The first three novels in this pulse-pounding international FBI thriller series. At the London embassy, FBI agent Ingrid Skyberg fights to protect American citizens who become victims of crime. In this compelling three-book set, Ingrid hunts for terrifying killers, AWOL military officers and her mysterious predecessor while also battling demons from her past. Up-all-night thrillers that are perfect for fans of gripping crime, unpredictable twists, white-knuckle action and unputdownable heroines. BOOK 1 – FRESH DOUBT
How can you be sure when someone is lying? An American student at an elite London college is in police custody, suspected of murdering her roommate. Convinced something sinister is happening on campus, Ingrid enters a world of deadly mind games to hunt for the real killer, in defiance of both her new boss and the Metropolitan Police. Isolated and out on a limb, Ingrid is driven by events from her past to keep digging, but the deeper she gets, the more elaborate the lies become. When she uncovers a sinister experiment within the college’s psychology department, Ingrid is in far more danger than she realizes. BOOK 2 – KILL PLAN
A serial killer has a plan...and Ingrid is part of it. A banker is found dead at his desk in the City of London. Then a heavily tattooed body washes up in the Thames. Now someone is after Ingrid. At first these crimes seem unrelated, but they are all the work of an audacious serial killer working on both sides of the Atlantic. With no help from her colleagues, Ingrid is running out of time to unmask the killer before he strikes again. But to do that, she’s first got to stay alive. BOOK 3 – DEEP HURT
He killed his daughter. Now he's taken his son. Ingrid receives orders from the Pentagon to track down a pilot who has gone AWOL from a US Air Force base in rural Suffolk. Accused of murdering his baby daughter, he’s now abducted his eight-year-old son and gone on the run. Ingrid must act fast to stop the pilot doing something no one will forgive him for, but a terrifying turn of events lands Ingrid in the greatest danger, just as haunting memories from the past threaten to engulf her.
Eva Hudson was born and raised in south London. Before taking up writing seriously at the age of 43, Eva worked as a local government officer, singer, dotcom entrepreneur, portrait artist, web designer, project manager and content editor.
In 2011 her first novel, The Loyal Servant, won the inaugural Lucy Cavendish Fiction Prize from Cambridge University. The book was also shortlisted for UK TV's People's Novelist Competition.
In 2013, Eva received a terminal cancer diagnosis and this spurred her on to write the book she always wanted to read, a female Jack Reacher adventure. She created Ingrid Skyberg, an FBI agent working out the US embassy in London who's tenacious, resilient and determined, qualities Eva herself had in abundance as she went through treatment. Before she died in 2015, Eva had published four Skyberg books. She also left an unfinished manuscript and notes for future adventures with her partner and editor Jo Monroe who continues to write the series.

Interesting mix of American FBI and UK police investigations. good story telling, keeping the reader on their toes..... Not everything is as obvious as it seems
If you're looking for a new series or a favourite author to follow the FBI agent Ingrid Skyberg by Eva Hudson could be the one you're meant to read.
Ingrid is seconded to the American Embassy in London and gets involved with local police if any American is the victim or perpetrator of a crime. Her role is to make sure that the victim or perpetrator is aware of their rights and is treated in an appropriate manner while any investigation is undertaken.
As the books progress more is revealed about Ingrid and her relationships with her fiance Marshall and her friend DCI McKittrick the one true friend she's made since arriving in London.
I promise anyone if you read these books you'll become as big a fan as I have. By the end of the third book I was in tears as it's so poignant and beautifully written.
Agent Skyberg of the FBI on attachment to the American Embassy in London. Should be an easy time but is far from it! 3 good stories all with an underlying plot about a friend of Ingrid who was abducted whilst they were playing together as children. This incident is why Ingrid became an Agent. Every book involves a different crime to test Ingrid and her best to impossible task of having to be a step behind all the time because of her role. But her doggedness pays off every time as she takes nothing at face value. Thoroughly enjoyed these novels and looking to the next box set.
Many writers have good plots but few can carry them onto paper.
Many writers have good plots but few can carry them onto paper. I just waded thru another's efforts.
These books I flew through. Eva Hudson has the magic touch. Or maybe, after 50 years of lawyering, including time as a prosecutor and as a defense counsel, I was able to really appreciate her art and skill. I was usually right at her side, occasionally surprised but occasionally a bit ahead. I literally read evrry volume in a day (retirement let's you do that).
I really enjoyed these first three Skyberg thrillers. Great cast of characters and an interesting setting. They are easy reading thrillers and do set your pulse racing at times. I did spot a few of the twists, but will certainly buy more nonetheless. This was on a kindle bundle with all three for 99p, which was an absolute bargain!
I really enjoyed these, we didn't get what Ingrid looked like shoved down our throats, we got a clever sensitive heroine with very good stories, I did guess the last one before half way but it was nicely told so I want mad 😀
Just completed books 1-3. Each book got better. Book three even skipped a few steps up the ladder. Very detailed without being tiresome. Bypassed some of the graphic details that have become overwhelming. Looking for to the next effort.
I'm enthralled with the Ingrid Skyberg stories already. Fast paced plots with plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader interested. I'm off to buy book 4...
