So am I huge fiction reader. When I heard the author was writing this book, I was ecstatic. First of all I know what type book she likes to read, and then for her to be writing one just thrilled me.

As far as the book itself, I enjoyed it very much. Once I started I could not put it down. I am a very fast reader, and finished it in one night. And of course I immediately sent her a message and said where is book 2? LOL.

Definitely can’t wait to read it. Wishing the author very great success.

First off, I want to say that the author is one of my best friends and I’m so proud of her for this book! But with that being said, I will not be biased in my review.

I want to start off with talking about the things I enjoyed about the book. I really liked the characters. Elara is the main character of the story and starts off as a spy for her kingdom. But I enjoyed her character growth into wanting to be the leader that she was meant to be. The other characters had their own fun twists as well through out the story. The plot was also very intriguing. Definitely left you wondering and trying to guess what twists and turns were about to come next.

Now for my critiques about the story. I wish there was a lot more world building. I know sometimes reading that can be boring, but unfortunately with very little world building I was left with a blank slate. I wish I knew more about the land and each kingdom, learned more about the history of it, what each place looked like, and what was unique about each kingdom to make them important along with how they each worked together to support one another. My imagination was just very lost when figuring out what to picture. Another critique would be some areas where info was repetitive and a few contradictions. There were quite a few plot points that were brought up very frequently and then there were others that were brought up, but suddenly facts changed which would be a little confusing.

Lastly, which this is something I blame the publisher for, there were quite a few errors. It honestly made me wonder if they even had an editor read it through. Again, I’m blaming the publisher and not the author for this. Here’s where I’ll be a bit biased: It was just something that really upset me, because I know how hard the author worked on this book. So to see something like that just felt really careless on the publisher’s part.

Overall, I had fun reading it! I’m very excited for the sequel and to see where the story of Creltis leads!

Inora, Thalnos, and Kaelon are the three kingdoms that makeup Creltis. Elara, a royal orphan, was living with her stepparents and stepbrother, Bron, when she was nineteen years old. She had been performing the dirty job for the throne of Inora ever since her father's passing, wandering the regions of Creltis. Elara is given the mission of infiltrating Thalnos, the most powerful kingdom in Creltis, by seducing its prince, Kal Astor, after reporting to her most recent assignment. Elara juggles avoiding the prince's amorous approaches with her allegiance to Inora and her father's memories. As she faces the betrayals, lies, and truths that were concealed for her safety, her life undergoes significant upheaval. She also manages to prevent Creltis from experiencing a war that it hasn't seen in generations, despite her desire to be back riding in her saddle.

Each captivating chapter made you hungry to read the following one. The characters were enjoyable. The story's protagonist, Elara, begins as a spy for her realm. However, I liked seeing her develop into the leader she was destined to be. The narrative is really thorough. Throughout the tale, the other characters also experienced some amusing turns. The book's straightforward English and complicated narrative are two of its most coveted features.

Stunning cliffhanger eagerly awaiting the upcoming book. The upcoming novels in the series are on my must-read list. The book is more understandable and enjoyable to read because of the author's attention to even the tiniest things. The author's attention to detail and the book's unhurried pace are both quite admirable. The novel might, however, have moved along a little more quickly, which would have increased its appeal. I think the author gave just enough context for the characters to have a solid basis, and she kept the reader intrigued. The descriptions of the beautiful surroundings encouraged me to travel to a large forest and enjoy the wonderful outdoors.

The story is very good. I just wish that it was edited better -all of the typos and errors distracted and took away from the storyline.

I couldn't put this book down. What an amazing first book from this author. Each time I thought I had it figured out I was blindsided once again.

And talk about falling in love with some characters quickly and despising others just as much as the protagonist is forced to.

And if you are unsure, this book kicks it into high gear by chapter 10. Things get spicy, mystery abounds, and the pace begins to hit breakneck speed of continuous twists and turns.

I would write more, but I am off to read book two, Impeding all Chaos, in this series!
