Rosalyn Dane doesn’t believe werewolves prowl during the full Wolf Moon…but is one hunting her now?

When big game animal handler Rosalyn Dane drives to work at the Dundalow Wildlife Refuge, she discovers that one of her coworkers has been brutally murdered on the park grounds. Now she is forced to work with Detective Brian Lochlan of the Santa Barbara Police Department to find out what happened.

But as the preserve’s most valuable animals keep dying under strange, yet natural circumstances, Rosalyn takes a closer look and discovers that each deadly wound couldn’t have been made by another natural predator.

At least none she has ever encountered before.

Then just before she shares her suspicions with her lethally attractive police detective who has impossibly captured both her trust and her heart, Rosalyn discovers that Brian Lochlan isn’t all he claims to be either and might be hiding a dangerous secret of his own.

Which means Lochlan already knows who the true killer is. And that he wants Rosalyn for an entirely different reason than simple friendship.

ADDISON CARMICHAEL is a Paranormal Romance junkie. Love is a mystical, magical thing to her, and she loves writing and living vicariously through her endless PNR stories. Whether it be alpha male werewolves, fierce dragons, sexy panthers and other shifters, sizzling hot vampires, or illusive sorcerers who will magically make your dreams come true, her imagination is bubbling up several stories after another.

As a literature major, Addison also enjoys weaving classic themes into her books, yet keeping the fun and folklore true to each story and character. While paying strict attention to the tropes of each myth, she also finds unique ways to create new ones in order to make each story as fresh, realistic and plausible as possible.

Addison was born and raised in Southern California and has lived and traveled all over the west coast (and the world). She married the man of her dreams and has two awesome sons, two daughters-of-her-heart, and three grandchildren who are the jewels in her personal crown.

She now lives happily-ever-after with her family (which includes Mollie, her black lab-border collie) in Snohomish, Washington of the U.S. Pacific Northwest.

Assistant Director Rosalyn Dane drives to work at the big game Dundalow Wildlife Sanctuary. Seeing the police there, she asked what happened and is told the body of a co-worker, Parmi Ashna, was found by their security guy, Eldon Drake, slashed to death. She had the staff feed the animals and she went out to see if a fence had been properly repaired by the college guy they hired. But a wolf who joined her growled and she knew a stranger was nearby, maybe the killer? She challenged him and he pulled a gun but neither would back down until he saw her shirt logo and knew she worked here. Introducing himself, Detective Brian Lochlan, Special Investigations Unit, of the Santa Barbara Police Department, would be shadowing Roz daily, per her boss, until he caught the perp. She was not happy about those orders. In return, he offered to help with the animals to get a “feel” for the place.

But when valuable animals begin to die, Roz is suspicious and discovers something odd about the wounds. Would she and Detective Brian figure out who or what was attacking the animals? She is ready to confide in him when it appears he has a secret as well and may know more than he admitted to. Can she continue to trust him? Or does he have nefarious plans of his own?

This is an awesome story line with a mystery that will pull the reader in and keep the suspense going as Roz begins to wonder if her own safety is at risk. Grab your copy and follow the investigation to see who… or what… it may lead to!

Honestly (and I know I say this a lot), this was one of the most fun stories I wrote and lived vicariously through. As an animal lover all of my life, I often thought being a big game wildlife keeper would be my ultimate dream job. And of course I had to put it near the coast of Santa Barbara, California where I love spending my vacations when possible. Add a love story and murder mystery and a lot of shifters into the mix, and boom, you have truly entered my fantasy world. I hope I can transport you there too!

Wolf Moon
This book starts out with a murder and doesn’t let you go until the very end.
Rosalyn Dane works at the Dundalow Wildlife Sanctuary. She arrives at work; no coffee has been made and co-workers and police are surrounding a dead body. Parmi a co-worker was slashed to death on Sanctuary property. Eldon their usually drunk security guard found her dead. A mystery but animals need to be fed and enclosures cleaned.
Roz is the Assistant Director at Dundalow. She loves and cares for all of her animals. The Dundalow Sanctuary is home to many misfit and rescue animals. She is directed to work with a detective from the Special Investigations Unit, Brian Lochlan. Roz reluctantly teams up with Brian. Brian is easy on the eyes and she finds him easy to talk to. Who killed Parmi? Rare and expensive animals are dying. Roz could be in danger. Can she and Brian find out what is plaguing the Sanctuary and targeting some of her favorite animals?
Brian is hiding a secret and introduces her to his large and complicated family. Who are these people? Why does she feel a connection to Brian and these people?
This book has it all with great characters, a couple of mysteries, and sexy romance. I cried when some of the exotic animals died. Roz cares for all of the animals at the Sanctuary and you become fond of them too. This is the second book in the Red Moon Prophecy. It can be read alone but the richness of reading the first books will help you understand how everything is connected. I highly recommend this series!

This is a truly fascinating, action packed paranormal romance that definitely caught my attention within the first few pages & kept it until the end. The well-paced plot is very intriguing with some unusual events and/or unexpected situations that are well-described & there is good world building. The two main characters (Roz) & (Brian) are unique strong-willed individuals that display realistic emotional feelings & react accordingly to them but at times they are distrustful & confrontational towards each other. There secondary characters offer outstanding support.
It is about: a coworker (Parmi Ashna) is murdered at the wildlife refuge where a young female assistant director (Rosalyn Dane aka Roz) works then she is basically forced to work with a Santa Barbara police detective (Brian Lochlan) but problems start to occur when the animals start dying with mysterious wounds.
There is: various kinds of paranormal creatures/beings, drama, intrigue, adventure, action, twists & turns, suspense, secrets, mystery, strange attractions, deceit, betrayal, danger, threats, attacks, conflict, violence, suspicions, distrust, manipulations, devious plans, confrontations, unpleasant surprises, devastating memories, discovery, complications, family issues, disagreements, compromises, determination, love & a well-deserved, satisfying conclusion. I enjoyed reading this shifter romance & would recommend it.

I'm lucky enough to have read this book as an ARC, and yes, I know I'm very, very late in reviewing. Believe me, it wasn't because I disliked the book. If anything I enjoyed this one more than I'd enjoyed Crimson Moon and Hunter's Moon, the first books in this series.

Roslyn? I absolutely loved this character. Brassy, brave, opinionated, and always thinking. Absolutely loved reading about her. And her wolf mate? I can't say enough good things about how the interaction between the two was written. Could it have used a little more work on their relationship, a little more "alone" time between the two of them? Maybe, but overall if it was missing anything, I didn't spot anything major.

The arc of the story was well done. The plot well crafted. I love the way Addison Carmichael writes her stories of shifters. She does it with an eye of relating to us poor humans, and I enjoy reading her books. There's the third in the series coming up too, and I can't wait to read it.

For those of you who might be sitting on the fence and not sure if you want to buy this book, I would say you won't go wrong by purchasing it. I would suggest you start with Crimson Moon, then move onto this book, but I think each book is an effective standalone, which means to a reader that they won't lose the story from one adventure to the next. Hopefully Ms. Carmichael is in her writing cave right now.

Brian, a detective assigned to the murder, of a Zoo employee, by an animal.
Rosalyn, assistant director of the Zoo and wildlife refuge.

They get off to a rough start but can’t seem to stay away from each other, and the pull gets stronger the more they are around each other and the closer they get to uncovering the truth of the death of the employee and the animals falling ill and dying.

Why are the animals falling ill and dying? Why is the pull causing so much havoc on Rasalyn’s mind and sex drive. Was the death of the staff and animals an accident or was there something else going on?

Read in one sitting. I couldn’t walk away.

What more than to see beauty in the sky at night as in a full moon but a wolf moon at that. But murder is afoot and Rosalyn discovers the body on park grounds. Now her and Brian must work together to see who and what and the rest of those pesky w's. Also not just one is dead but also animals are dying which adds to the puzzle we want to help with the answers. They also get their hearts involved but as answers come to the surface things will go awry. Can they come out of this too?
Finding the answers made this a page turner.

Wow and wow. I really enjoyed this story. It is a never ending circle of twists and turns. It is a paranormal romance with several mysteries entwined. Rosalyn and Brian meet at the beginning of the story when he comes to the animal compound and zoo where she works because of a coworkers murder. It appears that one of their wild animals killed the woman and other animals in the park, but not all is as it seems. It is not until the middle of the book that the paranormal element shows up in the story and Rosalyn finds out more about why she grew up as a foster child. Very well written set of circles making me wonder who or what did the killing until the very end of the story.

This book is good to read as a stand alone, but it is much better if you have read the previous books. There is some overlap, but as I said this is a complete story by itself. I loved the characters. The story line was very interesting. I loved the wolves and other critters in the nature preserve. I loved this took and would recommend this book.

Addison Carmichael entertains us with book 3 in her Red Moon Prophesy series, with Wolf Moon.

I LOVED this story, as it shares the sad upbringing of Rosalyn, and her goal of creating a safe haven for the animals in her care. Little does she know that some animals are hiding in plain sight!

This is a romance that proves that love takes hard work-even when there is a mystical family enhancing those around them.

I love this series. You never know what will happen next, or what secret will be revealed.
Rosalyn works at an animal rescue and loves working with the animals. But after a co-worker is murdered, possibly mauled by one of the wild cats at the sanctuary, she meets detective Brian Lochlan, and her life is turned upside down. She learns of supernauturals, her heritage, and that she might be a supernatural also. . I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review

What a great mystery and continuation of this series!

I love Roz and her walls round her sensitive heart.
And I love Brian and his intensity.
And twists and turns that captured me to the end.

I can’t wait to see which direction the next level of the prophecy will take.

This was my favorite book of the series. Brian and Roselyn had to investigate killings but Brian had more than one secret of his own. I think they're my favorite couple of the series. Maybe they'll end up being yours.

Rosalyn works on a game preserve and one of her work colleagues gets brutally killed. A wild animal or could it be more. Then the detective comes along and all the sizzles happen. It’s a good follow on book and this book is about the second sister. Such a fab read.

People and animals were getting killed and the animals bodies were missing. Rosalyn the assistant director for the refuge and Brian the detective were trying to find who did it, plus she met her biological mother. They were finally able to figure out what was happening and why, that was a surprise. Great book and action packed!

I’m definitely a little confused here. I thought I read that there were twins, not triplets so at least that cleared it up in this book. And I noticed in the second book and the third book, like halfway through all of the sudden the main characters love each other and are making these huge declarations even though they just got together the night before. It’s almost like four or five chapters and an extended period of time is missing. I thought it must’ve been a fluke in the second book but I guess not. I actually like the writing and the story or the direction of the stories but those little inconsistencies are driving me crazy.

This deserves a nobel literature award.

I seldom write reviews. However, this one certainly deserves it. Addison is BRILLIANT. This series are amazing, yes, every book in it is better, yes, but this book is just mind blowing. The last chapters held a few surprises that I couldn't see coming and I almost always guess what's going to happen. Not this time not with Addison. A certain 3 legged character made me cry like a kid at the revelation just because of the unexpected surprise. My husband was concerned at my reaction. That's how impressed I was.
