Woah.. ! Gah, okay.. So spoiler-free review? This going to be hard!
Helen Hardt has once again delivered an addictive, all-consuming, riveting and suspenseful read.
I have read this book a couple of times now and there is a reason for that. Unlike her other books in the series, this book had more than two POV's, so I felt to get the full experience of it all I read it twice. I must say, I rather enjoyed it being from multiple POV's, I think that was the perfect ending to what is and what I knew was going to be an amazing series!
the author left us with an ending I did not expect, just when I thought I had it all figured out, that I had most of the answers to the burning question from throughout the series.
Ms Hardt throws me into so many twists and turns in the conclusion to this series.. I am in complete awe of this author and how she had the ability to consume me from book one all the way till the last book.
All I can say without giving anything away is that you need to read this series. The Wolfe family are a force to be wrecked with and their love story through this suspenseful and emotional ride was both addictive and amazing.
I cannot wait to re-visit this once it's out in audiobook!

This book was very hard to read, not because it wasn’t an amazing story but how horrible some people was. It really showed how horrible and disgusting some humans can be to find more power and get more money. There dad was evil himself and the torture he brought to the people around him and those woman he kidnapped to get more money was just unbelievably disgusting and horrible.
The rest of the book aside from that was incredibly interesting, you just had to found out who killed him or if he was really dead. So many questions and so many different answers. It was amazing following his children both find love in their books but in this one everything comes into place. The ending was beautifully written and the book also made me question things after reading is. An fantastic book with a great mystery.

Once again, Helen Hardt nailed it! Im so glad there's going to be a "spin-off" series i hated to see wolfes of manhattan come to an end, especially with plot twist ending! Helen had me stumped thru whole series!

First of all I love how this book is written in Lacey, Rock, Reid,, Roy, Riley and Zee's POV...
This series was very griping from the get go.
The oldest son, Rock was sent away for trying to protect his sister from their father. Years later, Rock is made to return to Manhattan, because his father has been murdered, and every one of the Wolfe siblings are implicated. Even Rock, who hasn't been in Manhattan in over 15 years.
Due to the stipulations in Derek Wolfe's will, Rock now has to run, as CEO, Wolfe Enterprise, next to Reid, the one Wolfe who was beside their father day in day out, learning the "ropes," yet only got the position of COO. Then there's Roy, the recluse, the artist, the quiet one, and finally, there's Riley, the model, the pretty one, the special one, or so Reid and Roy thought, they got beatings, where Riley got trips. But in truth, Riley got far worse than a beating. Then there are all their significant others, all innocent, but got a bad rap, due to now being a Wolfe.
So many twists and turns, ups and downs, you could get whiplash. But that is an injury I'll gladly welcome, just to read these books.
You are going to be so surprised at the outcome of this story. You are not getting any more info, other than reminders of what has already happened. Read Reckoning, to get the rest of the story.
Helen has once again, wrapped this prize up with a pretty bow on top. Thank you for writing, and allowing me to read and review your fabulous creations.

The anticipated conclusion of the Wolfe family has arrived, and my goodness what a stunner of a story. The Wolfes are at the end of their ropes trying to clear their names and find out who killed their father. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Rock and Reid risk it all embarking to unknown territory to bring this chaos to an end. The love they have for their wives means everything to them even knowing they may not return.
The suspense in this story had me on edge throughout. Just when I thought I knew the answers, Helen Hardt blows my theories out of the water. This story was intense and intoxicating all at the same time.

This is book five of the Wolfes of Manhattan Series and we finally find out who killed Derek Wolfe! We also get a sneak peek into the possibility that there could be future storylines coming from this original series - yay!! This book brought all the siblings together to try to figure out how to solve the question of who killed Derek. It was a brilliant blend of clues that all cumulate with a discovery that was even more shocking than the what we - I - expected!! Helen is a genius at twisting the plot so much that even when you think you have it figured out, you don’t!! I love this new world that she’s created and can’t wait for more books to come!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Calling this series and this book addicting is a mild in comparison to what it really is, I think it needs a new word.
Five stars isn’t enough either.
Seriously had me on the edge and I couldn’t stop reading, it’s so good, Helen is a master mind, this story was beyond amazing the suspense was just too much at times, when we thought who the killer was then she threw us of the track then on to another, then back to what we use to think and in the end just mind blown lol.
Thank you so much for this incredible story, I am looking forward to more of the Wolfe’s.

Now we get down to the nitty gritty of the matter. Wtf. This book had me all kinds of turned out. All of this behind greed of money. This whole tale of tragedy is because of the way one man let his greed of money go way about the law and spread that evilness to his first family. Although Mannie and Hoss both needed their assets kick and then some. I don't think Rock did enough damaage. That's just my opinion. The corruptions is this book is unbelievablely rude. I am glad everyone who matter got their HEA. However unsatisfied about Jordan and his girlfriend.

Wow what an incredible ending to an amazingly awesome series ! I loved each book more than the last! Miss Helen Hardt is a master story teller ! I loved how she used ALL CHARACTER PERSPECTIVES ..in the last book! She captures the emotion of each wolf sibling & their spouses ! Loved 🥰 it !!

AHH what a way to end on a high note! This book was fast paced and gripping from the beginning.
I absolutely LOVED Reid. There is way more to him than initially meets the eye. He is intense, alpha and deep down knows what he really wants and needs. While he is definitely a great leader he is also deep down very self conscious and feels undeserving. Does he deserve love? Can he really be the ultimate protector? As he learns some things are just out of your hands.
Zee is an incredible heroine. She has been through so much yet still has such an amazing outlook on life. How can she still trust after all she has endured? She cannot resist Reid. He is everything she wants in a man. Be prepared for MANY twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Let me tell you, I was NOT prepared for the truths that were revealed. I could not turn the pages fast enough to get more answers. You will NOT be disappointed.
This is definitely some of Helen's best work. Do not miss this amazing series.

Reckoning is probably the most exhilarating book of this series. Helen did a fantastic job of keeping us in suspense giving us so much excitement in this book. We finally get what we've been waiting for. Reid and Rock are hot on the trail of finally getting to the bottom of what really happened to Derek Wolfe. Racing against the clock to save both of the women they love. We are pulled into the world again and we cringe, we laugh a little, we gasp in awe and we cry happy tears and some sad or sympathetic tears. Reckoning is the last book of the series and it will take you on a roller coaster of emotions that will leave you with closure but still wanting more.
Helen gives us these characters that we just can't get enough of.
Helen Hardt is absolutely amazing at her craft. She grabs us not only by our imaginations but by our hearts and takes us on Journeys that absolutely take our breath away. We feel it deep in our soul, the words that she pours out onto paper that just captivates us.

Am I surprised that Helen Hardt once again blew me away with an amazing book? No! But am I surprised with the twists she writes that? Omg shocked! What an amazing end to one of (if not my favorite) book series!
*WARNING UNPOPULAR OPINION: I have to say I love that she ended the series here. As much as I love the steel brothers series, I felt that once the stories with the main brother (I believe the first 9 books) she should have ended it. And I’m so glad she didn’t keep this series going! It seems that a though their stories are done, the Wolfe”universe” still have some more stories to share! Which is nice for those who want more from the Wolfe island! But again, thankful it will be it’s own story and not adding to this series!
I also truly loved the extra POVs we got in this book. Usually we get two POVs in one of Helen Hardt’s book. This ending book had a lot to unpack and I’m so happy to have all the characters around! I truly loved it!!

The ending of the Wolfes
Helen Hardt knows how to keep you at the edge of your seat the entire time. No matter what she writes.... her series about the Wolfes is no different.
Reckoning had me always watching the percentage at the bottom of my screen, because well frankly I didn't ever want it to end. Sure I wanted to know the truth behind the mystery that plagues all of the Wolfes... but in reality...I wanted more from each couple. I wasn't as surprised as I thought I would be considering what happened in the prior books, but she still got me. I'd love to hear what happens next with the island and everyone that is there or involved.
Hands down a great book. And well written. I honestly thought I would only be reading Reid and Zee's perspective, so keep that in mind when you're reading. Pay attention to who's life or head you're in.

Dragged out and Disappointing.
This series started with not enough character development but an interesting plot. The writing progressively got better as far as getting to know the characters, however, the plot started to slip away. The story grew increasingly more and more complicated and not in a good way. Too many plot points and back and forths. While the other books I found myself not wanting to put them down this one I found myself to finish it. It was a headache. Everyone is a victim and no one is responsible. Udder nonsense. Not to mention all of the plot holes. If I could go back and not read this series I would as any enjoyment was tainted by this horrible ending. I was able to look past how unrealistic it was for all the siblings to fall in love and get married in a week but this book really took things to a whole nother level.

This 5 book series is very frustrating. I enjoyed the first book about Rock which introduced the mystery surrounding his father's murder. The remaining 4 books develop this mystery, adding pivotal characters and filling in the back story of the 4 Wolfe siblings. This is all fine. BUT...at the end of book 5 "Reckoning" the murder is never explained. Instead the author is lazy and offers 2 suspects, saying they'd never know exactly who killed Derek Wolfe. This is a cheap cop-out that no admirable author would risk. Also a list of corrupt and criminal public figures are presented, but none of them are held accountable for their egregious crimes. And of the many characters guilty of some level of crime, only 2-3 face any justice. The ending is so disappointing that it overshadows the entire series. Don't waste your time on these books.

I thought this day would never come, and yet you truly packed it in, in this novel!
Yeah for Tried and Zee! But yeah, for all the Wolfe's, they finally got their figurative payday,and payback!
The irony did not escape me, it was saddening, as well as somewhat a relief the way it all played out!
As usual, you simply cannot write a series or a novel I do not want to read, ( regardless of what my cc states), your writing is stellar, it completely draws you into the storyline, you make us feel were there, quite amazing!
Now, WHAT ABOUT Jordan and Fiona... Seriously while I felt some relief, Jordan kept his word, but he is a Wolfe? Sooooo ... ?????

Reckoning is the final book in the Wolfes of Manhattan series. It is every bit as intriguing and suspenseful as the first four were. Helen Hardt cont8n6es to throw curve balls and misdirect her readers as the quest to find Derek Wolfe's killer comes to an end. There are definitely some "darn, I didn’t see that one coming" moments. Reid and Rock combine force to get to the bottom of things after determining that they really can't trust anyone but family. Rock is adamant that he will prove Lacey's innocence. For her part Lacey gets a surprise piece of evidence that will go a long way towards exonerating her. Unexpected sources provide the missing pieces to the unbelievably disgusting life of the Derek Wolfe puzzle. What a fantastic finale.

Starts with with lots of emotions, intensity, and of course it had me completely from the beginning, I knew this one would have all my curious questions answered. Hmm well it still had me on pins and needles. Reid,Lacey, Zee,and Rock as we know they need to get to the truth and get them of the suspect list, they work together, to clear their names. Even if one of them died.
Helen Hardt's is truly one of the most invested in her master pieces 🙌❤.
I must confess that all of Helen Hardt's books are addictive, they leave you wanting more more. I don't know how she keeps coming up with these plots,but trust me when I say you will not be sorry with any of her masterpieces.

We finally know…
This review is just my opinion. This book was eh….all the buildup just kind of left me deflated with how it all worked out. It just seemed that it had to be wrapped up and was rushed. Everything unfurling was just jumbled and words were added to a story that probably should have been concluded in the last book. Even the “sexy” time was weird. You go to rescue your wife and you just have to have to do that right there instead of running out of a horrible place that your wife was held captive in?
I hate to even write this but it was just not what I had hoped for. I’m glad we got to see everyone’s story come to an end but it was just eh..to me.

I just love the Wolfe Family!
This story had a different feel because it was mainly about two couples in the Wolfe Family; the primary being Reid & Zee, and the secondary being Rock & Lacey. Thirdly, the whole family was included. What a wrap-up to a series. The mystery is finally solved!! They go through a lot to finally get to the bottom of it all. Looking to the immediate future, it looks very promising and happy. Reid and Zee have steam. I loved this whole series. I am in awe of all your books, Helen Hardt. Looking forward to more, always.

Wow. Did not expect Jordan in the mix and setting up everyone. Once I knew Lauren was involved as Declan’s first legal wife, There had to be a big twist. Never thought Treasure Island had so many secrets.
It was obvious that Lacy and the Wolfe brothers would not be charged in their father’s death. At least the horrendous, disgusting things Declan did, were turned around for good.
Looking forward to see where the spin off series will lead.
At least all the Wolfe boys found wonderful wives that made them a better all around person

If I'm being honest, I wasn't expecting this book to be good. All I was hoping for was a wrap up of this insane plot with a bunch of spicy scenes. And while we did get an ok ending, there was only one spicy scene which left me a little disappointed. It's not like I was reading these books for the plot.
This series wasn't amazing or outstanding and tbh I don't really recommend it but it was the series that really got me back into reading again after a few years of not reading so much so it will always have a special place in my heart.
