.

My next issue is that, yet again, the woman gets kidnapped. That seems to be the favorite thing for this author, as it has happened in Every. Single. Book. in this series so far. I'm not going to hold my breath and hope it doesn't continue from here on, because let's face it... it probably will.

Overall, this series is OK, but just don't expect anything deep. I might recommend this to someone looking for a light read. I doubt I would read them again, though.

I swear, this series just keeps getting better with each book! Bodie and Maya have a lot between them: secrets, chemistry, more secrets…you get it. Bodie needs to earn Maya’s trust so he can help her, but will she believe that he’s truly fallen for her when she finds out? And what will Bodie do when Maya provides the missing piece to the puzzle?

I love the world building that this author has done throughout this series. These men have been used and abused, yet they’re not about to turn their backs on what is right in the world. And the women that they find to be theirs come from the same caliber of character and determination. They’re all loyal, stubborn, strong in their own way, and work to make the entire group better. Maya is no exception to this rule, even if she thinks her life of loneliness has stunted her ability to rely on others or be a part of something. And Bodie is willing to grind himself into dust to prove just how important Maya is, with or without the danger swirling around her. So when one more question is answered in this dangerous game of Life and Death, my only regret came from hitting the last page of this book. But that’s okay. Oliver is on the way and I’m sure I’ll get more of everyone who’s found their One before him, as well as more questions and answers, so I’ll try to wait patiently to see where his story leads.

5 Stars for Bodie’s book in this amazing series!!!

As Author Nyssa Kathryn releases each book, I am becoming so much more invested in this series and these characters. While Bodie and Maya aren’t my absolute favourite couple, (that honour belongs to Eden and Shylah) their story is every bit as amazing as all of the others, perhaps more so, because we are getting closer to the end and more secrets are being revealed.

In the way of a plot twist that I’d had sort of suspected, Ms Kathryn threw in a few answers to questions I’d been formulating. Bodie and Maya’s book was fast moving and addictive, so I was a ball of tension as I read this from cover to cover, and the end came before I was ready. Project ARMA is such an amazing series and I believe that readers have to need to start with book one, LUCA, to get the most out of their reading experience. While each book covers the romantic (and 🔥🔥🔥) relationship of different couples, a common plot thread is what the entire series is cleverly built upon, and we are treated to different tropes from second chances to best friend’s little sister.

Seriously, if strong-as-all-hell-alpha-military-men are what you crave, look no further than these books from Nyssa Kathryn. Don’t say no to this 5-Star series 💚🖤

This story starts out as more of a emerging romance than the fast paced suspense and angst and it was a nice change to roll with a developing relationship, although there still was military action that pushed the story further along.
I felt more worry for the h than the alpha men and just when you think you know what's going to happen, Nyssa drops a bombshell that's been a teasing question in previous the books, I fist pumped and kept listening. Then when more about the h is revealed than i expected my jaw dropped ...wow. Maya is so unassuming and not as sassy and quick thinking as some other heroines, yet she held such vital information. Everything is starting to fall into place as enemies are outed and I'm really enjoying the plotline, the sweet humour, the romance and that bit of steam that keeps it all a tad spicey.
I'm still keeping Wyatt at the top of my list but Luca and Bodie are a close second.
Each story gives you a brief background so there is a standalone option with this series. As we know Oliver is the next to succumb and a little tid bit of information gave me a clue to the beginnings of his story.
I haven't listened to these narrators before and I felt I had to speed up the dialogue but aside from that they did a great job and kept the characters lively and interesting.

Maya is scientist that was working for a pharmacy in New York when it was robbed and all of her co-workers were violently killed.  Maya is the only one to make it out alive and she holds a secret others are willing to kill her for.  She contacts a reporter to tell her story but then is frightened and disappears.  Th reported  just so happens to be the sister of one of the men altered by Project Arma.  The men from Marble Hill Security, know what Maya has seen and who she is running from.  Bodie is one of the former Navy SEAL's that was unknowingly altered by the project.  He and his team make up Marble Hill Security and are doing everything they can to wipe out the evil that is Project Arma.  Bodie is tasked with finding Maya and keeping her safe.

Another fast paced, heart pounding book in the Project Arma series.  I loved seeing Bodie get his happily ever after.  Bodie has such a sensitive heart and has been watching his brother's find love.  Now it's his turn.  If you think reading a series would get boring, think again.  This book had plot twists and surprises I never saw coming.  Maya is a strong and courageous woman wanting to do what’s right but scared for her life.

I received a review copy of this book from the author. I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Bodie has volunteered to be the protector for Maya, a woman that narrowly escaped death when Project Arma infiltrated the lab she worked at. Maya is on the run and in hiding but she has a health issue that both saved her life and could kill her. Maya has found a nice little town where she feels that she is relatively safe and is finding a bit of peace and belonging, only for that to come crashing down around her. Will she ever be safe?

I have loved these books from the beginning. Each story shows the lengths that the creators of Project Arma will go to get what they want. No one can get in their way because they will take them out. With Bodie’s story, more secrets come to light on the beginning of Project Arma and why Maya was really spared after the attack. These books are full of secrets, suspense, action, great characters and a wonderful story of finding love and a family. I love Bodie and Maya’s story and was so happy for Maya finally finding a place and a family. I look forward to more of Maya and Bodie as well as Oliver and Kye’s stories to come. Luca and Evie need to set a date though! Come on!!  I give this story a 5-star review and am anxious for more.

Bodie and Maya

Loved this book! It’s the 6th in this series and features hunky Bodie. He wants to find his woman like 5 of his teammates have. When it’s time to find the missing scientist that Quinn found while researching her story Bodie knows he’s the man for the job. Maya has been on the run since the lab she worked in was invaded by men with supernatural skills. She is the lone survivor thanks to a hole in her heart that caused her heart to skip a beat. The intruders thought she was dead and made a hasty retreat. Maya is now in Colorado working at a bar thanks to a savvy bar owner who recognized a a woman on the run because she was once there. Bodie convinces the bar owner to hire him too and feelings grow between the two. Maya grew up in foster care and has never had anyone to care for her so she doesn’t quite know what or how to feel. Danger is close when someone breaks into her house. Bodie has his hands full breaking through Maya’s barriers, worrying about her heart defect and how she will take the news he also has super human abilities plus keeping her safe and dealing with his own feelings.

Another 5 star leaving you wanting more.

Oh Bodie!!! Sigh..... (pretty sure I say this after each book, but seriously, Bodie is awesome) This former bad a$$ Navy SEAL has a heart of gold, his character is fun loving, sweet and extremely protective! not only from his enemies but to Maya as well..... He took to her instantly, drawn to her and had nothing but her well being on his mind at all times. He builds on his relationship with her and gains her trust.
Maya Harper has been through the ringer. Poor girl if anyone was needing someone in her corner, its Bodie and his brothers.
We find ourselves again getting more of the puzzle pieces that is Project Arma. I found myself going "no way" when a bit of information was dropped.🤫(no spoilers here) This series leaves me always wanting more. I find myself plowing through the books and face meeting palm, because I have to wait for the next release. Haha. This was such a twist and I cannot wait for the nest book. Well done Nyssa, you did it again. Bodie and Maya are fantastic.

Maya Harper has a life-threatening health issue. She’s petrified. She’s on the run. She doesn’t know from who but she knows they have inhuman strength and that they killed her few friends and co-workers and would’ve killed her if her heart hadn’t chosen that moment to do it’s trick of not beating.

Bodie Ryan volunteered to go after Maya when they found a location for her and though Bodie wanted a woman of his own and playfully told the team the next single woman they helped was his, he wasn’t ready to fall so quickly or so hard for Maya. As Brodie makes himself convenient for Maya and seamlessly weaves himself into her life, Maya falls hard for him too.

Despite Maya’s feelings, her past and her current situation make it not so very easy to trust while she has to face her biggest fears, Bodie doesn’t have back-up when Hylar’s team begins closing in on Maya’s location, plus old team suspicions get new life and substance as the team gains a huge piece of the puzzle.

I have read every single story in Project Arma series. I love the sci-fi plot, action-packed fast pace, and emotional entanglement of the romance. This team of Navy SEALs have been used as guinea pigs for genetic altering drugs to make them stronger, faster in speed and recovery by ambitious rouge soldiers and scientists. What they can’t change is their ethics. This team of 8 heroes continue to hunt the rouge soldiers and protect the innocent. This story is Bodie’s turn. His team is trying to protect Maya. Maya appears in prior episodes. She is on the run from rouge soldiers who has enhanced power just like Bodie’s team. Bodie has to go undercover to protect her. But when their feelings are involved and the line between being a protector and a lover is blurred, things get heated and complicated. I love the writing and the characters. I can’t wait to read the next story.

Not my favorite.

Bodie is one of 8 former Seal’s who were subjected to skill enhancing drugs in Project Arma without knowing the true purpose of their participation. Now they are working together to shut the program down. Maya is a pharmaceutical scientist who survived a robbery at her facility when her coworkers were all killed. Now she is on the run. Bodie is sent to track her down and keep her safe but he has to gain her trust first. When it becomes clear they have a common enemy, they must work together to keep Maya safe and stop the people who are hunting her. This book was different than the others in the series to me. What I enjoyed most about the other books was the 8 men and the way they worked together, their protectiveness, and team attitude. The team was absent in this book until halfway through and I just didn’t feel the connection that I felt in the other books. That said, I still enjoyed the story but it is not my favorite in the series.
