He’s trapped in a dark land, and she’s his only hope of escape.
Locked in a vicious battle with the tyrant king, a spell is cast on Prince Varian of the Summer Court that transports him to a realm of ghastly monsters and unspeakable horrors. There, he is imprisoned by ogres and learns of a powerful witch who may hold the key to his return to Summer Court.
But this magical enchantress is far more than she appears...
After living in the beastly land for ten years, Layla holds no hope of ever returning home—until she hears whispers of the ogres’ fae captive. Desperate to leave the torturous realm behind, she ventures out in hopes of achieving the impossible.
Brought together by their mutual goal of escape, Varian and Layla embark on a race against time to return to Summer Court. Battling their way through treacherous terrain, they find themselves fighting a reignited war and their growing desire for each other. Can they make it back before Varian’s kingdom falls? Or will they have nothing to hold but each other has their world comes crumbling down?
Summer Prince is a standalone steamy paranormal romance with a HEA. Each book in the Wyth Courts series will feature a different couple, with a complete story, and a HEA. Suited for readers 18+ due to language and sex scenes.
While Juliana Haygert dreams of being Wonder Woman, Buffy, or a blood elf shadow priest, she settles for the less exciting—but equally gratifying—life of a wife, mother, and author. She resides in North Carolina and spends her days writing about kick-ass heroines and the heroes who drive them crazy.

Varian and Layla kept me glued to this story! Both are seeking escape and need each other to do just that! Get ready for a thrill because once you pick up this book and enter this world there may not be an escape for you. Really well written and executed perfectly!

I have to admit this was better than I expected. The plot was well thought out and was engaging and entertaining. The story didn’t move to fast but there was enough going on that it kept me glued to the book.
Varian turned out to be a sweetie which I wasn’t expecting. I’m so used to fire being associated with anger and ruthlessness that Varian’s soft demeanor was fantastic. Layla was great too, I loved the false front she put up in the start but was glad she wasn’t just faking her strength she was actually able to pack some power. Though her backstory felt a little over the top, especially with her thinking she was the problem, since there wasn’t really any reason for her to think that way.
The romance aspect was a little ehh for me. While I think Layla and Varian are a cute couple, when the fated mates aspect hit it felt out of place. Up until the moment it hit nothing had been mentioned of mates and the only mentions of any kind of attraction either had towards the other was thinking the other was pretty or handsome. Other than that the build up to the relationship felt non existent and then bam they are mates and he is completely enamored with her and she is hesitant. I did appreciate how gentle and patient he was with her and that there was no misunderstanding trope. I just wish the build up to them falling for each other had been a bit more present so that it didn’t make it feel so out of left field.
I actually enjoyed the plot and the characters separately more then the romance. The steam is very low in this which was actually perfect for me, but if your looking for heavy spice then this isn’t going to satisfy you.
Overall I really liked this, though I have to say I am confused as to why the 3rd book was what was offered in the stuff your kindle day event, that’s why I picked this up and I think that’s just weird, I think offering the first book would have made more sense. I’ll definitely be checking out the rest though.
Summer Prince is a magical read. I loved that characters and the story was filled with action, magical lands, monsters, mates, and love. Varian and Layla work together to leave the realm they are stuck in. The author captured the characters well, defining their strengths and how they support each other to escape while battling their attraction to each other. I'll definitely be looking to read more of this series, especially as they can be read as standalones. This is the third book in the series and while I haven't read the other two books, I will now. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a sweet adventurous romance.

Entertaining and fun! Sweet, steamy romance too! Love adventures through cool magical lands, and interesting creatures! Some good danger and action. Love how supportive Layla and Varian are of each other. Layla is a bit prickly, so things don’t always go smoothly, but when she’s needed, she steps up. Liked her feisty personality. Varian is a total sweetheart. Both are trapped in a less than stellar situation, so they decide to team up to escape. She’s a witch and he’s a Fae, so they each have their own cool magical powers and strengths. A fun read; I look forward to reading more in this series and by this author. I appreciate that this is a standalone too!
Being smaller and faster-paced, this book was a scorching delight in comparison with the previous instalments, but only because I got through it faster. The relationship between the characters left me feeling cold, to be honest, and the plot was full of weird moments where characters go back to the same place they've been before and the author feels the need to explain everything again; a big subplot in a monster universe also sees several xenophobic tropes appear unchecked, less than scorching that.
Would recommend only for the cover, which can at least elicit some self-pleasure and delight. Reading this blazing book probably won't do much for you regardless.
1st off, Thankyou so very much for letting me have an early copy of Summer Prince.... 2nd, WOW!!! 3rd, This story rocked my world, I loved the twists and turns with the fighting and loving going on in this book. Once again, Thanks Juliana. Your an amazing writer & I cannot get enough of your stories ever!!! Bring on Autumn Rebel now!!!
Varian is the sweet one. He’s full of honor and loyalty. Layla has been on her own and has a reputation to upkeep to stay safe. They both are trying to escape this very hostile realm. I imagined everything as orange and brown and dusty and a muddy swamp. This book progresses quickly, but their relationship isn’t full of anxiety like the other two books. It’s full of surviving monsters first, think about their mate bond second. Layla is a strong FMC but she’s not overly aggressive. She’s calm, cool and collected. And we get a hint of a character from the autumn court, which never steps in for anything. And we get to see that Cade and Amber and Ash and Hayley are doing great together.
I simply enjoyed the pace of this book. This would be a great filler book or if you are in a reading rut, i would recommend this book.
Varian was stuck in another realm where he finds his fated mate Layla. She was trapped in that realm for years by some decisions she made to protect and keep close to family. They had to come together so that Varian could get back home. I enjoyed both characters. Neither was weak. Layla had to face whether she deserves love for her past actions, while Varian waits patiently for her to accept him.
This is the story of Varian and Layla. They are each strong people with the best of intentions towards others. There meeting is traumatic and quickly leads to finding out they are fated mates. The story is their joint struggle to survive and finally to overcome the demons of their pasts. There is great character development as well as vivid imagery of the worlds in which they exist.
It was Ok, the characters were interesting, and the world was intriguing. It’s connected to some other books, but it can be read as a standalone, since most of it takes place in a world of its own and the worldbuilding is decent.
June has been popping off and this was a refreshing story to finish off today. Book 3 of this series did not disappoint. Another decent read. Did this wow me? No. But it wasn't terrible to get through. Still a good series to read.
summer prince by Juliana haygert. Varian is the main character who won this book. Yes he finds his soul mate and they go through stages which is expected but he is more like the sunshine while she is the grumpy one
I loved the book. Great storyline and characters. It was my first fictional book. I am not big fan of them but after reading this one I can say I am looking forward to read more books like this. Let's just be honest. When I started this book, after two or three chapters I actually left the idea of reading this book but then I continued I thought I should actually give it a try and also I just kept reading because I didn't want to left it even before reading and also because I didn't want to make author feel any disrespect so I just continued and love, love and only love. Book is Amazing and I am really happy to know that I read it and didn't leave it.
Characters: Okay so Varian is a fae (one of the races) and Layla is a witch. Both of them have their own kind of powers which can help both of them to find their way back to their home. I loved chemistry between Varian and Layla. Varian is handsome fae with brown hair, golden green eyes, tall and muscled and Layla is a beautiful witch much like an angel with fair skin, blonde curls and big blue eyes. Just like Layla said : "Varian was quite handsome and for some inexplicable reason she wanted to kiss him". He was strong and passionate and desperate to get home back to his loving mother. He was kind and good son, a kind prince. Honorable. LAYLA was good hearted, helpful , and beautiful inside - out. She was brave and determined and in some way she was so innocent.
Storyline is simple and easily understood. But I think there could be long part of Varian and Layla bonding. (Like a day ago varian came to this witch's cottage and next day after saving her they are both thinking of living happily together so there could be more you know bonding scenes ). There are many races mentioned in the book like Fae, liches, humans, orges, trolls, etc.
Brought together by their mutual goal of escape, Varian and Layla embark on a race against time to return to Summer Court. Battling their way through treacherous terrain, they find themselves fighting a reignited war and their growing desire for each other. I loved how Layla was there to help Varian and how Varian supported her too. Their plan stretagy was also amazing and how they faced their enemies was quite interesting and brave scene. She’s his only hope of escape. AND, SHE WASN'T GREEDY.
All together "I loved Summer Prince".
"This was our own kind of fairy tale, and I knew we had finally reached the happily ever after."
I blew through a good portion of this story simply because the idea of people traveling through different realms was interesting to me. I would love to see more of these realms!
I sometimes have a hard time with "fated mate" storylines because some writers use it as an excuse to get right to a sex scene and they forget that character growth is still critical to readers buying into any kind of happily ever after. This book has some of that, but not as bad as others.
*Spoilers (sort of)*
Varian and Layla never felt fleshed out enough for me to believe Layla was suddenly ready for love and marriage at the end - ready enough to stick around and see where things went with Varian, sure, but the live and marriage element felt forced.
Overall, I'm curious enough about this world the author has created to want to try another book in the series, so if you want a quick read, this one may fit the bill!

What a good magical adventure! I enjoyed this paranormal fantasy read. The author shows a lot of creativity in this nicely developed story. Varian and Layla, a fae and a witch with their own powers, must work together to escape. This is a fun read that is entertaining, sweet and very steamy.
This was a totally different world that had me engrossed from the very beginning. The chemistry between Varian and Layla is electric and the tension only intensifies with them trying to escape while fighting their attraction. I was hooked.
