I thought His Temporary Assistant will be cheesy and cheap romance. It turns out good. This is my first read from Miss Quinn.
What I like about the book is the banter, the cinversation between the characters. Both hero and heroine developed well and Miss Quinn inserting hot sexy chemistry between them.
The story is long but it is a very enjoyable reading.

A sexy LOL read.
I really laughed at the antics between these two characters and the antics that the authors provided were so amazing. I enjoyed reading this story and the vibes of the new location.

Ryan Moon is quite sure she'll never get through the week assisting the man she's dubbed PMS. He's uptight and stuffy...and quite the hottie. She can't possibly be falling for such a guy, can she? Not the guy who's her complete opposite. Not the guy who, it turns out, is an absolute sweetheart beneath his fancy suits and uptight façade. I loved this rom com. It's seriously hot, it's witty and funny, and the banter between Ryan and Preston is a hoot! Opposites attract has never been as hot, nor as fun as PMS and his Moonbeam.

What a Great Start!!
Crescent Cove series which is the baby making capital of the world is just down the road to Kensington Square and things are just beginning to heat up here now as well. Preston is an uptight lawyer who is a divorce attorney which was not his number field to be in and I’m sure this is what made him into the grumpy guy he is today. His assistant is about to go on leave and her best friend, Ryan, is going to temp for her.
Now where Preston whose initials are PMS (LOL) really is opposite to Ryan’s free spirit, tarot card reading personality. This only makes things better. The humor in this story is great and the steam even better. I cannot wait for more to come from the Kensington Square series.

This is a short, spicy read about a workaholic who falls madly in love with his temporary assistant in a week. The dialogue is fun and humorous, and there's a cool cat who added to the story, but so many different aspects were shoe-horned into this book that it felt disjointed. However, if you're into your parents walking in on your making out (not once, but twice!) then this is the book for you.

This book is Hot with a capita H. Sworny and so unputdownable. Ryan's and Preston's story is so awesome. Their chemistry is off the charts and the end had me a bit misty eyed. I loved reading this book so much. Highly recommend. The kind you don't want to finish yet you can't wait to know how their story ends. So looking forward to the next.

A super instalove story between Preston, a divorce lawyer and Ryan, his temporary assistant.
Overall, this was a fun read that I enjoyed but a few things were not my style. The biggest one is how quickly the MMC fell for the FMC. There was literally no time (3 days) to actually know her! I understand lust and attraction but feelings in such a short time, I simply can’t comprehend it. I liked their interactions, most were rather entertaining but I fail to see how an adult of Ryan’s age could behave so immaturely and without taking into consideration that her “professional” behaviour, or lack of it, could actually do her friend harm. Mostly she was like a caricature, I wasn’t convinced that a person would ever behave that way.

Another fictional town in upstate New York houses this new series from writing duo Taryn Quinn. His Temporary Assistant is the first book in the Kensington Square series and I’m already fascinated by the wild and crazy cast of characters. When uptight esquire (you know the pompous word for an attorney), Preston Michael Shaw’s (aka PMS) assistant needs to leave town suddenly she enlists the help of one of her good friends to take her place. Ryan is a free spirit, an artist, a Tarot card reader, and a podcaster and despises the uptight Preston from his first email. They are complete opposites, but you know what they say about opposites attracting. Pretty soon Ryan’s crystals are giving off weird energy, Preston is convinced she’s put a sex hex on him because he hasn’t thought that much about sex in a long time, and they are having trouble keeping their lips to themselves. Meanwhile, Preston is dealing with a personal crisis and Ryan is convinced that something is terribly wrong with all of her and her friend Luna’s Tarot card decks. Rip-roaring hilarious, scintillating sexy times, and two people discovering laughter, love, and happiness, I loved His Temporary Assistant.

What a delightful departure for Taryn Quinn! They've done workplace stories before, but this was an enemies-to-lovers, rom-com, workplace story. It's like they wrote it just for me. It hits all my faves. Well, almost all, but enough for me to be one-hundred percent delighted.
I adored these characters. Whether they be main or auxiliary. I'm hoping, since this is the first of a series, that we see a lot of the characters again. They've already teased the next book, featuring Bishop (and April?) My Boss's Secret but there are plenty of possibilities. Luna already has her book, Wrong Bed Baby.
I totally fell in love with both Preston and Ryan - although it took me a tiny bit to understand Ryan. She's very complicated at first, and then it becomes Preston's turn to develop when you know who Ryan is. A great balance of character development.
Both of them have decisions to make about their lives, and while they help each other, they both make those changes on their own. Makes for a much more appealing book.
I heartily recommend His Temporary Assistant with a 4.5 star rating. It's a refreshing and pleasurable read.

Taryn Quinn has outdone herself with thisone. Who knew a divorce lawyer and a witch would be so much fun? Preston Shaw and Ryan Moon are the perfect combination to make me laugh, swoon and get all mushy. Preston is unexpected. He has been focused on his father's firm for so long, he's lost his sense of life. And being a divorce lawyer makes him a slight bit jaded about love. One week of his assistant going on vacation cahnges his life in ways he couldn't have imagined. Ryan opens up so many boxes that Preston didnt even know he had. Ryan is a breath of fresh air. Her smooth flowing life is about to get turned on its ear. She is happy with her life. She does tarot card readings, has a podcast, and draws for herself. She makes enough for herself and thats perfect for her. Her snarky sense of speaking gets under Preston's skin from the first email. I adore Ryan! She has walls built with her crystals to ward off all sorts of things, not to mention her tarot card deck that leads her into each day. When she locks horns with Preston, her cards and crystals have no chance. The banter they have had me rolling to the floor at some points and the heat they produced could light a bonfire to keep a village warm. Loved everything about this and cannot wait for more from this town!

His Temporary Assistant by Taryn Quinn had me chuckling from start to finish! The book kept me engaged, kept me wanting more, kept me thoroughly entertained and thoroughly enthralled by the characters!
Ryan is a firecracker and a hoot! She's feisty and fiery and independent yet sweet and caring and empathetic.
Preston is growly and surly and stern yet has a lot of repressed emotion just waiting to bubble to the surface and break free.
They both have their own fair share of baggage, but from the moment they meet, from the very first seemingly innocent and innocuous touch, sparks fly. Their CHEMISTRY is next level, their banter is hilarious, and their passion for one another that they in turns try and fight is combustible!
Also, can we just take a moment to enjoy the fantastic cast of secondary characters? I need April's story, I need Luna's story, and I'm super curious about Dex too!
If you're looking for a feel good story with the delicious tropes of opposites attract and boss secretary, this will ABSOLUTELY fit the bill! So, what are you waiting for? Dive in! Guarantee it'll leave you smiling!

Preston Michael Shaw is a devil of a man. A workaholic without question, a man with a huge heart he keeps hidden without a doubt. When a secret came to light I felt Preston’s devastation. That one moment takes Preston on a different path in his life.
Ryan G Moon was a magical delight for this reader. I mean wow! I did not expect this heroine, but I am so happy I got to experience her. Ryan will always be there to help a friend, even though she could strangle said friend right now. LOL! Loading up on good juju juice Ryan sets off to live through the week what she was not expecting was PMS.
Magically the connection between Preston and Ryan starts out as I want to fry his man parts to humm he has nice man parts *grins* Their chemistry is out of this world, but what was the most wonderful part of His Temporary Assistant was the growth I witnessed with both characters. Total opposites they work through that toward something more. Can they find their way to get what they both truly want?
Supporting characters add so many different layers to the plot as well as too Preston and Ryan. They’re without a doubt an interesting bunch. Taryn Quinn brings the fun and heat in His Temporary Assistant, the start to their newest series and I absolutely adored it! Preston and Ryan were FIRE!!!! This story has it all: hot sexy times, hilariously witty banter, a quirky, mystical beauty and a smoking hot buttoned up suit. Quinn ties these all together in the perfect way and readers will inhale this story and not be able to put it down!
Ryan Moon was such a fun character and a breath of fresh air when she steps into Preston Shaw's law firm and completely upends his life. Preston M Shaw, or "PMS" to Ryan is an all-work, no-play kind of guy. He lives to work and is super regimented. When Ryan subs as his assistant/receptionist for a week, she sets his world ablaze. She is able to peel back all of his layers to unearth a completely different man hidden under the designer suits. These two are so freaking hot and the chemistry is off the charts! No joke the sexual energy completely rocks them both! Their flirty, witty banter is hilarious and I found myself laughing out loud at their antics. And when these two *finally* give in to their desires.....get that cold shower ready! They are smokin' hot!

Preston Shaw is a stuffy divorce lawyer. A real stick-up-the-bum type. When his assistant goes on an unexpected vacation, and gets her best friend Ryan to fill in, Preston is wary, but figures, "How bad can this guy be?" Then he learns that SHE is not what he expected at all. Beautiful, a bit flighty, and Wiccan, she immediately gets under his skin.
Taryn and Cari have another winner on their hands with this book. It's not your typical hot office romance, though there is PLENTY of that go to around. No, in true TQ style, these characters have depth, foibles, secrets, and are utterly relatable. Their banter comes easy and unforced, and their stories unfold in a natural, engaging way, sucking in this reader quickly.

Fantastic first release for what I think will be an amazing series for these ladies.
Great characters, amazing, and sometimes funny, dialogue and a sweet, beautiful love story. You will fall in love with Miss Moon and PMS. Trust me on this. These 2 are off the charts with HOTNESS but so clueless it makes their journey so much fun to read.
If you've ever read Taryn Quinn then you know they never disappoint. If you've never read their work then this first release in this new series is a great place start.
Do yourself a favor and check it out.

Preston Michael Shaw, Esquire - more affectionally known as PMS to his tarot card reading temporary assistant Ryan Goddess Moon, is a workaholic who thinks everyone working less than him is slacking.
Artist and card reader Ryan is PMS's assistant's best friend, so when she (April) takes a week of leave to honeymoon with her grandmother (book 3 we'll learn more of her adventures) she organises the perpetually late Ryan to cover her.
I'm not sure what is was besides her lack of respect for the guy which he seemed to respect her for, that drew these two together. He's a divorce lawyer who doesn't believe in love after watching couple after couple tear each other apart once that supposed love had burned out. He's bitter about the way his brother lives his life, women, skiing, not spending every waking moment working. With his father close to retirement, Preston cannot seem to step back despite his underlying desire to do just that.
Ryan watched her hippie-living mother go through man after man during her vagabond childhood. She's happy with short term relationships and definitely isn't looking for something serious with her hot new temporary boss who drives a beige car and doesn't know how to relax.
I guess if I'm honest, I didn't really get their connection. She's gorgeous and sassy. He's hot and grumpy. I mean, obviously I see the attraction. Just not their connection, a very quick connection at that.

His Temporary Assistiant: A Grumpy Boss Romantic Comedy is set in the quaint town of Kensington Square not far from Crescent Cove. The story focuses on Preston Shaw, aka P.M.S., an uptight lawyer and Ryan Moon the whimsical tarot card reader, crystal clad, enchantress. Much like Taryn Quinn's Crescent Cove series, I am drawn into their lives and those of the town. Ryan is filling in for her good friend at the Shaw law firm offices. The week for Ryan and Preston is full of the unexpected as their relationship develops. "...opened up the whole world to me-both the logical one and the mystical."
I liked that the authors used crossover of characters from Crescent Cove. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading more in the series.
I liked that the authors used crossover of characters from Crescent Cove. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading more in the series.

Hilarious romance
I loved both Preston and Ryan. Their story had me laughing all throughout. The best part was the sex hex. Preston and Ryan clashed from the very beginning, with very entertaining banter. Preston is a rigid person who lives by the rules while Ryan is a free spirit who has a hard time with the rules. When they finally get together, things just explode. They definitely balance each other out, but one is afraid to go all in while the other one is hesitant. I really enjoyed reading their story.

I found this to be fun, funny, an infuriatingly emotional land mine of a read with Preston and Ryan mixing like oil with water.
But they worked as a couple despite all the reasons that they shouldn’t have.
Side characters were great and that three legged cat nearly made me cheer!
All in all a perfect introduction into a new series.

His Temporary Assistant is smoking hot and so funny. There’s many scenes that had me laughing out loud. Preston and Ryan are truly opposites attract. This is a must read rom con!

Crazy! Loved Preston in all his stuffy lawyer ways. Ryan is a Goddess he wasn't prepared for. These two are so hawt together. Love, love love this hilarious adventure into the world of lawyers and freespirits!
