Travis likes to carry out abortions with his bare hands. Queefs send Daniel into a homicidal rage. These two eligible bachelors are about to meet their match in Luna and Reba, two out-of-town bitches, who like their cocks unattached.
The survivors win an all-expenses-paid trip to Meat and Moonface's rape and torture chamber. It’s all been foreplay up until now.
Simon McHardy is the author of the infamous MOTHER MAGGOT. He lives a reclusive life in Tasmania Australia. Due to the extreme nature of his books, most are exclusive to Godless.com.
The story is well written with well developed characters. Everything in this story is insane.
I highly recommend it to brutal, disturbing, horror books fan ! Simon McHardy is definitely one of the Kings of that genre ! He has such a scary imagination !😱
You know when you are reading a horror story by Simon McHardy that all of your buttons are going to get pushed. How far will the author go with body horror and depravity? If you are familiar with his work and you still want to know, then Meat and Moonface welcome you. If it is intense splatter and deviance that you seek, you will not be disappointed. More books, Simon!
I'm just wondering when I'll read that thing that will be too much for me, too far over the line that I'm actually horrified and not rooting for the bad guy while giggling at all the antics.
Moonface was an awful, messed up person, but so was everyone else in the story. At least he was just trying to make his dad happy. And isn't that what life is all about, making daddy proud?
Simon is a fucking brute, a hysterical, brutal story teller with fresh new ways to make you sick.
Meat and Moonface. Can anyone think of a better father- son duo? I for one, cannot. I read an ARC of this story and was pleasantly surprised. This story is gruesome, disgusting, twisted and classic McHardy. I won't give away spoilers as this is on the shorter side, but if you like ingenious killing, likable, yet vile characters, and hilarity, this is for you. Fans of Mother Maggot will love this sick and twisted tale. I for one look forward to reading more work by McHardy.
This reminds me a lot of Edward Lee's nastier works, especially the ones involving rednecks. However, I found this a lot more enjoyable because McHardy doesn't overcook the aspect of the characters being Aussie Bogans. No overwrought argot and the like.
The story is pretty outlandish and strange, as well as being unrelentingly unpleasant. McHardy does a good job of creating a cartoonishly vicious dog-eat-dog world, which made a lot of the violence easy to swallow, as well as made some of the weird parts easier to buy.
Simon McHardy is at it again, and I love it! He released two fantastically nasty and bizarre novellas on March 15, 2021. I am going to share my thoughts on both of these fine Splatterpunk novellas, but if you want your own copies you need to go to http://www.godless.com. These are not available on Amazon, and are very extreme. So if you don’t like the gore you better hit the door!
Simon McHardy’s Moonface is an absolute gore fest! Moonface and his father Meat live a secluded lifestyle. A lifestyle filled with death and debauchery! Meat sends Moonface out to find him what he loves most, and upon return performs unspeakable acts. However, this story includes six people whose lives are forever changed by happening to stumble into one another. At the wrong place. At the wrong time.
I felt Moonface was an awesome little novella filled with blood and guts! I only would have liked to see more about Moonface. There was a lot of mystery there, but maybe that leaves an open door for Moonface to pop up in McHardy’s upcoming works.
I give Moonface by Simon McHardy four stars out of five stars. The novella was great, and I particularly loved the Dirty Daniel segment! I only would have liked to see more Moonface. What drives him, what happened to him, what is wrong with him. Other than that it is great. I definitely recommend it to Splatterpunk fans!
Wow what a fucked up, brutal, intense, and gory read. Simon McHardy is one of the best in the game at bringing the violence, gore, and depravity to the stories he writes. Moonface was just as awesome as everything else that McHardy has written all triggers are present in this one. If you are into extreme horror with a very depraved and dark sense of humor that will disgust you then check out Simon McHardy you won't be disappointed.
Now this . . . McHardy really pushed the bounds of what people can tolerate with this offering. The author has certainly got the touch for writing some of the most messed-up horror out there. It feels like each new release from McHardy is a test. Everyone has a line that once crossed is too far, and with this author, he's going to help you find it. I loved every minute of this read.
Moonface is a horrible person with a horrible dad doing horrible things to horrible people, and if you like horrible things you will like this story.
If you read the history books you will see that in the olden days porno movies weren’t just about two people shagging in a room. They had plots! Eventually the plots were deemed irrelevant, and were banished from porno movie practice.
Simon McHardy’s Moonface shows a similar evolutionary process underway within the torture porn genre. This is not to say that the plot has totally vanished; Moonface still has a plot, and boasts developed characters with perverse and often hilarious qualities. It’s also got some very witty dialogue. Nevertheless, the focus of this story is squarely placed on graphic scenes of murder, rape, and mutilation. These are the core of the work, the artful vignettes of atrocity upon which the whole edifice is mounted. To that extent, Moonface reads like a gleefully vile fusion of Sadean perversion and Ozploitation atmos.
Recommended for gorehounds and profoundly jaded fans of mortuary humor.
So that just happened lol. I love this author and know it'll be sick and disgusting and I was right. Every character in this was vile although a tiny part of me felt bad for Moonface a really teeny tiny part thought awww bless him he knows no different but the rest of me just thought he was a disgustingly awful product of Meat his outrageously hung and vile daddy... Not gonna lie I winced and crossed my legs a couple of times.
Simon McHardy may be my favourite extreme author. I think of him as the master of Gore grind/ Gore-core lit. His stories trim all the fat and get straight to the point of why we read extreme Horror. He masterfully structures the story so that enough characterization is discivered through set ups to heavy as fuck scenes that rub your face in the carnage till you stink of the stank of it all. A brutal and amazing short read. I would love to read a Novella telling Meat and Moons backstory
Simon McHardy hasn’t yet let me down! Another rollercoaster of body horror and endless gore. I just wish it was longer! A prequel about Meat in his younger days wouldn’t go amiss either…
Some of the scenes in this Novella were awesome. Such as the opening chapter. But ultimately it didn't really capture my attention because there was very little to tie the different scenes in the story together, and the characters were not fleshed out enough for me.
Simon McHardy really relishes writing about a-holes getting ripped new a-holes--and other holes. And Somehow, even with an e-book, every turn of the page feels sticky. This one finds us feeling a bit bad for a fugly mofo named Moonface whose dad is a really big dick with a really big dick. Paired nicely with a couple of way-too-kinky ladies who you wouldn't want to meet on Match.com, you may need to take a couple of quick breaks to digest or regurgitate what the hell you just read. A little darker and only slightly less gonzo than Mother Maggot and Gob & Nob, McHardy literally and figuratively crams as much into as few pages as possible here that a writer with lesser skill would need a multi-book series to accomplish. To reveal much more would ruin the experience even more than the many ruined orifices left in this writer on the rise's wake. You might find yourself walking a little funny for few days, but Moonface is worth the reaming.
This was such a wild ride!! It's a short story and I definitely felt it could have been longer.. well wish it was longer! But my god moon face is a creepy character!! Really gave me the creeps!! Would love to see a longer story involving him.
