Terror in Tempest

With Lord Rimuru away and the threat of an army approaching Tempest one of the darkest moments of the original series is upon us as the peaceful Tempest is surprised and attacked by the very humans their lord has been trying to make peace with. All three of the girls will face their own trials as they try to hold back from killing the unsympathetic humans determined to eliminate them all but when innocents are in danger as well as their own lives how long will the girls will be able to hold out before mercy is no longer an option. In the end both sides will pay a price for the peace Rimuru was hoping to achieve but this series is mostly about these three trouble makers who became friends so perhaps next volume will not be as sad and they will be able to get back to some of their usual antics.

This volume begins at a serious main story plot point that starts in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Vol. 12. USE CAUTION: MAJOR SPOILERS

Phos, Nemu, and Stella confront an armed party of humans who don't want any part of peaceful negotiations. What follows is a brutal, bloody part of Tempest history that is hard to read, even if you know what's going to happen. Phos, Nemu, and Stella have a moment to be really cool, though the awesome fight is dampened by the tragedy. Gobuemon arrives near the end to dispatch the last remaining human and Tempest prepares to greet Lord Rimuru with the terrible news.
