Pg 99
"Do you suppose she has Siren magic?" I wonder out loud. A Siren was my initial thought when I first met Kit at that ridiculous dance I followed her to. Her earth-toned hair and honey-colored eyes caught me off guard. The music seemed to fade into the background when she made eye contact with me - only for a second though. Sirens are known for enchanting men, making then pause and become fools. Once in a while, when I'm least expecting it, and when Kits eyes meet mine, I feel that pause."
I found it hilarious how Peter thought Kit was a siren cause he didn't know why else he'd be stunned by her looks😂
Pg 194
"What if she doesn't want to come back with us?" Knox asks with his hand raised above him. He still has the habit of raising his hand like we are in school."
Pg 195
"We all know that as soon as the hour is up and I enter the playing field, they don't stand a chance.
"Am I allowed to be on your team?" Zig asks, earning him a smack around the back of the head from Walter"
I love Slightly. And Zig and Knox are hilariously adorable😂
Pg 193
"I turn back to the beach just in time to see Hook reach out and grab Kit by the wrist with his hook. He yanks her forward, and air leaves my body. Several of the boy's flinch. Knox is even quick enough to pull his crossbow out and take aim."
I also love how all the Lost Boys adopted Kit as another one of them. Taking care of her, keeping her company. Protecting her. They're all like protective brothers and I love it.
Pg 148
"His eyes stay on me, but he keeps fearfully glancing at the approaching clouds. There is no comfort in his voice, only panic. I think of the last storm I created when Peter was focused on me and held me until it was all over. It was as if we were the only two people on the island. He knew exactly what to do; he was confident he could calm me down. Even without his magic, the calmness in him was enough. He was grounded when I was out of control, and ur acted as my anchor when I needed it most. Now with Nibs, I feel like a freak of nature because he is too scared to even touch me."
Pg 151
"He pauses and equates his hook, forcing me to lift my chin more. I wish he would shut up, but I know better than to say that out loud. " The fire in his eyes when I threatened your life last time you were here; I had never seen anything like that in him before."
