NASA astronaut Julie Starr knows nothing is earned without blood, sweat, and frizzy hair.
Recently returned from orbit, Jules is on her way to becoming the youngest Flight Commander ever. So she isn't about to let a creepy stalker derail her goals.
Or a chivalrous, wealthy rancher either, for that matter.
Holt West doesn't mess with flirts. And that's exactly what Jules is. He has enough on his plate, working the ranch he inherited from his grandfather while making sure his siblings follow their dreams. He doesn't need to be distracted from his responsibilities by the smart-mouthed, long-legged astronaut clad in leather pants and biker boots.
But when Holt's brother and Jules' best friend decide to get married, they're thrown together as best man and maid of honor. Jules takes the opportunity to hide out from her stalker at the West Ranch under the guise of planning the barnyard wedding of a lifetime. She might not know the difference between tulle and toile, but she’s an astronaut for god's sake. How hard could it be?
Between Jules vying for a record-breaking promotion while outmaneuvering a stalker and Holt fighting a losing battle with his heart, can the two of them get it together long enough to say yes to the ride of their lives?
This book is a cure to my bad selection of books. Miss Hudson have a great sense of humor. And I love the idea that Jules is a space cadet. Smart, confident woman. Although her acting tough is bit too much sometimes.
I want to see more better plot though. The stalker plot is old and boring. The banter between Jules and Holt is funny and sweet. Makes me laugh and smile.
I enjoyed the first book well enough. This one, however, tried too hard to be stereotypical against the stereotype.
She’s a woman demanding not to be treated as a woman while constantly reminding everyone that a woman can do anything a man can do. If you want gender neutrality, then you have to be willing to not remind everyone you’re a woman doing manly shit and therefore don’t need a man. So, yeah, it’s feminism gone all wrong for me.
He’s the non-cusing, manly man, rich cowboy cardboard cutout with the disposition of oatmeal. He’s boring. He’s a wilting pansy dressed up like an alpha rose with thorns. No thorns here… he’s just her sidewalk, and she’s dragging her boots all over his ass while he says harder mam.
The undertone of the 1950s being so atrocious is insulting. It’s just as insulting as saying a “a woman can’t.” She can, and that includes being whatever she chooses to be. Some women actually enjoying being the caretaker, and not everyone has to be in a STEM field or work for NASA to feel useful and whole. It takes all types of women to make the world go round. The holier than thou tone of this book is just as bad as what womens’ rights groups have fought against.
To say I didn’t connect with the characters would be a gross understatement.
By 44%, I haven’t laughed or smiled once.
By 44%, I realize that there’s no real plot here.
Don’t even get me started on the stalker. She contacts NASA over her being saved from a runaway horse like taking help somehow invalidates her woman-card and job, but she keeps something as serious as a stalker to herself? Maybe, the FMC should’ve worried less about looking smart and more about being smart.
By 44%, I could care less if the stalker comes and steals the MMC’s boots and pisses all over the FMC’s bitchy attitude.
Sara L. Hudson you are a RomCom-Sexy-Romance-Writing Queen. I love your wit, your special kind of crazy and your unique writing style. You are a breath of fresh air in the contemporary romance book world. In your latest book “Space Cowgirl: Houston All Systems Go” you’ve managed to make me laugh, educate me on all things NASA and turn me on. Well done you!
Jules is a curly haired, sassy mouthed, sexually open, list making, sexy astronaut. Holt is a tall glass of cute and quirky boxer shorts wearing, blushes like a schoolgirl, sexy cowboy. Seriously they are incredible and together they are fantastic.
Jules is such an incredible heroine, she’s independent and motivated and so very, very funny. I mean, she turns a calf into a pet and names her Cookie, seriously over the top and a prime example of her loving and nurturing nature.
Holt is stoic, responsible to a fault and ever so proper. Everything from his posture and clean mouth (the man does not swear) is a turn on. He loves his siblings more than himself and deserves to have his world rocked.
Together Space Cowgirl Jules and Leave It To Beaver Cowboy Holt are magic. You will absolutely LOVE them. TBR this fantastic book and if you haven’t already read Space Age and Space Junk you need to rectify that right away. (I read an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.)
I had my doubts about this one mostly because our heroine is not like other girls. She's smart, she's an astronaut, and she rides a motorcycle. But then we realize she's not a tough cookie like her image appears and she hates how people think poorly of her just because of her outside persona. They misjudge her and put labels on her like our hero. I'm taking a star off because our hero was a big asshole to her in one scene that really was so mean and he didn't even grovel. The rest of the romance was admirable and cute. Also, I didn't expect the suspense elements in it.
Sara Hudson has done it again with the second book in her Space series, Space Cowgirl. Astronaut Julie Starr, who we met in Space Junk, is back on earth and planning a barn wedding for her best friend. She's also avoiding a creepy stalker, so what better place to hide out than the ranch where the wedding will take place? And who better to hide out with than Holt West, brother of the groom, gentleman cowboy, and general all-around hunk?
Jules and Holt fight their attraction to each other as well as their preconceived ideas of who/what they want in life, as Jules dodges danger that threatens everyone she cares about. And it all happens with Hudson's trademark humor and lots of sexytimes.
The supporting cast from Space Junk is back, and I can't wait to find out which of them will star in the next book in the series.
Sara is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors! She gifted me an ARC of this book, and I read it in less than twenty-four hours! Jules is a hoot! I freaking love her! Her honesty, her boldness, her confidence and tough exterior. But she also has these moments in this story where she's rattled, and seeing that other side to her was great.
These characters, this world of female empowerment that Sara has created, is a phenomenal literary escape and I can't wait for more of the series!
I loved this story. Jules Star is the darling astronaut of NASA but not so good at relationships. Jules leaves town to visit a friend’s family farm after some disturbing texts. Rancher Holt Has been mesmerized by Jules since the first time he saw her. These two will make you smile as they work through a relationship neither ever dreamed would happen.

I just love this series so much. Smart tough incredible women and the men who love them exactly as they are. It’s so damn refreshing. This story had a lot of heart and vulnerability that I especially loved. 5+ stars.
This is another great story by Sara L. Hudson. I've read all of the books in the series and even though they are standalones, they are connected as some of the characters from previous books are also in this one. Getting to check in with previous characters is awesome and their relationships with the couple only add to the story. The characters are well developed and interesting.
NASA astronaut Julie Starr (Jules) recently returned from the ISS with the goal of becoming the youngest Flight Commander ever. She is already on her way to achieving her goal and isn't going to let a stalker or a sexy cowboy rancher get in her way. Holt West is said sexy cowboy rancher and he knows Jules is a flirt and he had too much going on to add her to the mix. He's working his ranch and helping his brother and sister follow their dreams. Holt doesn't need Jules to distract him from what he needs to do.
Unfortunately for Holt and Jules, Holt's brother and Jules' best friend decide to get married which means that they're thrown together as best man and maid of honor.
There are plenty of feels in this story. I did a lot of laughing but there were also times when I wanted to smack one of them upside the head. I would keep Holt though. I love that he blushes! I liked the way the story ended, but I wish there was an epilogue further out. I recommend reading this book.

When NASA astronaut Julie Starr returns home from orbit for a vacation, and to be maid of honour and help plan her bestie’s wedding, she meets the best man of said wedding, Holt West. Holt is attracted to Julie. However, he doesn't mess with flirts. And that's exactly what Jules is. Busy with working the ranch he inherited from his grandfather, and helping his siblings follow their dreams, he also doesn't need any more distractions. And Julie proves to be a big distraction.
I liked both characters and their chemistry. I liked how tough Julie was, she was soo outrageous, crass, and crude when home. Yet so profession at work. It worked well. As for Holt, I liked how gentlemanly he was. He was so dedicated to those he loved. I felt that their opposite personalities work well in this story. The steam levels in this book was def higher than the first!
Julie was outrageous and terribly crude. I loved her!! :D
I love a heroine with zero filter. I also loved how sweet she really was, the wedding planning thing with Jackie hit me in the feels big time. Oh and the calf?? She was just the best actually!!
Holt was also very likable and the whole stick up his ass everywhere but the bedroom is HAWT!!!
This is such an awesome book that I enjoyed reading. The story and character building were off the characters and had me reading into the late hours of the night, I couldn't put it down. It's full of emotion, drama, action, chemistry, steam, hot alpha male, and hot and steamy romance. The chemistry between the characters is amazing and the story line was fantastic, it's a definite must read for any fan and I can't wait to read more form this author!!!

First of all is Julie Starr, badass extrordinaire, the kind of heroine you can really get behind. She is an astronaut who is on track to be the youngest commander in NASA's history. Then you have a tall sexy cowboy who is also an oil magnate. Holt West is an uber responsible eldest sibling with a touch of a cleaning disorder. The intensity of their encounters are both funny and sexy. Sarah Hudson can write the fudge out of a romance story. This series should be on every romance lover's TBR.
Ms. Hudson is an author I buy without hesitation, and in three books I have not been disappointed. The plots are clear and the interactions between the two main characters are sweet and passionate. I hope she plans on books for Trish and Ian , Rose, Emily and Luke, Tanner. While the series can be read in any order, for the most enjoyment I recommend reading them in order.
The storyline in this installment was not even close to as good as Space #1. And, the female narrator, Samantha Brentmoor, slaughtered Holt's voice. - OMG - Holt was the main male character and she did a horrible thing to the voice rendition she used for him. Why didn't she just do the same as Flynn?...Ugh.!. Seriously, it was awful and it ruined the story for me.
I might READ #4 just because I love Rose's character.
The denial of attraction between Holt and Jules is crazy. They both want each other, but are opposites to each other. He's the laid back, polite, gentlemanly easy going cowboy and she's the loud mouth cuss like a sailor take action type of girl. She tucks and run to the ranch when her stalker gets a little too close, where she and Hilt have to plan for Jackie's wedding to Holt's brother while trying to fight their attraction and get to know each other. There fights are funny and I like her spunk at times. Holt is a man that most women fantasize about.

Another awesome story to add to the NASA collection. Jules and Holt have an interesting chemistry where opposites definitely attract. If you haven't read the first 2 books go get them now! Laughter and love- what's better than that?! I'm so pleased I was introduced to this author and now await each new story she'll create (maybe Trish's story next).
Sassy astronaut Julie Starr is not afraid to speak her mind isn't about to let anything/anyone deter her from her goal of becoming the youngest Flight Commander ever.
Holt West is a straight laced cowboy who doesn't like foul language and anything that will distract him from his responsibilities.
Spice level 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶: full, anatomically correct, step by step descriptions of sexual activity are given significant space in the story.
I loved this series and this book is just as amazing as the first two. This time it’s Jules and Holt's turn. I believe a story is only as powerful as its characters and Holt and Jules leap from the page. I love stories where the hero and heroine are immediately drawn to each other but have to overcome their own fears in addition to external obstacles. If you enjoy romances that are humorous, suspenseful and heartfelt, I highly recommend this series.

Sara L Hudson is back at it with her newest novel, Space Cowgirl! I have anxiously awaited this book since I read her debut novel, Space Junk, back in January! Sara writes amazingly funny and smart heroines and Space Cowgirl is no different!
This story follows Julie Starr, also known as NASA's Starr or Jules. She's an astronaut who is expected to become the youngest commander ever. She's smart, beautiful and has a mouth on her that would make your grandma blush! Julie also enjoys keeping her local pizza joint in business. Quite frankly, I believe Julie Starr is my spirit animal ❤️
Julie's love interest is rugged cowboy Holt West. Living on cattle ranch that has been in his family for generations, Holt has a heart of gold and lives by the rules. He rarely swears, which for Julie, comes all too naturally 😂 Holt is honestly one of the sweetest book boyfriends I've had the pleasure of reading about and falling for ❤️
This book has laugh out loud moments, a bit of suspense and all the feels. Julie and West collide like a meteor to earth. Once we have impact, there's no going back. Absolutely loved this book!
Sara has done it again! I'm in love with Jules & Holt. They instantly rub each other the wrong way but it's really insane chemistry & baggage that they need to work through. Five stars!!
This is the story of Jules and Holt. She’s an astronaut with a creep stalking her. Her best friend is getting married and Jules is the maid of honor. She decides to hide out on their ranch only she didn’t bank on the best man Holt. I enjoyed the engaging characters of this fun, sweet romance. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
It was quite the read. It had a little of everything; drama, romance, emotional turmoil and suspense. Neither one seemed to overshadow the other which made for a nice balance. Holt and Jules were hot together even when denying their sexual attraction. I enjoyed the story and the characters.
This is a quick and easy read. The storyline is well-crafted, intriguing, suspenseful, has drama and steam. The characters are defined, and likable with sizzling chemistry. I liked it.
