About the author

Some of my favorite stories began long before I ever wrote a book. They started on hiking trails, inside quiet caves, around campfires, and in the moments that make you wonder what history has forgotten and what still waits beyond the horizon.

I grew up between Minnesota and the Gulf Coast of Florida, where my imagination was shaped by the ocean, ancient legends, and an endless curiosity about the unknown. That curiosity eventually became the Atlantis Chronicles, a science fiction adventure series that explores lost civilizations, mysterious worlds, hope, and humanity's search for a new home. I also write thrillers for readers who enjoy suspense, secrets, and stories that keep them turning pages late into the night.

There are plenty of books about Atlantis, but very few dare to ask a completely different question: what if Atlantis wasn't the beginning of history... what if it was the consequence of humanity's future?

That idea alone pulled me in.

Atlantis: The Once and Future Kingdom blends epic science fiction with ancient mystery in a way that feels both imaginative and surprisingly emotional. Rather than relying on nonstop action, it takes time to build a world where hope, sacrifice, exploration, and love all matter just as much as the mystery itself.

What I enjoyed most was the sense of discovery. Every chapter feels like it's leading you toward a truth that's much bigger than the characters realize, and the ending leaves you eager to continue the Atlantis Chronicles.

If you enjoy stories about lost civilizations, space exploration, speculative science fiction, and adventures that make you wonder "what if?", this is absolutely worth picking up. I'm looking forward to seeing where the trilogy goes next.

I really liked Atlantis: The Once and Future Kingdom. I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect going into a book that mixes a futuristic space colonization mission with time travel and the myth of Atlantis, but Jason Meyer actually balances it all really well.The story moves fast right from the start when the mission hits a massive natural disaster, throwing the characters into total survival mode. What kept me hooked was how the plot spirals into the past and introduces all these wild, unexpected elements, like sword fights and pirates, on top of the sci-fi backdrop. Underneath all the big action and time-bending mysteries, there’s also a really sweet, grounding love story that gives the book a lot of heart.It’s a pretty quick read at around 163 pages, so it leaves a lot of questions open for the rest of the trilogy, but it’s a super creative start to the series. If you like fast-paced sci-fi with a unique historical twist, you'll definitely enjoy this one.

I had a hard time putting it down and didn't want it to end. This is a book for all ages and no matter if you like science fiction or not it is a must read. I hope there is another one.
