Lumberjack's Baby was a decent, easy read. We follow our MC Axel whom is a single father. He meets our other MC Sam whom is escaping an abusive relationship dynamic. What makes this unique is that Axel isn't the baby's bio dad. He was part of a MC club... a man there handed him this baby and ran. HOWEVER, the mc president told him to "get rid of the baby." Axel didn't listen, clearly, and this book is his journey from there.
I'd definitely read others by this author.

This was a good read. Axel is a single father just trying to take care of his daughter. He meets Sam who is running from an abusive relationship. Both of them have to deal with their issues. Thankfully they have each other. Plus in the end they get their happy ending.

Outstanding read couldn’t put it down
2 1/2 years ago Axle got the shock of his life. After a night of partying hard with the Overtakers motorbike club. He liked to party hard and finish the night off with a random woman who knew it was just for the night. But that morning Axle was woke by someone banging at his door. The man handed him a baby. Informing him that his daughter had died in a car accident leaving him the child but he couldn’t handle her so as her father he was giving Abby to Axle. And the man ran So he couldn’t get the baby handed back to him
Axel had never even held a baby but as he got ready to feed her and he took a real good look at her he could see straight away that she was his. She had the most amazing blue eyes and he knew he would protect her in his life. But when he went to speak to the President of the MC Theo, Axel was told to get rid of the child. Axel knew leaving the MC would put him and Abbey in danger but he had to try. So he ran and now 2 1/2 years later he had his amazing little girl, they lived in peace. He was a lumberjack, he was a furniture maker he grew his own fruit and veg just to give Abby the best life, that she deserves. But he was always looked over his shoulder he knew they would find him one day.
Samantha was also on the run from an abusive eX and her parents didn’t understand her. They knew that Isaiah had hit her and how controlling he was but they still wanted her to marry him and not embarrassed her family. So she ran, got in her car and headed to a grandmother Mama Lee who they didn’t know that she still spoke to. When she got to a grandmothers she met Abby who was so sweet and bright and just Utterly gorgeous. Her grandmother was teaching Abby and taking care of her when her dad worked. And when she met her dad oh her heart did a bit of a leap Axle was absolutely handsome, he was a mountain of a man.
Could Something happened between these two??? Would the MC find Axle and Abby??? would Isaiah and her parents find Sam????
This is a fantastic read I was totally hooked. The change in Axel from that drinking partying sleeping around man to now the adorable father who will do anything for Abby. Nothing was too hard, he was there for her always. And let me tell you now Abby is the cutest little thing. And Sam is quite sassy and feisty in a really good way. i thought she was going to be a spoiled brat when you start reading about her but really she’s a level headed woman. Who will do anything to protect the ones she cares for. Sam's Relationship with her grandmother is lovely. Sam has dreams of her own but together Axle and same just click everything feels right. And together they make new dreams
A great read I can see me reading this book again and again

Finding Family . . .

Axel Summers belonged to the Overtakers MC but walked out on them when he discovered he had a daughter. The club was not a life for his little girl. He moved to Grizzly Falls. An older lady, Leslie Swanson, who went by Mama Lee, takes care of Abby while Axel is working, and the arrangement has worked out well.

Samantha (“Sam”) has a controlling family and was physically abused by her ex-fiancé, Isaiah, so she flees to her Grandma's (Mama Lee) to get away from him and her controlling parents who want her to come back to Isaiah because he is sorry! He had already gotten her fired by constantly calling her work to be sure she was really there. Her father also insisted she come home immediately because he had told Isaiah she would marry him. But Sam had never agreed to marry him in the first place!

When Axel arrived to drop off Abby, he saw Sam’s Bentley and immediately had a bad impression of a rich, spoiled kid. She was still asleep, Mama Lee said, so he would come back early this evening to meet her. Sam came down and met Abby, then went for a run. She heard whitewater nearby in the fast-moving river. She decided to jog by the river, but her jogging caused her phone to slip off her arm band and fall into the water. It was floating in a waterproof case, so she went down to retrieve it. She was knocked off her feet and couldn’t get up to move out of the freezing water and she was being pushed toward the rapids.

Axel had taken buckets to get water from the river for trees he had planted. He heard a scream and knew she would go over the falls. He raced to that spot under the falls and finally felt her arm, pulling her to shore. When he finally got her breathing again, she opened her eyes, called him her angel, and passed out. Who was she? Where had she come from? He would take her home and get help, and hopefully some answers.

Will this be the start of something between them? There are many other problems coming their way. But having each other and their family to fight for just might be enough for them to find a HEA for themselves.

I enjoyed reading K.C. Crowne’s Lumberjack’s Baby. It is the second book in her Lumberjacks of Grizzly Falls series. In this book readers meet two dynamic lead characters—Samantha “Sam” Swanson and Axel Summers. She is a 25-year-old beauty fleeing the clutches of an abusive and overbearing boyfriend. He is a former MC biker who left the fold of his club when he became a father. Both lead characters are multi-layered. They are strong and independent yet vulnerable. Both are searching for a new life but are plagued and pursued by the secrets of their past. Can they overcome the threat of their secrets? Will they find happiness together? You must read this book to discover how their plights intersect.
Once again, Ms. Crowne penned a well-written romantic suspense story. Her skill in developing such intriguing and likeable lead characters and supporting characters is remarkable. I liked how Ms. Crowne pivots an overprotective, alpha male (Axel) with a strong and independent woman (Samantha). I thought it was a nice touch to add little three-year-old Abby, and a caring, loving, and independent grandmother type character in Mama Lee. Doing so sets the stage for a new family model for our lead characters. I enjoy how she infuses the themes of loyalty, family, and love into her plot. Readers get to witness several definitive examples of each leading them to come up with their own definition as they witness Axel and Samantha’s journey. Ms. Crowne’s use of authentic conversational and internal dialog moves her plot along. Speaking of plot, Ms. Crowne successfully weaves several subplots together to create this romantic suspense tapestry. The first is Axel and Sam’s romantic journey. The second involves Axel coming to terms with his life as a vital part of an MC and they way he left. The last involves Sam’s relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Isaiah. He is obsessive, nasty, and abusive. He possesses a skewed philosophy relative to the purpose of a wife. One wherein the woman is a submissive and “obedient” wife. I applaud Ms. Crowne’s writing style which drew me into this delightful story. Way to go, Ms. Crowne!

This story is absolutely fantastic! Alex is a single father, living in a cabin on the mountain with his young daughter Abby. Alex is all about raising his daughter and teaching her about kindness, nature and wildlife. He is a lumberjack, woodworker and furniture maker. When he is working Abby goes down to Mama Lee’s and she teaches her reading and writing. Mama Lee is a retired school teacher. Alex is big and brawny. His size is intimidating. He is in the woods and hears screams for help. He takes off running and sees a woman going over the waterfall and runs to try and save her. He administers CPR and brings her to his cabin while she recovers. He finds out the woman is Mama Lee’s granddaughter, Samantha “Sam”. Sam escaped to Mama Lee’s to get away from her parents and ex fiancee. Sam feels an intense connection to Alex and she also feels the warmth between them. Sam is so good hearted and you will fall in love with her. She has dreams and goals and she shares them with Mama Lee and Alex. Alex is very cautious of new people but he feels a connection with Sam. Alex does not get involved with woman but he enjoys spending time with Sam. What will happen? Will they get involved? Will There are complex issues the characters deal with which make it a really interesting, page-turning, explosive read. This is just a super read - a very well developed story with original and unique characters that will grab your heart. You get a little of everything in this book - passion, loyalty, protection, friendship, family drama, danger, suspense and love of family, love of friends, the ultimate love of another. Alex is smoking hot, hunky, ex MC yet he is tender, caring, loving and passionate in what he believes and who he loves. Sam is in need of love, she is spunky, sweet, talented and lovable. You will love it!

Axel Summer's was a member of the Motorcycle Club Overtakers from a young child, when his father was vice-president. His mother left early on with his sister Jenny. One day this man stopped by Axel's house with a baby telling him that the baby was his and the mother had been killed in an accident. Axel did not know what he was going to do with a baby, but he was not given a choice and in a very short time he was in love with the child. Theo, the club pres told him to get rid of the kid, but he could not do it so he had to figure a way to get out of the club. You could not just leave the club, you had to escape. His friend, Mike helped him get a place in the mountains almost a day's ride away. He left Abby with sister, Jenny while he went a head getting things ready for them. They managed to stay almost three years near Grizzly Falls undetected until Mama Lee's granddaughter, Samantha Swanson came to visit. Her ex-boyfriend had gotten abusive with her so she had wanted to get away from him and her controlling parents. The grandmother babysat and was pre-school teacher for three year old Abby, since she only lived aways up the mountain. Needless to say neither Axel or Sam wanted any strangers coming on the mountain anytime soon. There was an instant attraction between Axel and Sam that grew stronger each day, and they both knew the other was hiding something. This was a very action packed story with things happening on both sides to both Axel and Sam. There was no major violence as there was in the previous one at Grizzly Falls even though Viktor and Angela are in this book too.

Axel Summers grew up in the Overtakers. It was his life until the day Abby shows up. She's the newborn daughter he never knew existed. In order to raise her, Axel runs and they end up on the mountain in Grizzly Falls. Mama Lee watches and teaches his daughter during the day while he works.

Sam has an abusive fiance, Isaiah. She flees to her Grandmother, Mama Lee. She takes note of Axel when he drops off Abby. He is everything she didn't think she'd want. Axel meets her when he pulls a drowning Sam from the river. She captivates him but he can't get her involved in his life. He never knows when the Overtakers will find him.

MC men are in town and Axel is sure that they are from the club. To complicate things Isaiah knows where Sam is and he wants what's his. Can Axel and Sam find their peace?

The romance that develops between Axel and Sam is sweet but has heat. They are each bring a missing piece to the other. Together they create a family with Mama Lee and Abby, who is adorable. She has so much personality for a three year old. Back for support are Viktor and Angie from the first Lumberjack book. This book is a standalone but it is fun getting to know the members of the town. It does have a happy ending. Lumberjack's Baby by K.C. Crowne has interesting alpha men and women who stand up to whoever threatening them or their men. Fun read.

I this book we meet Samantha "Sam" Swanson and Axel Summers. Axel gets the surprise of his life when a guy shows up at his apartment after a night of partying. When he tells him that his daughter has died just recently and told him that the baby in his arms is Axel's. Axel has no clue what to do with a baby and the MC he lives in is no place for a child. When he looks into her eyes while feeding her though he knows he has found love. So he makes a decision and moves him and his daughter to the mountains after the MC tells him he has to choose either them or his daughter. For both their safety he goes into hiding. Sam is also on the run. When her now ex Isaiah hits her she is done. She lives not only her ex but her parents as well. She figures if they won't stand by her after he hit her then she doesn't want to stand by their decision for her life. When these two find out about one another they are both a little warry of the other but things happen that change each of their minds. Can these two find a HEA or will the people that were out to get them before they went on the run make that impossible?

This is another amazing story by this author. It will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Axel was living in the mountains of Grizzly Falls after fleeing from his MC when he found out he had a baby girl (Abby) when her grandfather showed up saying her mother was killed in a car accident and he want no parts of raising her, knowing he couldn’t raise her in the MC and wouldn’t be slowed to leave himself. 3 yrs later he made friends with his neighbors Viktor (and his family) and Momma Lee who homeschooled Abby while he worked. Always knowing that the MC would try to find him he mostly stayed up in the mountains. Momma Lees granddaughter (Sam)was on the run herself showing up after her controlling boyfriend hit her and she fled, hoping since her parents disowned her grandmother and didn’t know the two kept in contact she would be free. The attraction between Sam and Axel was instant and a quick bond was formed. Then bikers started showing up in town and Axel knew serious trouble was coming. To top it off Sams ex tracked her down and was threatening her. This story has a lot of danger and suspense as well as plenty of heat. You will be hooked wondering if their pasts would be more than they can out run. There are a few twists you don’t expect. Viktor’ story was told in a previous book from this series and all are very worth the read!

This book is the perfect read if you like a growly, brawny man and a woman who not only stands up to him, she gives as good as she gets. Former member of a MC, Axel has made a home in the mountains to protect his toddler daughter and himself from the clubs retribution. Now a skilled woodcrafter and living off the land as much as possible, Axel is floored by his neighbour’s beautiful granddaughter, Samantha (Sam), who has suddenly come to live with her grandmother. After he rescues her from nearly drowning, he finds he can’t stay away from her, even though he knows he should avoid the spoiled city girl. Since the attraction is mutual, and avoiding each other is impossible since her grandmother takes care of his daughter, Sam and Axel’s relationship turns much more intimate, (make that red hot and passionate). It soon becomes clear, however, that both have people from their pasts that are determined to cause trouble, trouble that could be visited on their loved ones as well. Axel is not a man to stand idle when the people he lives are threatened. Read this hot, sexy and thrilling book to discover how it ends.

Axel abruptly discovers he is the father of an infant baby girl when she is dumped into Axels arms and abandoned by her maternal grandfather. Axel immediately falls in love with Abby and wants to raise her but he can’t do it and remain in the MC, but he can’t just freely walk away so he flees. Sam is running from her demons. Her parents have promised her In marriage to a violent and domineering Deacon of their church, with him being such a dominant figure of the church no one believes her fears. Sam flees to Grizzly Falls to her Grandmother, Mama Lee who her father had disowned years ago. Mama Lee and Axel just happen to be neighbors. Axel and Sams journey is packed full of danger, drama, and romance, but the comical back and forth banter as the two extremely strong willed personalities work through their pasts that are threatening their futures. The chemistry between the two was off the charts! Can they work through their past issues in order to make a life for themselves and Abby in Grizzly Falls? This was one of those can’t put this down book! Just one more chapter!! 🤗 Another take me away story. Definitely recommend!

So this is one interesting story. So we meet Axel who is in an MC but one day everything changes for him. He decides that he needs out of the MC life to raise his daughter. Only the Pres of his club says no as well as other things. So he flees with his daughter and is in hiding. Now we all know that there is no other way to leave the club unless decided otherwise. So Axel is doing everything he can to keep his daughter safe. Then you have Sam who is fleeing her parents control because they think that they know what is best for her. Controlling who she dates or marries and just about everything else about her life. She is done with them and her ex. I don't blame her at all. So when she is staying with her grandma she meets the sexy as sin Axel. You can definitely feel the sizzle that starts with these two. It is funny how Sam is always being rescued by Axel. What a fate to have. Then there is trouble coming from the Axels old club and Sams crazy ex. What will happen? Who will rescue who this time? It gets pretty intense at the end? So will there be a happy ending? You need to check it out to find out.

Another fantastic story in this series. Axel has turned his life completely around when the daughter he never knew he had appeared on his door step. Whilst he had quite the colourful past he has completely changed his life now but that doesn’t stop his past coming back to haunt him, particularly when he disappeared without a trace. Sam has fled her home after her partner turned abusive towards her, and with her parents forcing her to still marry him she knew she needed to get away, so she fled to her grandmothers house in the mountains where she hoped no-one would find her. When Sam meets her grandmothers neighbour Axel, he is definitely not what she expected! There is an amazing chemistry between them but both are hesitant for various reasons. Soon however they give in to their feelings, but when trouble comes looking for both of them it, they soon realise they want more from their relationship, particularly when they find out some shocking news. A really great book, I loved the storyline and also the characters, they had an amazing connection. Loved their happily ever after!

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. I really enjoyed this book. It has just the right amount of drama, suspense, danger, lust and love. Axel and his young daughter have created a new life after running from his old MC. When Abby was first brought to him, they left him no choice but to run. They are settled in Grizzly Falls and he works with wood. Samantha is on the run and hiding from an abusive ex and horrible parents who think she should do what she is told. She goes to her grandmother, Mama Lee, in Grizzly Falls. Mama Lee also watches Abby for Axel. Their first meeting is when he saves her from the river and afterwards the sparks fly. The book is about finding love and protecting your family but is also a romance with a lot of heat between Sam and Axel. I am really looking forward to the next couple from Grizzly Falls. The stories can be read alone but have some connecting characters.

Sam escapes from an arranged marriage to a quite abusive lawyer/deacon to her grandmother’s place up in the mountains where she wants to set her life back on track.
Axel is a former citizen of an MC who fled when his prez refuses him to keep his baby daughter. He has managed to establish a quiet life in the mountains and Sam’s grandmother takes care of the little girl, Abby, while he does his job.
When Sam goes running next to the river near her grandma ‘s home she jumps after her phone which drops into the water and would have drowned had Axel not rescued her. He becomes her guardian angel but she also tries to help him improve his life situation... but read for yourselves, there’s lots of suspense thanks to their pasts and a romantic/alpha-neanderthal love story and a bit of a twist towards the end

Axel was a member of an MC club that his dad belonged to and he grew up in. He was never supposed to give it up or be able to leave. He had an unexpected delivery brought to his house really early one morning that changed his entire life. He had no choice but to leave the MC but unfortunately it wasn’t gonna be that easy, therefore he had to go incognito. Sam was from a wealthy family and had been dating a guy named Isaiah for 4 years. It was sort of an arranged type marriage. She didn’t love him, and wanted to leave several times but when he put his hands on her that was the last straw. She didn’t know where else to turn except for the grandmother that she was estranged from. That’s how these to met and create a bond like no other. Through all of the drama both of them bring to the love they share. This was an epic adventure!!!!

Once again KC has written a story that totally engaged me the thing that makes these stories is the characters and Axel is probably one of my favourites

Axel comes a cross as so rough and tough an ex biker who only left that world so he could give his daughter a great life but quick to judge other people, and he judges Sam all so wrong when he first hears about her. Axel leaves his daughter Abbie with Mama lee every day while he works and when he arrives one day and sees an expensive car and learns that Mama Lees granddaughter owns it and she is still in bed he is quick to judge her as a lazy rich kid What he doesn't know is that Sam has fled her abusive father a man who intends to marry her off to Isaiah who is equally abusive When she falls into the river and Axel rescues her he is curious who she is not realising she is the woman he has already written off Now with danger in the shape of her ex and his motorcycle club circling can he keep her safe.

Axel used to be a part of a MC club but he left to raise his daughter so now they live in the mountains of Grizzly Falls, Samantha, aka Sam, comes to the mountains to stay with her grandmother, Momma Lee, because she's running from her abusive ex-boyfriend. Axel pays Momma Lee to babysit Abby, his daughter, while he's working. He custom builds furniture and delivers wood. Sam is a writer of children's books and she's hoping to get them published.

Axel runs into trouble because Theo, the MC head, doesn't want him to leave the club even though he's been gone for three years. Sam runs into trouble from her ex, who comes to the mountain to claim "his" wife to be. The fact that she doesn't want to be claimed doesn't enter his head.

After some ups and downs for the both of them, they get their HEA.

Oh, the heat is HOT, and the physical chemistry is captivating so be careful you may just get burned all the heat coming off these pages. There were some "oh no" "oh wow" " what the what" moments and add in uncanny mishaps, and shenanigans the good kind that makes you keep turning the pages till last page has been turned. Axel this really big, strong sexy is brought to a stop by Abby his newborn daughter and to raise he leaves to live up in the mountains alone of course with the help of Mama Lee who he trusts to watch and teach his baby girl while working. Sam is running from an abusive fiancé straight to her grandmother, Mama Lee and she notices Axel when he drops Abby off each day. He saves her from drowning one day and really wants to get to know her more but the Overtakers are after him and he doesn’t want to get Sam involved. Will Axel find peace, and can he keep his girls safe?

One day Sam leaves her parents and ex fiancé and goes to her grandmothers which is Mama Lee to escape their controlling. They want him to marry her ex even though he abuses her. She goes jogging by the river and falls in when her phone fell in and she was trying to grab it. She gets swept towards the rapids and screaming when Axel hers her. He grabs her in time and drags her out and gets her breathing again. He takes her to Mama Lee and finds ur sees her granddaughter. He then finds out about her abusive ex and controlling parents and wants to protect her. As she’s there they get closer but what happens when her past comes for her?

Axel belongs to an MC until he learns that he is a father. He doesn't want to raise his daughter in that lifestyle but knows the only way out is a bad way. So he has a friend help him get a way with his daughter. He moves to Grizzly Falls and makes a home there for him and Abby. Samantha is tired of her family controlling her life so when her fiancé hits her she takes off to Mama Lee's place. When Axel meets Samantha sparks fly between them both fight their attraction but its not long before they give into temptation. But will their pasts tear them apart before they get a chance to be together?

This is a great story that will have you on the edge of you seat wondering what will happen next. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Doesn't read like a K C Crowne book

I have read quite a few of this author's books and enjoyed them. The Entire mountain men of Liberty series , and several others. This book, however, was not the quality of writing I've come to expect from her. Too many scenes in the book felt rushed and poorly developed. The parents sudden change of heart at the end of the book was highly unrealistic given the conversations between the characters throughout the story. The first sex scene left a lot to be desired, especially since the main character was losing her virginity (This scene was rushed through also). And, I'm usually not picky about this, but this is the first of her books I've seen that has multiple grammatical errors. It just interferes with the flow of the reading. I enjoyed the premise of the story and I enjoyed the characters. Just wish it had been written better.

Having a baby changes your life, being your told your a father and a baby dropped off to your doorstep is a life changer. For Axel his whole world was the MC, until he had to make a choice and that choice wasn't letting his daughter down. He didn't leave the MC on the best of terms and he waits out each day for when they find him. Sam is changing her life, le a Ving what she knew to be what she wants to be, along with an abusive boyfriend. But her past life might catch up with her on the mountain she has come to love. This is an exciting read with a storyline that pulls you in, really engaging characters and a HEA I didn't want to miss.

Axel loved his MC and the life he had but when he got the news he was a dad everything changed. Kids are not part of the MC lifestyle and Axel knew he had to make a decision that could cost him his life. Sneaking off and going off grid to raise his daughter was what he had to do with or without the support of his brothers. Samantha has just arrived in Grizzly Falls to spend some time with her grandmother and also to get away from her crazy ex. Now that some strangers are sniffing around town who could they be looking for, Sam or Axel? Will either survive their past? Entertaining read and great characters.

This book brings us Axel, Abby, Mama Lee and Sam. Axel was part of the Overtakers MC. He left when he found out he had a daughter, Abby and the MC life was something that he did not want to bring her up in. He moves to Grizzly Falls, and one of his neighbors, Mama Lee watches Abby while Axel works. Sam was abused by her ex, Isaiah so she flees to her Grandma's (Mama Lee) to get away from him and her parents. This is where she meets Axel. Sam was swept away in the river and Axel rescues her. This is the start of some great chemistry between the two of them. However, outside problems seem to get in their way. I loved how Mama Lee thought of Abby as her own, and I loved Mama Lee's spunk. This was a great read and I highly recommend it. I did receive an arc for an honest review.

LUMBERJACKS BABY by KC CROWNE is an exciting,intriguing,steamy with a bit of action and suspense to put you on edge while reading.a romance story of Axel and Abby..Axel is an ex MC member,single dad and a mountain man..Abby grew up in the city, a writer and came out to an abusive and maninupulating ex and went to her grandmother in the mountain.. the first time they met instant attraction but also Axel save Abby when he pull her out in the river the second time when her ex kidnapp her and tried to rape her but just the nick of time Axel and Viktor is there to save the day..a great story that you couldnt put it down,well done!

AHHHH!
Axel might have been a part of a MC; however, since he left and found out he had a darling daughter, Abby, he has had a new lease on life leaving the club. He moved to Grizzly Falls to start over with her and has made friends with Mama Lee, who has ended up taking are of Abby when he works. Another integral character is Sam, who was abused by the man she was engaged to marry. She was saved in more ways than one when she was saved Axel when she was swept away in the river. The characters and story are so compelling it’s almost impossible to put it down until the final word.
Definitely a recommended read!

Axel leaves his MC life to raise his baby girl. He has Mamma Lee, a neighbor, was his Abby while he's at work. Samis running from an abusive ex fiance and controlling parents to her Grandma's house in Grizzly Falls. Sam falls into the river trying to grab her phone and is being swept away towards the falls. Axel hears her scream and gets to her before she goes over. He takes her home and not only saves her life from drowning but saves her from abuse and being controlled. They have great chemistry together but is seems that outside forces are working against them. Will her past ever leave her alone? Will they get to build a family together? Highly recommend.
