From wedding plans to revenge plots, and to finding love again…
Three Brides, No Groom
When three friends meet again at their fifteen-year class reunion, they reveal that their lives have taken unexpected directions.
Back in their college days, Gretchen Wise had been engaged to a top law student. Carol Furness, head cheerleader, had said yes to the school’s football hero. And Maddie Cobain was the girl who’d fallen for a professor.
Now the three of them gather where promises were made…and broken. As the women reconnect, they share stories of disappointment, rediscovery and, finally, new love…
BONUS: An Alaskan Wedding by Jennifer Snow

CONTENT: This one is clean, but in the end it is VERY pushy. I am not going to go into detail for this one. Language is a bit harsh when used, but it's not used very often.
Three friends meet up at their 15 year reunion. All were engaged in college but all married someone else. Each tell their stories about who they ended up marrying. Bonus story at end which gives the book the 4 brides title.
Three Brides, No Groom - The story of 3 friends - Gretchen, Carol, and Maddie. Gretchen falls in love with Josh but he leaves on a Harley. Carol loves a football player who dumps her and then she ends up with the nerd Clark. He tells her to take the teaching job in Alaska so they are done. Then Maddie likes John the professor but he uses her to solve a math problem. She ends up loving Brent. But she covers for him and doesn’t tell him the truth so he leaves. Now they are all at their class reunion and who do they end up marrying? Read to find out though I assume you can figure it out after the first few lines of the story!
An Alaskan Wedding - Not a Debbie Macomber book. A small short story by another author. Nothing exciting. Aurora loves Tyler but she ran away from him years ago. Now she is going to meet up with him again...you guessed it! They fall back in love....I thought about quitting but figured I should just finish although I knew the ending right away.
This was the perfect light, not heavy in any way book got a vacation. Classic movie romance stories without being too deep in the romance genre.
The story of three women who went to college together, reunited after their 15yr reunion, revealing that their lives didn’t go in the direction anyone had thought. The end has a twist, but in my opinion a very predictable one. Would’ve been more interesting if it had had a different ending, but if you’re looking for a fairytale happily ever after ending then this is your book.
And for the short story in the back: I think short stories are hard. Just not enough time to get invested in the characters, get to know them or really care. It was a nice story but I felt nothing more than I do when reading a quick blurb on an informational sign at a museum or in a city park.
Oh this book was just completely silly. It’s a Lifetime Movie in paper format. So many things about it were ridiculous but at the same time you couldn’t help but be sucked in.
Three college acquaintances meet up at their 15 year college reunion and learn that all three broke their ill-gotten college engagements after being wronged by each scoundrel. Obviously they each find their true love in the least expected places.
Cue the swelling music and cheesy voiceovers!
Fun for summer as long as you set your expectations accordingly. 2.5 rounded up.
The first 3 brides telling each of their stories had me hooked! I want to know more...what happened at the reunion? What lead up to everything we found out before the reunion? (Don't want to spoil it). Please tell me there is more to their stories!! The Alaskan Bride feels like there needs to be more written, it was a tease of what will happen next.
I got this book at a free book library at the park. I really enjoyed it! I loved the three different stories and how they overcame heartbreak and fell in love with a man they never thought they would be with. Super cute and light romance. Perfect read to get me in my wedding mood for my upcoming wedding!
3.25 Stars this is a collection of three stories by Debbie Macomer. and an add-on Story by Jennifer snow. my favorite of the stories by Debbie Mavomer was three Brides.
I thought it was the most thought out of the stories. I liked how there was a cast built out around the main character. I also like the way the main character is spontaneity played into the stoty.
Somewhat entertaining. Plenty of head-scratching moments for the reader to ask just how dumb can some people be. Do her editors really miss all the details or does she just ignore them when they suggest changes?
College friends meeting up for class reunion and catching up on mister wrong guys they were going to marry. But found Mister perfect who kinda bad or geek, scam you too.But in the end they found true love and happiness.Novella(An Alaskan Wedding by Jennifer Snow)all it takes a friends wedding to bring to lovers back together, even if it is long distance
I really liked this one. I won't spoil it for other readers but this was a good one. Maybe one of her bests. I love her stories that involves friends and especially women who go thru things that we all face and the friendships they discover together.
I loved this book. Although it was a bit predictable, each character was believable. I like t he author's sense of story and. ability to weave the plotlines.
Good read. When I was first getting into it. I was shocked at how the story played out, but if you stick through it you will get the happy ending you want. I enjoyed this short read.
