In Saving Graces. Carol Stigger entertains with an exciting story following the Davidson family at the beginning of World War 2. Each member must decide on their part for the war effort. During the subsequent years, each finds their adventure, some never to return. Carol places us back when everything seemed simple, but as we see it is not, as each family member must accept their inevitable evolution. A great summer read at any time.
Touching story of everyday life during WWII. Everyone made sacrifices and tried to help each other wherever possible. Ladies wore gloves and didn't have money for stockings. Families suffered the angst of sons being sent off to war. I am a fan of historical fiction, especially the French resistance, and this novel includes a whole section of this. I highly recommend this book.
