I rated this one a bit lower because a big chunk of this volume was taken up by a depressing coworker story that really had nothing to do with the main characters. I guess it was there to emphasize the difficulty of marriage? Maybe? At any rate, it didn’t have enough nuance to be effective. Meanwhile, our protagonists seem to be backsliding —or are they? Get ready for the most awkward confession ever.
3.5 Stars. Ever so slowly the story is picking up steam. While not my favorite this series certainly has something that keeps me coming back every once in a while. The introduction of Nao was a changeup I think was needed and got us to a cliffhanger that's long been awaited, the (hopefully) ensuing first date. I wonder where book four will take us.

*3.5. Favorite volume so far but the ending really annoyed me. Was surprised to see they told his family the truth so early in which was a nice surprise. I liked the relationship progression but then the miscommunication was annoying especially with them being grown adults. The subplot with the college getting divorced was interesting but maybe if more had been highlighted it would have been more interesting. Overall curious to see where the next volume goes especially with the confession at the end.
this was such a frustrating volume...if they would just TALK TO EACH OTHER!!! they have a sweet moment when back at takuya's family's place, but then they take 5000 STEPS BACKWARDS. the volume ends with rika saying a half-assed confession/outburst that leads to takuya asking her on a date, but then they literally sit there frozen for minutes in silence and then the volume ends. like WHAT!!!! augh...I am not sure I can take another volume of this.

This time they come clean to his family. Explaining they aren't getting married. She faints, and then a old friend from his childhood pops up and comes to live in the city after. Overall a very fun volume, the stuff with the co-worker wasn't as entertaining though the ending zinger was sad and well done.
Overall another solid volume, closer to a 3.5 but I'll bump it to a 4 cause I like these characters a lot.
This volume *almost* almost landed, but both Rika’s ten minute pause and the cliffhanger left a slightly bitter taste after I finished it. The series has great ideas, and I can let some things go, so we’ll see what happens in the next episode!
Love the new character Nao, wasn’t particularly interested in the coworker divorce subplot, had mixed feelings about the whole family visit part. Still love these characters, but this felt like a bit of a filler volume.
I am still enjoying this story but I am frustrated by the lack of communication and baffled by the confession to Oohara's family. It seemed like an illogical plot choice, but we'll see how it goes!
3.5 star rating; This volume was pretty cute since it involved a lot of Takuya’s family and some fun interactions involving him and Honjouji. It was also interesting meeting Takuya’s friend and neighbor, and I’m eager to see more of her in future volumes. I’m very curious going into this next volume since things ended on a pretty awkward yet sweet cliffhanger while Honjouji was drunk.
