The human female is a fascinating creature.

She is not like our kind. Not like the ukkur.

She is fragile. We will protect her.

She is defiant. We will tame her.

She is fertile. We will claim her.

She smells delicious...

...We will devour her raw.

But the wild little human has an appetite of her own. A big appetite which a single ukkur cannot sate. She requires an entire pack to fulfill her primal desires. Three dominant warriors to give her what she needs.

She is hungry. We will share her...

Body and soul.

It's love at first smell....

Okay, I might be a little odd, but I love this trope where there is a language barrier and in this case also primitive Alphas that don't even know what a female is. I cackle with glee when they don't know why the female doesn't have a piss stick, and discover her "hole". I loved this story and the continuation of the over-arcing story line. I really love Lizzy's sick twisted mind that comes up with these crazy steamy tales.

I really liked Serenity, Hruk, Jagga, and Grodd. Can I say again I'm learning there's something a little wrong with me but I loved Grodd. The most primitive, animalistic one. The one who fell face first into Serenity's slit, lapping up her juices, because it smelled and tasted so good the first time he sees her. I can see how some would say there might be a smidgen of dubcon, but not really and there's no bad intentions. I mean I'm waiting for my big alpha to find me and fall into my slit face first. What woman isn't?

Anyhoo, Lizzy's stories are fun, imaginative, and steamy as all get out. There might be a little or a lot of craziness but there is also depth and a realness. This was really good. I liked it. I mean come on, you have three sweet protective Alphas, menage, and DP. What else do you need? 🤪🤣

Ok. By this third book the intrigue has definitely worn off for me. The characters were still interesting but honestly, the sheer amount of sex is a repetitive turnoff at this point. And considering how much it takes up on the page I was skimming fairly early on. Been there, read it, enjoyed it, now I’m over it. I don’t even care how this one ends. There’s no epic alien saga happening here, like I’d hoped. The connection between the characters is lacking compared to the first two books also. And there’s only so much talk of “piss sticks” I can handle and so much lubrication that the human women from the future secrete that they must squelch as they walk. Poor things. They save a ton of money on lube though.

Fantasy. Fiction. Aliens. Was good while it lasted. Should have stopped at book one, or paced myself. Either way I’m not rating this because the writing was the same as the first two books which I enjoyed. So this is on me.

It was OK.

I didn't get on with this book as much as I tried. The first 2 were really good, but this one I actually ended up skimming through several pages of content. :(

There was just far too much filler and repeating of the same thing just said in a different way. Or the same name said in the beginning of a sentence 3 times in a row... Stuff like that.

A shame really because the series itself I really enjoy and I love the world building Lizzy Bequin has created in this series.

Getting back camp is not easy and when Hruk gets hurt, Jagga and Grodd help to save him & learn all of Serenity’s intimate secrets as she acquires two more mates. I hold my breath waiting for Lizzy's books and I'm never disappointed. Raw is the latest in the ukkur warrior series. This time Serenity escapes from the nith and is taken into an ukkur encampment where she - as well as other humans who have escaped - are kept in a canyon camp guarded by huge ukkur warriors. She is offered a chance to return to Earth, but is tricked and is nearly bred at the hands of the human male who was supposed to be helping her. Unknown to Serenity she has been watched since she first arrived at the ukkur camp so when her "watcher" sees her leaving he decides to follow sensing she is being led into danger. With Hkur's help she manages to get away and she and Hurk start their return to the canyon camp. Along the way, Hurk is bitten by some horrible "fang thing" and slips into unconsciousness, leaving Serenity to her own devices. She decides to try and make the canyon camp but is found by three other ukkur warriors. So starts the most amazing journey of her (and our) life.
This is an amazingly fantastic book and Lizzy Bequin has a wonderfully creative mind to come up with the stories she does. In this one she goes a little further than in the previous ukkur books in that she creates a language for them. I love it when authors go to that little bit of extra distance to add something different to their books and Lizzy certainly does this.
Highly recommended read. You don't need to have read the previous books to read this one, but it would help as Serenity meets characters in the canyon camp that we met in previous books and it's nice to have read their stories first.

Oh, I squeal inside everytime I get an email from my girl, Lizzy B., informing me of a new book. Since I read the ARC for her first book, I just knew we were going to be serious BBFs (best book friends 😘). I could totally tell she would be the type of person that could make the ordinary, spectacular. I haven't been wrong and every book has confirmed it. I may not love every book or every character, BUT I like every book so much.

When I got my hot little hands on this book and knew I was back in the world of the Ukkur, I told my hubby to watch to kids as I locked myself in my room giddy with excitement for another story that I could only call a raunchy adventure (oh, I mean that with the highest praise).

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Devine Lizzy B, she has a mind that can shape a world, a character or race of peoples, a whole backstory that is very engaging. She gives the right amount of information to keep the reader interested and the plot developing but leaves room for overall possible series growth. At the same time, the girl has a filthy mind and I love it. She isn't afraid to delve into the steamy and raunchy scenes while giving the reader a great story. Most of the time the alpha characters are clueless about humans, so there is still humor found in the steamy scenes. I'm sure some would say it's an acquired tasted; but I love how it's not smut or dark romance, more like something in-between.

Now for this story, Serenity was a female character I didn't mind too much. I find myself always liking the make characters more than Lizzy's female characters, but I think Serenity's ability to admit when she was wrong helped to win me over. I liked more of the story with Alyx, too. Hopefully we'll get a story on next generation of little ukkurs. Guess we'll see if there is more or not. It's another slice of fun (Boo! That was a bad pun 🙄)

The writing and editing of the ARC version of the manuscript was fairly clean, with occasional typos and mostly well constructed sentences. The world building was vivid, with the landscape and wildlife of the ukkur world coming to life. The characterization was okay, with the heroine and three heroes being sympathetic individuals if not especially nuanced. Characterization can be a challenge in a reverse harem romance when there are four or more protagonists. The development of the romantic relationship was dark and hot. The heat level of this novel was five chili peppers, which I enjoyed. The plot was exciting, with non-stop action. The pacing was quick as a consequence. I read this novel in one sitting. There was a medium amount of silly angst on the part of one of the heroes that was a little tiresome to read, but that was balanced by high stakes throughout, which I tend to prefer in my romance novels. This novel used the Mars Needs Women trope, the Partner in Trouble trope, and the Breeder trope. The world building, plot, and pacing were all four stars. The development of the romantic relationship was five stars. The characterization was three stars. I therefore gave this novel a combined rating of four stars. This novel ended on a Happy Ever After ending instead of a cliffhanger ending, so that was a big plus. I recommend this novel to readers who like high stakes and deliciously problematic power dynamics in their sci-fi romances. I look forward to reading the next book in this series when it releases. I will buy myself a keeper copy of this novel.

Ukkur Mates are back, and Lizzy Bequin's newest book Raw is more of her demented smexiness.
Read: Devoured this book in one sitting.

You must know ahead of time that Lizzy Bequins erotica is vicious and perverse Reverse Harem, not for all parties. Personally, I'm addicted, and this woman can't publish a book without me being all over it.
Read: Trigger Warning. TRIGGER WARNING!

When overpopulation on Earth means that criminals are shipped off-world to serve their sentence, no one could guess it was to be a source of meat for the alien Nith. Serenity had no clue she was in for such a harsh ending, and her freedom from that fate comes not without nightmares. All she wants is to return to Earth now. She can't bear the Nith planet or the constant fear that plagues her from the possibility of Nith discovering her home away from home. When her mistakes reveal she has an Ukkur guardian angel, she isn't sure what to think, but her body's reaction to Hruk is primal.

Hruk, Jagga, and Grodd are mega alphas. Jagga is my favorite. I just imagined him being a sexy beast. Hruk is the protector, and Grodd the muscle, but Jagga is the brains, and I appreciate intellect.

Raw takes place years after Meat, and you get to see Alyx and her men in Raw. It's nice to see where their grouping has made of themselves from their book. And it's good to know that The First Woman still is an ass-kicker.

I recommend this book for souls that like dark and twisted Alien Erotic Romance. These Ukkur aren't your boys next door, and they won't treat their women like glass. This isn't a fairy tale.

Highly recommend this series.

3.5 stars - good story, great relationships

POV: multiple
HUMOR: yes
F BOMBS: yes
CLIFFHANGER: no
NEW AUTHOR FOR ME: no
TRIGGERS: graphic violence, 2 attempted rapes, enemy aliens use humans as food, DP, mfmm (no mm, no fifth base)

Human Serenity was saved from the bad enemy aliens (Nith) and now lives with the Ukker. She comes across Hruk who becomes her rescuer. Later, she meets Jagga and Grodd, two wild Ukkers not from Hruk's group/camp. Hruk is tormented but noble. Jagga is young but intelligent. Grodd is primitive but strong .

Although this book doesn't go into much world building (You can find more of that in book 1 and 2 of this series), the story is there. However, this author excels at building chemistry and relationships. Her books are by no means super long, yet she is able to plant seeds of attraction, sprout chemistry, and grow relationships among the pages of her books.

This book is graphic in both violence and sexy times. The author seems to be able to balance the story with both light and dark, violence and tenderness, primal instincts and practical intelligence.

I only noticed one inconsistency and a couple of typos in the ARC version. Characters from book 1 make appearances, and FMC from book 2 is mentioned a couple of times. Book concludes with an HEA epilogue. Not my favorite from this series but still worth reading!

This interesting Sci-fi alien romance has an intriguing dark undertone & is definitely worth reading. The plot is well-paced, suspenseful & filled with completely unexpected situations that certainly kept my attention. There are good scene descriptions with some world building. The characters are complex individuals with good chemistry between them although the male characters are inclined to confrontational & brutal towards the enemy, they are extremely protective towards female character. There is good support from the secondary characters.
It is about: a young human female cop (Serenity Mendez) was falsely accused & sent with other prisoners off-world only to discover that they had been sold by earth to despicable aliens (Nith) for slaughter but in the nick of time another group of aliens (Ukkur) attack & take the refugees back to their camp naturally Serenity is very unsettled by past events in her life & makes some very unsound decisions that places her in the path of three ukkar alien men (Hruk, Jagga & Grodd)
There is: dangerous creatures, action, adventure, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, drama, deceit, betrayal, mates, danger, threats, conflict, violence, attempted assault, determination, strange attractions, protectiveness, jealousy, contentment, explicit steamy scenes & a well-deserved satisfying conclusion. I enjoyed reading this Sci-Fi alien romance & would recommend it.

I have not read any others in this series but I have to say that I really loved this one. I didn't feel lost at any point so it is definitely one you can pick up and go with without worrying about the back story. All you need to know is already provided. Not as dark as I thought it would be but then that is always subjective to the person reading it though. I loved how innocent, yes truly, Hruk was as well as Grodd and Jagga the three Ukkurs. While they were to some extent depicted as animalistic there was a real sense of innocence and wonder with it all. I couldn't help but want to hug them for it at times. Yes they were killers too but more so because there was no other way. The way that they cared for Serenity and wanted to protect her and her kind was touching. I also cannot blame Serenity for wanting off the horrid rock either. I really felt for her in the situation she was in too. This was great book and I will definitely read it again I'm sure.

Lizzy Bequin has been a must read author for me for some time now and this book only reinforces that distinction. Ms. Bequin has a way of grabbing onto her readers with her amazing storytelling and world building. She then proceeds to take you on a wild roller coaster ride and you better have a fan and a large glass of sweet tea on hand for that ride. Her characters are so delightful that you can't help cheer for their happily ever after. Serenity, Hruk, Jagga, and Grodd's story is one of finding your soul mate when you think that your life is over but find out that you are only beginning to live. This book has everything that you could want: comedy, action, drama, conflict, danger and of course hot romance (it is a Lizzy Bequin book after all). This fantastic book is the 3rd book in the Ukkur Mates series and you will be very sorry if you miss this one; as well as the others in this series.

Serenity feels isolated ever since the Ukkur saved her and her fellow humans from the Nith. She doesn't even belong there, so when she makes a couple of stupid judgement errors, she's shocked when a huge ukkur steps in to save her. But then confuses her when he pushes her away. Hruk has been watching Serenity for some time to keep her safe, so when she does run into trouble he's there. He wants her, but if she knew the secret that he's keeping, he knows she wouldn't want anything to do with him. Together along with Jagga and Grodd's help they come find that they complete each other. Gotta say, just as gritty and darkly erotic as the others in the series and I loved it as much if not more! Hits on every one of my needs! Action, adventure and a touching storyline. A must read!

I. Love. This. Word. I mean I don’t want ever want to LIVE there, but I look forward to visiting with every new release in this series. And frankly, I’ve been know to revisit relatively often. And Raw was a great addition. I feel it could also read as a stand alone.

Serenity was a relatable character. She made bad decisions - but really, they were bad because of the outcome. Not because it was the wrong choice. Heck, I can see myself taking some of those chances, if even a chance of the payoff would have come thru. And Hruk. This Ukkur was so sympathetic, heroic and likable! And massive. I enjoyed this added detail into the Ukkur society and learning more about the humans introduced in Meat.

I’m really looking forward to more from Lizzy Bequin and definitely more Ukkurs!

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. The third book in the Ukkur Mates series is about Serenity and the three males that she mates with. She has had horrible things happen to her. She was falsely accused of a crime and then finds out that earth is supplying the Nith with food. The food being the convicted criminals. She is barely saved in time by the Ukkur. Hruk is the first of the three mates that she meets. He saves her and had been watching over her. Then she meets Jagga and Grodd when they help them. They are all what she needs and they need her. There is still danger they face but in the end they continue to protect, care for and discipline their mate. This is a dark rh with danger, drama, roughness, lust and love.

This is the third book in this reverse harem sci-fi series. I love the world the author has created. The nith are evil, lazy gator-like creatures with great technology. The ukkar are large, primal aliens somewhat similar to humans. Humans are sent off-world to nith slaughterhouses-they are meat for the nith. Serenity is human & wants to return to Earth. It's a battle to stay alive on this hostile planet but Serenity manages to find protectors to help her. There is lots of exciting action and danger, and love among ukkars who don't have that word in their language. I was cheering for the ukkars! Hruk, Vagga, and Grodd had very distinct personalities, wonderful brotherhood. Really satisfying story.

Ms. Bequin, you ROCK!! Usually, by the third book in a series, many of the naughty descriptive scenes are repetitive; we all know there are only so many words in a thesaurus that can describe 'the' action. And how everyone meets, their struggles and tribulations never stray too far from the first book in the series. BUT, YOU have blown that ’theory’ out of the freakn’ water by RAW!! I devoured Raw in less than 1.5 hours, didn’t move, scarcely breathed, ignored my sleeping feet and just allowed myself to be immersed!! Then, sadly, I had to wait until later in the day (it was 3 am) as life and work got in my way to re-read my worn copies of Ms. Bequin's first two books, Meat and Feast, cause I didn’t want this world to end!! MORE PLEASE!!!❤️

Serenity and the others were being herded into the room where they would die.
On Earth Serenity had been an internal affairs cop until she was framed and convicted but now she and other prisoners have been sold to the alien Nith all fearing slavery but the truth was much worse they were food. As they at being herded towards the room where the smell of blood was coming from there had been an attack. The Ukkurs rescue the captives and take them with them back to their village. After a night of dreaming of this nightmare Serenity goes for a walk and is attacked by three human males until she is saved by Hruk a big dark Ukkur. A action packed alien romance where communication is a problem.

I honestly cant go past reading this authors books, they are hot, dirty, erotic and just so damed good.
This is Serenity story, she is one of the women that has been freed and is living in the camp with the other women and Ukkurs. However there is one Ukkur that is always watching over her, so when she makes a drastic mistake Hruk is the one to save her. But despite their attraction Hruk is determined not to get to close to Serenity. But on the way home Hruk gets bitten by a nasty creature and its Jagga and Grodd who save him. The three men share Serenity but its a race to get back home and save the rest of the Ukkur.

This is totally a must read, and honest i cant get enough of Lizzys books.

Yes, more from the Ukkur world. I love the development of this world.. The human females that ended up on the planet, the meetings between the FMC and the Ukkur males. The way Lizzy shows the development of the relationship. Serenity is not happy and wants to get back to earth and as a result gets into trouble, but luckily one of the Ukkur was there to come to the rescue. I wish I was more eloquent in explaining how much I like this book and series, but I am reader for a reason

This was seemed a little darker than the last book with Ika, which yes is dark itself. Serenity is one of the women that was saved from the slaughterhouse and living at the ukkur settlement. She hates the planet, understandably, and has terrible nightmares and flashbacks. In the midst of another bad night, she leaves the tent and breaks curfew. This one action sets in motion a string of events that simultaneously hurt her, free her and help her save the settlement.

This series is a guilty pleasure. I normally hate reverse harem romances (multiple men and 1 woman) because I don't believe it can work out in the long run.

With the alien Ukkur, they live in groups of 3 to 4 men so it actually makes sense they would have 1 wife. They are not jealous, they view it as a woman needs all these men to satisfy her. They all take turns.

Each book reads well as a stand alone but they are loosely connected.

by HazelM

This has a good story as well as steam. I really enjoyed it.
Serenity is in big trouble. Sold to the Nith she expects to be a slave but it is so much worse than that. Rescued at the last minute by another alien species, the Ukkur, she is not expecting what happens next. It's so far beyond what she has ever known, beyond even her fantasies. But it feels so right.

This is another great story from Lizzy Bequin. I get caught up in her books and then have to finish reading them. This was no different. There is plenty of action, danger, intrigue, violence, with great steam. A great storyline that has Serenity, Hruk, Jagga, and Grodd as mates. Each male bings a different dynamic to their relationship. I really liked the story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This series grows on you, I think the more of them I read, the more I enjoy the growing base story. This one has a twist that I didn't see coming so the shock factor was that much more intense than the actions that felt realistically possible. The heroine here, Serenity, goes through some extra trauma but still manages to get through it with a little help from her friends. I loved the way her Ukker dudes find commonality and work to defeat the lizard guys.

This book does have dark themes, but you can’t help but get caught up in the story and see beyond the darkness to the love and romance of the storyline. I didn’t think the author could improve the story of the first book, Meat, but you get to revisit characters and see the progression of the ukkur rebellion. Although the story is a standalone, it will be much more enjoyable if you have read the previous books in the series. You can expect to enjoy an action packed story that is filled with steam, has great characters and detailed world building. Great sci-fi romance with dark undertones.
