Let Me Ride
Insecurity isn’t a part of who she is, but appearances mean everything. There are some people who are great story tellers, Monica Walters falls into that category! She completely draws me in every time I read a body of her work! These characters literally come to life in an instant and I feel like I’m one of the homies or apart of the family 😂🤣.
Either way, this 45 year old woman Vida Indigo Coles falling in love with a 28 year old man Aston Martin Eldridge (this name sent me 🤣) was a vibe! Vida had a rough life & her story was a lot, especially when everything came out about her past. Even with that, she seemed like an amazing person & the best person for Mr. Aston.! Now Aston’s mother was goofy for her antics in this book lol. Although she was apart of the goof troop, I still felt bad for her given that her seeking revenge lead to her final outcome! Synthia’s story was a lot to digest as well, and although it took her some time to come around I’m glad she finally did!
Although this was a standalone, the Henderson’s still showed up and showed out in this book!! I love how they are always showing up for other people and ride hard for their family!!! Given everything that happened with Chrissy, I’m eager to read her story!!! Great segway 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾!!

March 17, 2021This book was such a disappointment to read. I got really excited going into this book because I wanted so badly to read an age-gap story. This story really didn’t live up to my expectations. I will start by saying Vida really didn’t act like a 45 year old women but I had to check myself and realize that there isn’t a guide for how you act at any age. I liked that Aston went after Vida with a persistence that couldn’t be denied. That was cute. Vida and Aston did have that sexual chemistry. They didn’t lack in that area, I felt they lacked romance. There was really nothing romantic about this story in my opinion. I felt the story started out well but then so many storylines weaved in that it took away from me connecting with the couple outside of their sexual activity. I wanted more romance and less drama. The twists and curveballs in this story were unnecessary and it got old really quick. Yes, I get it sometimes makes for an exciting storyline but it also makes the story unbelievably frustrating . There many problematic and triggering scenes. There is a content warning for mention of rape but I found more scenes that readers should’ve been warned about. I will suggest the author add some sensitivity readers for her stories moving forward because there is always some cringeworthy parts when reading. This story had the potential to be a great age gap story but the constant reveal of drama ruined it for me. I do believe that this author is capable of writing stories without a plethora of drama and I can’t wait to read it

I loved this for so many reasons! Number one being Vida finally letting his mama have it! 😤 This story was a perfect dose of secrets being revealed that ended on both ends of the spectrum as far as the results of said secrets. Loved it sis!

Yasss Miss Monica! Loving the classy ratchet, for the grown and sexy women! Vida was bout her business, but loved that ratchet ish! I so enjoyed that about her. I wondered why she was so guarded, and boy did she have a lot that she was holding in! Aston! Had his head on straight about his paper, but was still out there wildin' with the ladies. Laying eyes on Vida, changed his whole world! Had him thinking of committment and love already! Although Vida worked my nerves a bit with her back and forth, she finally gave in and took a chance. I loved these two together, with they nasty asses!
(Can I just say, I wish Vida had a chance to get her hands on Roslyn's petty ass)!! 😠 Glad we were able to catch up with the Hendersen's, and learn a bit more about Chrissy. Wow! When all was revealed about Avery, I was mush! 😢 My heart broke for Chrissy, as she knew she would have to reveal this to her brothers. I hope Chrissy gets to tell her story soon. You never let me down ma'am. Another gem to add to your vast collection! Great read! 👍👍👍

This motherfudgesicklestix book was of the chain, from the sex to the drama, to the heartbreak, just everything was just, wow. Some of the revelations left me clutching my pearls and my jaw on the floor.
Aston, Aston, Aston😍! That young tenderoni can get it😜😂. He was so gone off Vida, it was definitely love at first site, just took him a minute to realize it. He really went out of his way to court, show her that despite the huge age difference he was all about her.

Once she got back to Nome and Aston effed up her life she starred doing to much. She played mo games than the NBA, NFL and all them other sports combined, lbvvs. I cursed her out so many times, like sis give Aston fine sexy ass some credit for being there. Walking around acting like Aston didn't put all that🍆up in her and have her losing her mind.

Syn was a huge surprise but a welcomed one, despite how the first meet and greet went. Her story was heartbreaking & I've been there so I wouldn't wish that type of pain and turmoil on nobody.

This book was quite a ride with Aston and Vida. I love how The age gap was addressed. It make me realize that sometimes society tells us what love should look like and we often miss the our true love. Now, I was truly over Aston’s mother. She was truly a jealous woman and glad karma hit her. I would love a story on Chrissy and her possibly finding love again. Monica Walters you did it again!

Another hit
I just love the country hood love series!! This book dropped in the middle of the work day. I couldn’t wait for the day to end so I can jump in this story. I was not disappointed!! I love age gaps but especially when the woman is older. I loved how Vida put it on Ashton’s young self. This was an excellent story, the author handled a couple of sensitive topics in such a respectful way. I love how Vida decided to let down her guard and let Ashton love her. Another 5 star read.

Pretty good read! Monica never disappoints so I expect a good storyline with admirable men and bomb sex. I gave four stars only because there was a few parts where I got lost but otherwise a solid read. Good work.

This book was a great adventure. It started out with Vida/Indi getting on my last nerves🤣. She’s 45 and Ashton is 28..big age difference. They both got on my nerves in the beginning until they got themselves together and decided to pursue a relationship. Vida/Indi worried about what people would think and say about the age difference while Ashton didn’t give two figs🤣😜. Some of the Hendersons made appearances, Storm acting the fool all day long, being the most seeing as how Ashton worked in his shop as a mechanic.🤦🏽♀️. Now Momma Elderidge..this lady was really and truly out of control. Who tries to destroy someone else’s life from jealousy? Who? Like this is your son and because you hate his woman you going all out to destroy her?🤦🏽♀️. Plus you sick and closer to seeing God or the Devil real soon but you still won’t get it right or together🙄🤦🏽♀️. Miserable lonely woman. Avery and all the lives he touched..my heart goes out to them💔. I think he got off too easy😔, just saying. Glad Indi and Ashton Martin, luxury vehicle😜, got their HEA after all they went through. LOVE HAS NO AGE LIMIT
The author has done it again with another hot steamy read. Very well written and the character development was great. Like the singer Aaliyah said "Age Aint Nothing But A Number" and when it came to Aston and Vida the attraction and chemistry these two had outweighed the age difference. Vida definitely couldn't deny that, no matter how hard she tried to stay away due to Aston's age. I loved this book because we got to read an older woman with a younger man. And a younger man who not only had it going on with swag but in the bedroom as well. He sure did take this cougar on a wild ride that she couldn't seem to get enough of. And in the end, their love prevailed despite the hatred and jealousy. Great cameos from The Henderson Clan.

I lost sleep reading this and had to finish it. I think Vida going to get on everyone nerves but she got it together because Aston a whole new vibe. That completion to me out. This book had secrets, drama, jealousy, grudges, comedy, love, fear, pain, and sex all which makes for a good read. Vida was afraid to connect with Aston because of their age he tried to back away but something kept bringing him back.

Vida Indigo Coles returned to Nome after her parents were killed. Grieving and not really wanting to be back in her home town, she meets Aston and they had such chemistry! At first the 17 year age difference was a problem but Aston proved age was nothing but a number! So glad she met Synthia and the truth came out about Avery. What a shame what happened to those young girls! Great read Monica, I love the topics you are discussing in this series!

I loved this reverse age-gap story. Vida started to work my nerves. I felt like i need to ride an Aston Martin 😋 If you've read the story, you'll get it.
The story moved well. The characters are developed and the plot was solid. I think the heavy elements added an extra emotional layer to the story. It was good to catch up with the Henderson family, especially my book bae Storm.

Vida and Aston man where do I begin. Vida really got on my nerves a little bit. I understood how she felt about the age difference but she should have just talked to Aston about it. I'm glad that Vida reconnected with her daughter. I hate that her parents passed. As for Aston mama she too old to act like that. I felt bad for Chrissy. Storm still crazy. I loved this story. The characters were well written and fully developed. The supporting cast hilarious and perfect for the book. I laughed, I was angry, and frontage with this couple. A Few Bumps on this Ride
I'm not a fan of significantly older woman, younger man romance stories. More than five years difference is a problem for me. That being said...Vida changed my whole mind! I loved her and Ashton together!
Ashton knew who and what he wanted and went after it. Even when Vida was one minute hot then cold. No she wasn't having a hot flash. lol
Ashton's mama, whew, was a something else. It was great seeing the Hendersons and Storm's mean crazy ass. I really enjoyed taking the ride with Vida and Ashton.

Ashton's mama, whew, was a something else. It was great seeing the Hendersons and Storm's mean crazy ass. I really enjoyed taking the ride with Vida and Ashton.

Wow, dang, speechless💦🔥💦🔥
Every time I read another one of this author's 📚books, it takes me to another level of amazement..🙌👏 I always love 💘visiting Nome and this trip was no different. I particularly enjoyed Vida because of her age and the fact that she was living it up, riding on luxury and doing all kinds of freaky ish🔥💦🔥. Aston was cute and definitely young 😍. Glad they overcame The age gap, but bingo has hella knees for a forty plus woman 🚺. She made me proud👏🙌👏😂The story line was amazing and very unpredictable. It warmed my heart that she and Syn were able to have a relationship. Another awesome 🙌.👏🙌👏.

A Joy
Vida and Aston prove that age doesn't have anything to do with chemistry, passion, and a helluva connection. They bring out the best in each other and growth is apparent for them both. His mother is a total trip but love his dad. The way love encased them is very transparent and shows that when it's right, it's right. I loved this story and enjoyed the story within the story. It is good seeing more of Chrissy Henderson and getting to know her more. Of course the Hendersons are always a joy and definitely bring the laugh. Aston Martin and Vida Indigo made beautiful music together.

Yall listen Ms Monica never fails!! This reverse age gap romance took me on quite a Journey. The chemistry between Aston and Vida was instant and undeniable. Vida's may have been 45 but didn't act like it. For Aston the age gap didn't matter because the heart wants what the heart wants! They took me on one wild ride that I didn't want to end. While Vida and her pettiness was irritating, it was Rosalyn who irked me the most. Sis was a bitter betty the entire book 🤦🏾♀️. The appearances from the Henderson clan were a bonus. Overall a great read. Can't wait to see if Chrissy got next?

Aston and Indi
I just loved their relationship...even with the age difference, Aston held his own. He was not afraid to check Indi when he needed too. I understand how she can worry about what people thinks of her being that was how high school went, but baby, at some point you have to say whatever. Now she made the decision to give this young man a try and when she did, it was on from there. Always nice to hear from the Henderson’s too!!! Avery luck he’s alive...and Syn was and is a mini Indi. Happy she got to meet both her parents.

On Fire!
Aston and Vida were haute!! Their chemistry was on fire from the first time they met! Vida had a hard time accepting the age difference, but couldn't live without him. Having the Henderson's in this book made it even more interesting! Aaron's mama definitely needed prayer. I'm glad he didn't allow her to interfere with his and Vida's relationship. Vida meeting her daughter and building a relationship was beautiful. I truly enjoyed everything about this book! Hope to be reading something about Chrissy finding happiness soon. Job well done!

Indi/Vida
Although stressful I can understand why she reacted the way that she did. She has some major walls up and I truly didn’t blame her. Aston was so patience, caring and determination. He could have walked away but he saw something worth fighting for. I really enjoyed the storyline. There were some heavy topics but it was definitely worth it
