Demons aren't supposed to be allies, let alone lovers, but here I am. Know that expression to hell and back? Been there, done that, just to save one of them. Sure, it was terrifying, but it beats meeting the in-laws. Aaron, my half-angel boyfriend, is just dying to take me home to dear old mom and dad, but I'm worried about walking into their home trailing brimstone.
Meanwhile, in the struggle to avert the apocalypse, Lucifer himself has taken an interest in me and graces my pizza parlor to give me a warning. I'm in danger from his rival, Mammon, who is trying to take over hell, but that's old hat for me. Exorcism doesn't make you the friend of demons, but I never expected to end up on the angelic hit list, too. Good times.
When my men find out, they're never going to let me out of their sight. I'll have to talk my way out of their protective bubble. With my hellhound and nightstallion to protect me, I should be safe, and the pizza parlor is warded against heaven and hell. Surely, I can go to work alone.
Or maybe not.
This book is intended for mature audiences. 18+ readers only! It contains language and sexual situations. This is a medium burn reverse harem where the girl gets all the guys. Why Choose? Harem members added as series progresses.
Dakota has two passions in life: writing and cinnamon tea. Tea so strong she ought to be able to see her future when she drinks it, and the writing? Well she hopes it makes you see stars when you read it. She creates reverse harem romance novels filled with things that go bump in the night. That handsome werewolf walking down the street? The suave vampire you’re just dying to get a taste of? You’ll find them enraptured by charming, smart ladies ready to make those bad boys work for their affection. When not writing, Dakota can be found on the back of a horse out on the trail or tending the animals on her farm.
I loved this one ever more then the last book. It was amazing. So many twist and turns with a lot of magic. I love the way this one ended and I need to read the next book.
3.5-3.75⭐️’s - See previous book’s in this series for my opinion….
The TLDR; the overuse of “mate” makes me want to bang my face on concrete. The series would have been a favorite if the overused “mate” was eliminated… but sadly, I am being an asshole about it and I don’t give a crap if I’m being childish over something so mundane…. So it’s a lose-lose type of scenario. All said, I still rated this highly, all things considered…. And I plan to finish the series…. So that’s something, right?
3.5 stars. I liked the group when they’re together and when the guys are trying to keep each other in line. The horsemen popping up continuously are great. Chris getting Kidnapped so she could collect another guy, was a little boring. I don’t mind Brennan and I suppose there had to be a fey in the harem somewhere. I’ll read the next one because Ezra and Mal going at it was fun and so was Lucifer playing customer service. I’m just hoping its not going to be solo journeys all the time.

The "mate"s are still so annoying. I like all the guys but I wish they would all be in the same place now not on separate journeys so that they can get settled into their relationships now.
First of I’d like to say that I love the fact that Aaron was a virgin! It’s hard to find a series with male virgins so when he mentioned that, I was ecstatic. My favorite trope ever is male virgin(s) in the harem lol
So we might have a 5th harem member? That’s the way it is looking and I’m not mad at all! Wondering if he might just be a virgin too since he doesn’t like to be touched and he had such a tough childhood.
I hope we get more interactions with Lucifer, I like this version of him. Price and him going back and forth is quite funny. Love that she gives no shit to who she’s talking to and will even sass the devil himself lol
I hope Nikki dies painfully in the next book, tired of her and her unnecessary self gloating. This Elsa seems like she’s going to be a real pain as well
Welp, on to the next book I go!

4.7 stars. I’m really enjoying the pace that the author’s set in this series. They don’t stray too far from it. Things just keep going. I cannot tell you how appreciated that is. New problems just continually pop up. Or new scary men interested in Chris. It’s very entertaining. Plus we got more sex in this book. We finally made things happen with the inexperienced one of the group. There might be a new add on to the harem. Things are happening, and I’m so here for it.
I’m so interested to see who all is in Chris’ harem by the end of the series. And how they all interact with their differing powers and paranormal bloodlines.
I’m loving where this is going. I’m just really hoping it doesn’t flop at the end.
What a brutal cliffhanger, the first 2 books where pretty clean cuts, but this one not so much! Way to keep the story extremely interesting. And I was planning on taking a break from reading the next one and just spice it up a little with another genre book, this ending is keeping me in Chris her world.
The mate thing still annoying but ey we all have some irritating qualities. Here's to book 4
Dakota Brown has completely knocked this book out of the park! Once again we get that snark and sass I have come to love from Chris as she navigates a crazy supernatural world out to get her. This book holds nothing back in the action department! It’s full of crazy rides that Chris and her men must go through to put a stop to Mammon and his evil antics.
There is certainly no lack of chemistry between Chris and her men! The steam is a 5/5 and the trust and devotion they have for one another makes it that much stronger. I absolutely adore their connection with one another. There are so many new twists and turns you’ll never see coming! And as I read I was completely enthralled waiting to see what would happen next. I genuinely cannot wait to see what happens next!
Our girl is busssssssy! Battling b•tches, dining with the devil, snagging the virginity of an angel, "vacationing" in Fairy with a mage (plllllease let her keep Brennan...poor dude needs a home, don't give him away!), steaming up the windows and ruining her panties...the whole niiine kinda busy.
I'm excited to see how that d•ckbag Mammon gets ended and looking forward to a shiny wrapped, glitter infused HEA for Price and her men when the time comes.
Chris handled Lott and saved Sabian. Now it's time to meet the parents. Gotta love Aaron for how he let's his parents know about everything. Unfortunately Chris and the guys have angles and demons coming after them now. Chris has fond some friends in the 4 horsemen. Lucifer likes her pizza and is sporting the jacket like a boss. Chris get taken and everyone loses it. Brennan is quite unexpected I tell you but only Chris be able to pull him to her. I can't wait to see were that goes. Suck in the fea realm should be interesting.
Wow! Fabulous characters. Wonderful.storyline love this whole series, was hooked from Book one!!! Dakota Brown has created a fantastic world surrounded by the supernatural. Chris has an awesome way of collecting powerful men. I am excited to see whom else she will draw into her harem!!! So.excited for book four. The price of souls!!!!
So, just finished book 3. Thoughts are running. First, I didn't know that the series isn't final now. That doesn't make me happy. But, unfortunately, it wasn't clearly visible. So, I have to deal with it.
My opinion to the plot/story at that point. Solid, again. It gets 4 stars. Even, if the first half of the book wasn't that interesting to me. I liked the scene with Lucifer as customer service. And the visit to Aaron's parents. It wasn't that funny. But I like the interaction. And I still hated Chris overly using of the word "mate" in every damned sentence. I wished the author would tone it down.
But back to the story. The rest of the story got more action. Unexpected zombie movement. For me, it doesn't fit in. It doesn't make sense. Maybe because I don't know what it is all about. We still know as much as in book 2 at that point. Angels are involved. And Mammon is working with them and wants to rule over hell.
The villains all feel very one dimensional. It's all the same. I know I started reading this series, because I have read a more heavy feeling one before, and needed something light and uncomplicated. Something fast-reading. But I still expect a little more from a book. Still, it was okay. Don't get me wrong. Nothing is always perfect. Not even my favorite books are.
But I digress again. Seems that Chris is gaining a new harem member. Brennan. That was somewhat unexpected. But let's see how this is working out. The fae world was interesting, too. I wished that we get to know more about that. Like the society and all that.
So, I hope book 4 isn't that far away. I normally read only finished series. Longer intervals between two books always means, for me, that I loose a huge deal of impressions and feelings of the story. And I'm not good at waiting for something. I'm more the "one run and be done" type of person. I prefer to read a series in one go. But as it is, I can't change that now. But at least - regarding the release intervals of Dakota Browns previous books - I may not have to be waiting that long for the next one.
Hopefully the last. Again, don't get me wrong. I like this series. Not perfect. As I said. And not my favorite by any means. But I just want to know the end and be finish. And don't want to wait for another book. :)
This series has taken another turn I have not seen coming. I’m enjoying the different aspects and curveballs the author is throwing at us.
How much would that suck to meet the parents and while they already dislike you, throw in some demons trying to attack and then go out to dinner to have a demon rip out their soul? Yeah, totally not getting “sons girlfriend of the year” or anything…
When Chris is attacked and eventually ends up with the Faye. That was a blindside. This new helper she has. Friends? More that friends? I’m curious to see how that goes.
Ahhhh. I’m totally rooting for Chris, but the odds are stacked. I can’t wait to find out what the next crazy turn will be.
I have so many theories about how she got put under this new spell too, but I am willing to wait it out for book 4 till I can verify! Lol. Pssssshhhhhhh
*Overall 4/5 *Heat? 3/5 {wish we had so much more} *First person POV
Chris still says “Mate” way too much and it takes the intimacy away from her romantic relationships. The beginning was really slow and had a lot of unnecessary dialogue. Most of it was reminders to the reader about what has already happened. I think if that’s going to be a thing it should just be compiled into a prologue at the beginning of each book. That’s just my opinion though. I do feel like this story could have fit into three books instead of five if the unnecessary internal dialogue was removed. The second half of this one did pick up so that was nice.
So, it's a nice, fast read. It's enjoyable and not too annoying (although it does have its skimmable parts, I admit).
For me, it goes into the pizza-book category. You know, those things that are fun while they last, but once they're done, you can't distinguish one from the other.
So, hmm. I'd recommend it if you want smth very fast-paced (although I admit, I skipped the sex scenes) and fun, not too deep or complex.
It seems we are still collecting harem members 🤔. We went to Underhill in this vs Hell that we visited in the previous book. The book was also very short. So we have two demons, a vampire, a Nephilim and possibly a half-fae in the harem. All we are missing is a actual shapeshifter (coz I don’t count Sabian as one) for us to have a whole menagerie of different beings that frequent paranormal books in this poly relationship. On to the next one!
Dakota Brown is one of the few authors I've found that every time a new book comes out I reread the whole series from book 1 to the latest ones. She has great charecters and interactions, and tells a good story that wraps up all the loose ends. Even the cliffhanger is more like a gift wrapped promise for the next book.
I can smell the pizza. The hints of brimstone and cinnamon mixed with a light touch of something like dark chocolate and hot peppers. A nearly not there note of marshmallow... Yep there's only one answer. This series just keeps serving up the yummy morsels and I want S'more of it!
I'm just glad I found an author that does this genre so well. You'll love this heroine. Pizza parlor owner/operator and exorcist extraordinaire . She is a little snarky sassy smart and confidant. I'm not sure how old she is but she doesn't make me feel old. Though I am to most. Take a step into the author's world and I'm sure you'll love it.
I love this series. Keeps getting better with each book. Price and her men are back at saving the world from the demons. Lucifer comes for a visit to warn Price. Price goes with Aaron to meet his parents. Then the rest of her guys go with them to dinner. Something happens and Price is taken. Can Mal and the rest of the guys find Price before it’s to late? Read the book to find out.
Oh, boy does Chris find herself in true trouble in this book. I will definitely say this book leaves you with Chris still in perilous times and will have you anxiously wanting to pick up book four immediately! Chris gains a truly I likely ally in this book. Again I would highly recommend the audio companion.
This series is 100% one of a kind even with the supernatural series vibe, some very classic movie quotes and the famous characters from heaven and hell. Each book just gets better and better and an adventure of sorts. Absolutely brilliant binge worthy series.
This was so good. I felt like this just flew by and was surprised it ended so quickly. I love these characters and am surprised with the turn of events with Brennon-I love it though! Keep adding, Price! Overall it was another fun installment and I can’t wait for the next one! The narrators are fantastic once again. 4.5⭐️ 1🌶
As always, a throughly enjoyable book. This one was a little more subdued than the past two but there is plenty to keep the story moving forward. Really looking forward to book four!
Poor Chris Price cant a girl just get some peace and quiet with her harem lol. Love the story and the characters wish the book was longer and didnt end on such a cliff hanger but I'll be looking forward to the next installment.
Things just keep getting worse for Chris and her guys. Everyone is suspect and I did not expect it to take the turns it did, I'm ready for them to solve the apocalypse problems and settle down to pizza.
I am enjoying this series and am looking forward to the next one when it comes out. I can not wait to find out who the demons are working with and how this will all resolve.
Chris is stuck in a different plain and it doesn’t look good, it all comes down to her men being able to pull off a good heist! Will they succeed? Won’t know until the next book!
Well i have to say the books just keep getting better and i realy like our newest Family member a tortured soul that will need lots of tlc and i am realy looking forward to how this will all play out. I dont want to spoil anything so thats all i'll say.
