Wrong, Wright #2

Wrong Room, Wright Girl

Rate this book
The wedding of the year just made his night.

I’m not the guy who gets the girl. Never have been. Never will be. So when I’m one part of a bridal party filled with a bunch of guys who look like they belong on the cover of Men’s Health—not to mention the groom is the current ‘sexiest man alive’—I feel like the before shot. I feel like I stick out like a sore thumb. I feel like the husky sidekick.

And I also can’t breathe from sucking my stomach in so hard.

But when the tiny red-headed maid of honor blushes every time we make eye contact, I have to wonder—after making sure she’s not looking at the guy behind me—does the big guy, the funny friend, the guy with a great personality actually have a chance?

Do I even have the courage to take that chance?

When our hotel room keys get swapped and she lets herself into my room, fate might just make that decision for me.

Maybe I’m not the sidekick in this story after all. Maybe I’m the Hero…

As with all Megan Wade books, this full length husky man romance comes with her Sugar Promise. High heat, low drama, guaranteed.

Tiny's Cockpot

The humor throughout this book is one of the things I most love. A good portion comes from the secondary characters, but they don't steal the show from what Tahlia and Ash are trying to build. Having a thousand miles between them does cause a few hiccups, but I really like when they come together.

Tahlia Adams: “That’s a glorious piece you’ve got there.” It takes both hands to fully encircle it as I stroke it, testing the weight of it.

Ash Wright: “Thank you. I grew it myself.”

😂🍆😂

Theo and Darren set the stage for... certain size matters... in a hilarious way. To say that Ash grows giant eggplants might be an understatement. I appreciate that there's an honesty about him when the opportunity comes for him to share his wares and the care he takes before, during, and after. It's incredibly steamy with a whole lotta sugar.

This series can be read out of order, but there are spoilers for the earlier book(s) if you do that. I accidentally did that, and I'll now be heading to the beginning. Oops....

Ugh... so much story about literally nothing...
I felt like I was watching dragon ball-z with all the filler episodes...

But, I wanted to finishing reading it. I do love me an older man younger woman trope and this one had a bulky guy to boot!

I really did enjoy the characters but found myself wanting to skip over paragraphs just so I could see them in the same room together.

Can they bridge the miles and make a future together?

Wrong Room, Wright Man is the second book in the Wrong, Wright series. This is a sweet and charming story about Ash and Tahlia. They meet at the wedding of Ruby and Tanner, their story is Wrong Car, Wright Guy. Ash is Tanner's cousin and is a groomsman. Tahlia is best friends with Ruby and is the maid of honor. There is an instant attraction between them that even causes Ash to drool a little. He can dream but he will not touch as he knows this little redheaded doll is out of his league. So he is surprised when Tahlia lets him know that she is attracted to him also. But there is distance between them not only in age but in miles. Ash is in his forties and Tahlia is in her mid-twenties. Plus Ash works as a medical engineer and lives in Atlanta. While Tahlia is a writer who lives in Newark. I loved the fact that Tahlia has always had a really bad streak of boyfriends but yet she finally finds and wants the nicest, sweetest and gentlest man who will cherish her the way she should be. But can they make a long distance relationship work?
This is a lovely and enjoyable story. The characters are nicely developed and have a wonderful connection. There is humor, drama, romance, longing, love and of course some sizzle and spark.

I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Long-Distance Relationship to Marriage!

Long-Distance Relationship to Marriage! This is the second book of this series and I love it. This is about Tahlia and Ash. In the first book, we met Tahlia, as she was drinking away the fact that her boyfriend had dumped her. Her BFF, Ruby thought that the car sitting by the building was his and drew something special on it, but once finished the real owner, Tanner came out and they ended up falling in love and getting married – of course, a lot of craziness happened in-between all that. This book is hilarious; the characters are to die for as there is a little of everything.

The story starts at the wedding of Tanner and Ruby where Ash, who is Tanner’s cousin, meets Tahlia and instantly falls in love. Tahlia wants a real man and not a kid or someone around her age, so when she meets Ash things take off when she realizes that he is older than he seems. Ash is cursed with a baby face and a baby’s elephant trunk but is tired of being alone especially as he is in his 40’s. Tahlia is tiny compared to him, but they make it work! She finally meets a Wright that is not a jerk or wealthy and she loves him! Think opposites attract as this is what you get with Ash and Tahlia, but the way they come off to their friends and family is priceless… especially she meets her future mother-in-law. Now who is next – could it be Ash’s little sister and Darren’s cousin?????

The second novel in Megan Wade's Wrong, Wright series is Tahlia and Ash's story, Wrong Room, Wright Girl. I absolutely loved this book, maybe even more than Tanner and Ruby's story in the first of the series. We got to know Tahlia in the first book (but you can read this as a standalone) - enough to know that her taste in men has been horrible. When she locks eyes with Tanner's cousin, Ash, at Tanner and Ruby's wedding, she immediately lumps him into the same category of wealthy jerks - until they speak, and then she is instantly smitten. Ash is one of the most authentic book boyfriend's I have ever encountered - a huge guy physically, he carries insecurities that are only magnified by being cousins with a guy literally voted "sexiest man". He is instantly attracted to Tahlia - but the petite beauty is much younger than him, they live in different cities... But neither can deny the incredible chemistry between them and that what exists is more than just a flirtation.

This is a sweet, sexy novel with awesome characters (this can be read as a standalone, but you will want to get to know the amazing supporting cast that was introduced in the first book). Darren and Theo made me love them all over again, and it was great to revisit Tanner and Ruby. But Ash has stolen my heart - Tahlia is incredibly lucky ;)

Another brilliant read in this series. Tahlia has never been lucky in love, always picking the wrong type of men. She meets Ash at her best friends wedding and is instantly attracted to him, but when Ash doesn’t make a move on her she thinks he isn’t interested in her. After drinking too much Tahlia’s friends take her to her room but when she mistakenly lifted the wrong phone and room key, she ends up in the same room as Ash. When Tahlia wakens up the next morning she can’t believe she is in Ash’s room however she soon realises that Ash is attracted to her, just before he dashes out of the room for the airport. A few weeks later Tahlia meets Ash again and the chemistry between them is just sizzling, very quickly they know they want more but with both living in different cities they decide to do long distance. Neither of them realised how hard it would be being apart, Tahlia really struggles every time Ash leaves and she isn’t sure if she can continue a relationship like this, and with Ash prepared to move to New York to be with Tahlia but not being able to find work neither are sure where that leaves their relationship. A brilliant read with lots of laughs. Really easy to read, great storyline and fantastic characters.

Ash is a sweet, shy guy and Tahlia loves him just the way he is. This standalone story brings back all our favorite characters from "Wrong Car, Wright Guy". Tanner and Ruby's wedding takes place at the beginning of this story and that is where Tahlia, Ruby's best friend, and Ash, Tanner's cousin, meet. They fall for each other but have to deal with a long distance romance.

Both Ash and Tahlia were very likable characters and you can't help but root for their HEA. Ash was the consummate gentleman that took Tahlia's wants, needs, and happiness very seriously. Tahlia is a great friend to Ruby and their small circle of friends. In turn, her friends want her to be happy and help her out with Ash. I loved Ash's vulnerability and shyness (the reason Tahlia's friends felt the need to step in and help). There was a lot of friendship, love, and humor weaved into this story.

I really loved this second addition to this lighthearted, steamy series. All the characters were likable and their behavior realistic. The conflict and the resolution were believable. Highly recommend this five star, well written, story.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with!
By the time you’ve figured out who is who, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter!
This is book two of the Wrong, Wright series it appears each book will read as a standalone however, why just read one when you can start at the beginning and keep reading through the series it won’t be a waste of time. These two meet at the wedding of Tanner and Ruby. Ash is Tanner’s cousin sexy, great personality, sweet and a little lonely haven’t found the right girl yet. Tahlia is sweet, but tired of dating boys who one only one thing and it isn’t something lasting. The moment the two of them meet the chemistry is instant and intense, the magnetic pull can’t be ignored but Ash has a few issues with the body given to him that he has to over come will Tahlia accept him as he is, can she convince him of that and can they find happiness?

Ash Wright is not the man of most women's dreams. He is bigger and huskier. He is the best man at a wedding where the other men look like male models. He knows that he won't find a woman who will want to be with him. Then he runs into the maid of honor Tahlia and sparks fly. The two have a great time at the reception but when Tahlia makes a move on him, Ash chickens out. He is afraid that it is wedding dreams and alcohol that is making her want him. Instead he offers to take her out when he comes to the Christening the next month. Ash then takes a walk and goes back to his room. To his surprise, he finds Tahlia sleeping on his bed.

Tahlia is very drawn to Ash and wants to spend time with him but she is disappointed when he won't go further at the wedding. She is very confused when she wakes up in a motel room with him. When she hears about the key mix-up, she is more understanding and decides she might want to reward him for good behavior. To her disapoointment, Ash has an early flight so nothing happens. She is opened to meeting Ash again even if it is a long distance relationship.

HEA
Standalone, interconnected characters

*over 18 readers only*

Trigger warnings
Toxic family
LGBTQ+ side characters (get over it)

Tahlia (25, mfc)
Ash (42, mmc)
Ruby (best friend)

Ruby keyed something very...explicit on an extremely expensive car, in defense of Tahlia who was dating a PoS. Seems most of the men she dates are bad, because the next one uses her to cause problems for Ruby and her man. They sort their stuff out, and Tahlia ends up being in the bridal party where she meets Ash. Ash is the shy, self-conscious cousin of the groom, lives out of state and was written out of the family for not working in the family business. They hit it off, but their signals get crossed. He goes back to his room alone, only to wake up to her in the bed with him. Once they work that out, it's all good except he still lives out of state. Will they survive the long distance thing? Who will move where?

Most of MW's books are about girls with v- cards meeting their happy forever. This one is different, but still just as great. The sugar promise hasn't been broken yet in the ones I've read.

Another amazing book by an amazing author that you’ll just get sucked into the story. I started this book last night and next thing I know it’s 2 am and I have to be up for work soon. It was that good. Tahlia is Ruby’s best friend and she’s apart of the bridal party. Ash is Tanners cousin and basically the only Wright family member he still talks to. Ash thinks he’ll never find the one at 42 but as soon as he sent a his eyes on Tahlia it’s game over. These two have a connection and chemistry like non other and mistakenly getting into his room after the wedding was priceless. Things get tricky when they want to be boyfriend and girlfriend but he lives in Atlanta and she lives in New York. They make long distance work but it’s so hard to be away from one another. Thinking he can move there and it doesn’t work out bums him out but when she tries to move there and it works out amazing it’s like the heavens were aligned. Definitely a book you’re not going to want to miss out on!

Tahlia gets her story in the second book of the Wright family series. This picks up with the wedding of her best friend Ruby to Tanner Wright. Ash is Tanner’s cousin and both walked away from the Wright family business of Wright Media. Ash is a mechanical engineer in Chicago and came to NY for the wedding. He is very big all over (tall and broad shouldered and husky)and has a baby face that causes him to not get taken seriously because they don’t believe he’s in his early 40’s. Tahlia is beautiful with red hair fair skin and petite. The two hit it off instantly at the wedding but Ash pulls away because he’s afraid he will hurt her with his large size plus the fact they live hundreds of miles apart. Thalia proceeds to drink the rest of the night and due to mixing up their phones and room keys ends up in Ash’s room at the end of the wedding. This has a lot of funny moments and banter and watching these two try to figure out long distance keeps you laughing.

This is the story of Ash, another member of the Wright family and Thalia, Ruby’s best friend. They met during Ruby and Tanner’s wedding. Once the saw each other, flashes came out of their eyes. She was frustrated because she always ended with the wrong man. He was frustrated because he always considered the black sheep of the family. Ash lives in Atlanta and Thalia in New York and that separation could keep them separated. However, even though he was avoiding her, she ended by mistake sleeping in Ash’s room and they realized their mutual attraction. They tried to be together but he was scared to hurt Thalia because he was a big man. However, she wanted him. Between desires to be together, flights that ended switching cities and love, this story is really sweet. I loved the character and the plot. Highly recommended.

.
The two things that caught my attention for this story:
* this line in the description: ‘Does the big guy, the funny friend, the guy with a great personality actually have a chance?’
* The author’s ‘Sugar Promise’ of ‘high heat, low drama, guaranteed.’
I wanted a palette cleanser and this one seemed like a great choice. Has a rom-com vibe (I lol’d quit a few times).
There is an age-gap between the FMC and MMC.
Both have unlucky dating history
Room keys are switched by accident
Overall I liked the story. It was the palette cleanser/fluffy read I wanted. My only dislikes were that the relationship felt so fast-paced, and at times I felt like the FMC was a little too immature.
.
This is book two but each is a stand-alone (follows a different couple). The couple from book one does appear in this one though so if you want to avoid any spoilers it’s probably a good idea to read them in order.

I received a copy from Booksprout; this is my honest review.
-Fun May/December romance which happens to start at Tanner & Ruby's wedding. How romantic.
-I liked Tahlia better in this story and Ash was simply the perfect man for her. He's attentive, a gentleman, with not too much money and a great mother and sister.
-We got to see Darren and Theo again; those are always great and they make the mood around them lighter.
-My first OMG moment was when Andy and Karen did a make-up session during the reception. That was fun to watch.
-At 80% we get an inkling of who will be the next couple. Then on 2-3 occasions, it just confirms it. Not sure how they pulled it off though. I can't wait for the next story.
-One thing that bothers me in most of Wade's books are the unprotected scenes. It's unbelievable how it doesn't worry anyone. This is one of my biggest pet peeves. One star off.

Tahlia is maid of honor to Ruby and meets Ash at the wedding. They hit it off but when it comes to end the night Ash leaves alone. Tahlia stays and hangs out with his family and friends and when she wakes up the next morning she is in a rom with Ash. Sparks fly between them and even though he needs to leave soon Ash can't leave without being with her. Soon they are talking about seeing each other long distance. They make time for one another as things heat up between them. However will the distance between them cause trouble between them? Can they find a way to be together?

This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

The second book in the series is Ash and Tahlia's journey to finding their HEA. Ash and Tahlia meet at their friends wedding, although there is an instant connection, there is a couple of factors that slows thing down. Ash is in his forties living in Atlanta. Tahlia now in her twenties lives in Newark. 4

This story has an unusual take with Ash, his is not the striking handsome make that make all the women drool over. Ash is husky but with a big heart, when Tahlia show interest he is hesitant thinking it is the wedding emotions driving her. When the reconnect at the christening the are open to see where things go.

Wrong Room, Wright Girl is a well written story with just the right amount of everything that will have lost in the pages of the story.

This was a great read. This book brings us Ash and Tahlia. Ash is a 42 year old single man, who has left his family's business to do what he truly loves, and his family has disowned him, all except his cousin. He is at his wedding, when he spots Tahlia, one of the bridesmaids, and he is instantly attracted to her. However, there is quite an age difference, and Ash is also does not communicate well with others. However, Tahlia brings out the man he wants to be. I loved Tahlia as she knows exactly what she wants and doesn't want. The problems that occur between the two of them are difficult but not impossible. It was so nice to see them progress throughout their relationship. This was a great read and I highly recommend it. I did receive an arc for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. It was refreshing to read about a hero who seems to have it all, yet he is not like other guys who come across as cocky and arrogant. Ash deals with a bit of self esteem issues. He wonders if he will ever find a woman who will be accepting of him. He is not the guys with the six or eight pack. The guys who looks like he spends all his free time at the gym. Ash is okay with that most of the time. Thalia is sweet and just the person Ash needs in his life. The two meet when Thalia's best friend marries Ash's cousin. The sparks fly between them from the beginning. This is a sweet read. I love how they really try and make their relationship work since they do not live in the same state and how they both seem to be willing to do what it takes to stay together. Their is definitely chemistry between them. Great book with a great HEA.

This was an enjoyable romantic comedy.

Ash Wright is a husky, 6'4" medical engineer. He was cut out of his father's will in college when he refused to study business and media and chose engineering instead. He has a baby face even in his early forties and grew a beard to try to look his age. He is standing up for his cousin Tanner. He sees Tahlia and is totally smitten but thinks she is out of his league.

Tahlia Adams is a petite red head standing up for her best friend's wedding. She sees Ash and is attracted to him but has terrible taste in men and does not trust her instincts.

They decide to try a long distance relationship. There are a comedy of errors before they get their HEA.

Ash considers himself to be an ugly duckling. He’s too tall, has a little weight around the middle and he doesn’t feel very handsome. When he meets Tahlia at his cousins wedding, he immediately knows that she’s way out of his league. Well Tahlia has her own thoughts about Ash’s looks. Once attraction is established, they agree to a long distance relationship and the rest of the story circles around if they can make that work.

Tahlia is a sweetheart that isn’t afraid to be honest and Ash is a teddy bear at heart that just wants what everyone else around him has. This story has 18+ steaminess and HEA.

These stories are good for a short dose of steam and sweetness! Entertaining and lighthearted romances. Enjoyed this one a bit more than the first story in this series. The guy, Ash, was a real sweetie, and I appreciate that Thalia was honest with what she was feeling. I didn’t really care for her in the first book, so it’s nice that I didn’t mind her much in the 2nd book. Book 2 dealt with the couple having to deal with some long distance relationship type of issues. I do think I would’ve liked for Thalia to have her character be a more complete character; I didn’t really get a sense of what she likes besides wanting Ash, so it would’ve been nice for her to be a more well rounded character. Still a sweet read though.

Adorable couple!

I loved this return to the Wright crew as we got to catch up with Tanner and Ruby again but oh my, Thalia and Ash are just so perfect for each other! I really loved how once again the story was so well thought out and engaging. I loved the characters and the story kept me interested throughout. I couldn't put it down! If you know and love the author already from her shorter stories, definitely check this series. I can't wait for the next one, I hope it's about Isla and Bank because there's definitely something going on there!

His tiny, beautiful package. Her sexy, big-hearted giant.

Megan Wade weaves another stunning tale of insta love that’ll have you swooning as you read this book. There really aren’t enough words to say about just how good this book is! I need more than five stars to give!
Ash and Tahlia meet at a wedding and the chemistry between them is off the charts hot! But a long distance relationship is difficult for anyone. There is so much love and devotion and fun and silly hanky-panky going on as they figure things out. This page-turning, swoon-worthy book is a must read!

Ash and Tahlia meet at the wedding of Tanner, Ash's cousin and Ruby, Tahlia's best friend. The attraction is instant but Ash is worried because although he doesn't look it he's 42 and Tahlia is 25, plus he doesn't think he's much of a catch. The fickle finger of fate has friends take a very drunk Tahlia to her room, but it's not hers it's Ash's.
Here beginneth a long distance love story as Tahlia lives in New York and Ash is in Atlanta. It takes a special couple with a special love to make this work to reach their HEA.

Wrong Room, Wright Girl: a full-length husky man romance by Megan Wade. Much anticipated full-length story that did not disappoint and sticks with the sugary promise of high heat and low drama. Just the right mix for the mix-up of the wrong room but with wright girl. I loved that the Ash was insecure and not comfortable or the typical macho lead. Thalia was head strong and smart and thought she has type, turns out her type was much different. An entertaining story with drama, personal conflicts and reflection, undeniable sparks, and sweet HEA. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I loved the inner dialogue of Ash, he was so funny and quick as a whip with his jokes and one liners, plus he was a real genuine nice person. Tahlia is a firecracker, so full of spunk and desperately wants to meet the Wright guy. Loved how these two come together and their relationship. It was fun and a little sad to see them both just trying to be together and passing each other, not to mention the surprise greeting Tahlia gives to Ash and unsuspecting company, talk about mortifying. A great fun book, with a wonderful love story and figuring out all the details.

This book was a nice departure from most current romances I have read. The guy in this story is always the nice guy who second guesses himself with women and feels like the big guy in the group. The heroine is the girl who always goes for the really bad boys and second guesses herself with men. Together they make a great couple who deal with finding love with each other and trying to make it work. I especially liked the room key switch and the heroine meeting the guys mother for the first time. Really like this series and look forward to reading them all.
