This is a marvelous introduction and 'dive' into this lovely complex country.
It is readable but not necessarily the type of book you read cover to cover.
The index is complete and helpful. The pictures are current and often better than the hasty tourist's quick snapshot.
The language and style are up-to-date and at times injected with some savvy wit. I like that there's a history of the country, cities, and info on culture.
I would recommend finding the latest version of this helpful little book whether you are planning a trip or making some sense of the whirlwind sites you visited on your bucket-list trip.

a Nice, easy to read book with lots of great ideas for exploring Spain rather than just sit on a beach. This country has so much history go and enjoy it.

I love the pictures and the historical information but the format is cumbersome for locating individual entries. This is why this needs to be readdressed in a subsequent editions.
