Caitee: Two years ago, I wrote a letter to a hero for a class assignment, and he wrote back. I loved writing to Kip, so I kept doing it. And my heart smiled every time that he replied. His letters are so much more than words on paper. When Kip summons me to the Wylder Bluffs, I’m on my way in a heartbeat. Bad weather reports be damned. My parents can’t stop me; I’m a legal adult. But one thing can stop me—the worst Idaho snowstorm in fifteen years. Now, I’m counting on kismet to get me to Kip.
Kip: After we rescued almost 200 people from a coal-seam fire disaster, the letters poured in. But one letter touched me someplace deep. I couldn’t say it was love—she was too young, too innocent. I knew we were kindred souls. Now Caitee’s nineteen, and going through a confusing time. I’m thinking it’s harmless to invite her to come here. Until I lay eyes on my precious girl for the first time. She’s mine, and I want her to stay.
Hi! I’m a mama of four living my dream writing romance out in the country with the love of my life! I’m a busy bee like you, so writing & reading short romance is my jam. I hope each of my stories makes you smile, makes you sigh, makes you...swoon. ;) Most of all I hope you reach “The End” feeling ever-inspired and optimistic. With me, it’s always safe, steamy & sweet, with happily-ever-afters guaranteed!
My new favourite in this series! Caitee writes a letter to an unknown fireman as an English assignment. Kip is lucky enough to receive the letter and then respond. This is the start of their pen pal relationship. It couldn’t become more as Kip is 13 years older than Caitee. Or could it? This was an awesome read with lots of emotion. The characters felt a connection from the first letters and it grew with each letter. The chemistry when they finally met was hot and sizzling. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Aww my God! This was awesome! So freaking cute! So sweet and so sexy! I loved the letters! And Kip was the sweetest, sexiest, most perfect guy! Caitee and Kip were so cute together, even before meeting in person. I would have liked it a bit longer. Maybe 1 or 2 chapters more.
I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
Caitee was seventeen when she started writing to a member of the Wylder Fire and Rescue Department all part of an English assignment thanking them for such dedication and bravery they show each and every day. She never expected a response even though she hoped for one and so started a friendship that has grown and grown throughout the past two years. So when she recognises that her feelings for him are now way more than just friendship and that her relationship is going nowhere and never will because the person she does want is in Wylder’s Bluff. So when Kip invites her she decides now is the time to seize the day, so she packs her guitar and off she goes in search of true love. But when the snowstorm that was meant to be hours away descends early will she make it to meet the man that she has fallen for through his words and has never seen?
Kip works as a volunteer fireman and also works for the family bakery business, h thought that he was content in his life when out of the blue he receives a letter from Caitee thanking him for being a hero, there is something in her writing which causes him to respond and soon he is looking forward to every letter that she sends and his feelings are coming to be way more than just a friendship, it has been two years and even though he has never even seen a photo of her he just knows that she is the one for him, although he worries about the age difference with him being thirteen years older and wonders if h should move on. That is until he hears she is now single and invites her to Wylder’s Bluff, will she come and could this be his forever?
I really really enjoyed this book loved the dynamic between Kip and his brothers and how sweet he was with Caitee. Recommended read but I do love my instalove stories and Tarin Lex always delivers for me. 4* Read.
Kip is the second book in the Wylder Fire Volunteers series and it is a great mix of sweet, romantic and spicy hot. The story is about Kip Rutherford and Caitee Taylor. It starts after the first book, Dex, ends and all with one little letter. Caitee is seventeen and her English class is assigned to write a letter to a "Hero" of the big fire that engulfed a mining town. The firefighters of the Wylder Bluff Fire Department divvy up the letters that are not addressed to anyone personally and so Kip takes his bundle with him with him after he is off shift one morning. As he usually does he heads to his family's bakery, Sawtooth Sweets, located in the small mountain town of Stanbery, Idaho, that he runs with his three brothers, Dierks, Walker and Miles. As he is reading the letters there is one that sings to his heart so he decides to write back. Thus Caitee and Kip become pen pals. Over the next two years Kip and Caitee continue to write back and forth, never doing social media, never exchanging pictures, even though they keep saying they are going to, and always sharing something they do not tell others. There is something there for each of them that they cannot put into words and so maybe the time is right to finally share more and get each other.
This story is just wonderfully romantic and old fashioned while at the same time being dirty smexy. I enjoyed the glimpses into Kip's brothers and parents and Caitee's family. The way that they build a friendship and relationship slowly through letters is sweet and charming. But then add in a snowstorm, some heart pounding moments and some sizzling long simmering passion and you end up with a very enjoyable story.
The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! By the time you’ve figured out who is who and how deep hate can run, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter! Can’t say I didn’t warn you. (Believe me when I say you won’t put it down until the last page is read…you will find yourself getting upset cause someone called, texted or bothered you while reading this one, you will find yourself up at ungodly hours just to finish it knowing you have to be at work early (like 3am early) the very next day) YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! Kip is a sexy volunteer firefighter much older man get a letter from a student as an English assignment and he responded. Caitee is a student given an English assignment and she writes to Kip and they become pen pals two years later they are still writing friends and know more about each other than a little bit. There is a connection between them even in the letters and as the years pass the connection gets stronger. She decides to surprise him with a visit and ate decides to help them out allowing a storm to head her way and yep guess who her rescuer will be, will he get to her in time and can they have happiness?
Kip is at work with his brothers, while going through the mail he came across a letter from a student. Her name Caitee and she was writing to say Thank you for the service the firefighters do. Kip wrote her back. After two years writing back and forth they know each others in and out. The good bad and well everything in between. Their feelings grew and Caitee decided to travel to see Kip. While traveling she pulls her car over because the roads are getting bad. Not knowing what she's doing to do, a truck pulls up I help Caitee. The driver knows who she is and where she is ping because they are Kips parents. They take her to his house. Once there they are both thrilled to finally meet and be together. Things seem to move fast but they have know each other. Since they always wrote letters to one, she wrote him a letter to tell him about how their future is about to change. The best thing she did was write that letter and moved the Kip.

Kip, the second novella in Tarin Lex's Wylder Fire Volunteers series, is a lyrical friends-to-lovers age gap romance. Seventeen year old Caitee writes a letter to the Wylder Fire Department after the team makes a daring, news-worthy rescue, as part of a class assignment. She never expects a letter in response, but when Kip is the one to read Caitee's note, he cannot help but respond. Over the next two years, the letters continue; and despite a thirteen year age difference and neither ever exchanging any pictures, they both start to fall for one another. Finally, Caitee's wanderlust takes her to Kip's front door, and once they meet, it is clear that their hearts and souls knew one another long before they shared the same physical space. This is an incredibly sweet and steamy instalove you won't be able to put down.

This is a short story about one of the gorgeous men of the Wylder Bluffs fire volunteers. Besides being the volunteers firefighter, Rip also runs the family business, Sawtooth Sweet, with his three brothers. That his where he received a letter from a 17 year old girl, Caitee, thanking him and the other firefighter who rescue everyone from that terrible fire in the mine and she called them the true hero’s of the day. Now after two years of writing back and forth to Caitee, Rip realizes that he enjoys writing to Caitee and receiving her letters and would miss her very much if she would stop. So Rip invited Caitee to Wylder Bluff, when she finally broke up with her boyfriend, arriving with the on set of a terrible snowstorm. What does this visit mean for both Kip and Caitee. I am volunteering to leave a ARC review of this book.
This is book 2 of a mountain man/firefighter series, can be read as a stand-alone. Kip is a volunteer firefighter who owns a bakery with his family. One day he gets a letter from a young girl thanking him for being a hero. He writes Caitee back and a friendship develops as the years past. That friendship turns into something deeper without them ever meeting. What will happen when they finally connect? This story is so heartwarming! I love the slow development of sharing their lives with Kip being respectful and holding back his feelings - awww! I like it for the descriptive details, likable characters, humor and chemistry between the lovely musician Caitee and the protective baker Kip. Very entertaining!

A super sweet sometimes numerous read as Kip's brothers make fun of him writing letters to Caitee. It all started, when Caitee had to write a letter to the Wylder Bluffs Fire Department after the big fire that trapped so many people and the firemen managed to rescue them. Her letter was one that Kip got in the divide, since she requested a reply he sent a letter back. They continued to write letters even with the hugh age difference. After two years he invited her to visit sometime, but she came during one of the seasons predicted worst storms. Good thing his parents found her along the road, and that was only the beginning of many crazy things she did.

I have to say, this was definitely a Beautiful and Sexy Read. Especially, when you your able to see previous characters and see what happens beyond there love story.
Kip and Caitee brings a hot and wonderful chemistry to the mix. I did get a little confused on all the variations of nicknames. But it all comes down to their chemistry and the love they have together.
Oh, although I love both, and to weigh in on the debate of Dog vs Cat... Dogs Rule...Cat are Cool

Penpal for life! This is about Kip and Caitee. This is a short story but very cute it is about a firefighter who loves to read all of the hero letters that they receive. Note that this is an older man/younger woman story, but nicely done. Appreciation letters are the best especially when there are either from younger individuals who are admiring something that they would wish to do in the future.
Caitee, writes her letter to them as part of a class assignment, she is 17 at the time. She asks to be written back so Kip obliges and they continue their pen pal status for two additional years. At 19, Caitee is determined to meet her firefighter. The story is great with a very happy ending.

First things first; I like the cover of this book! Kip is the second book in the ‘’Wylder fire volunteers’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. After a big event, Kip and his fire team get letters of adoration. When he gains a pen pal, will he find love with her? The chemistry between Kip and Caitee is clear to see and I liked them together. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.
This is the second book in the series Wylder Fire Volunteers. He is older than her, but age is nothing in these days. She is an English student with an assignment to write to him. This is an actual paper letter, not an email or text or message of any electronic type. These two keep this up between them for a few years, learning more about the other than other could possibly know. She decides she wants to meet him in person. Does she have the nerve to actually go and meet up with him? What would his reaction be if that happened?

A simple letter of thanks, turns in a friendship that grows into more. Kip was reading letters that has been received at the fire station, when one caught his eye. Caitee had to write a letter for class, but the honest and carefree words struck something with Kip that he replied. Two years later, the still continued to write, until one day Kip ask her to visit and Caitee decided to go.
This is fun and delightful story, I love the letters they wrote back and forth to each other and how fate brought them together via his parents, warmed my heart.

Kip, a volunteer fire fighter, has been letter writing with Caitee sight unseen. Caitee has been grateful for the heroes that fire fighters are. As Kip and Caitee get closer, she feels that it is time to meet Kip after two years of writing. Caitee ventures out in bad weather and soon gets rescued by an older couple who Caitee learns are Kip's parents. This is a fast read of two people who don't pretend they are someone else in their letter writing. They know that they can make it in this world with the love they have for each other. This is book #2 in the "Wylder Fire Volunteers" series. Enjoy!
Caitee is writing a letter to a “hero” for a school project. Kip is the recipient of this letter. He was touched. Caitee and Kip continued their letter writing. What will happen to the two of them? Each of these characters felt a connection. What will happen. With every letter each of their personalities, hopes, dreams is expressed. It is a great story - original, unique, entertaining. It is filled with warmth and love and sweetness. I hope you will read this story because it is so-o-o good. You won’t be disappointed!

The concept in the story is well written. I love this author. My all-time pet peeve as usual is the age gap because the female in this case has not even reached 18. It’s a school assignment for high school and do not expect to be penpals but that’s what ended up happening. No cliffhanger. I’m pretty sure all the other reviews are ecstatic about the joining of this love story. I like the content that was written which is why the four-star is there. But truthfully I would rather the age gap of the young female to be older. At least three years in a college writing assignment versus high school.

Kip and Caitee become pen pals after an awful fire that kip was at. They kept at the letters consistently for 2 years until Kip finally invites her to come to him. As soon as she got the letter she got in her car and went to him. As soon as Kip sees Caitee, he immediately knows that she is his and that she is meant to be with him. Ugh I cant get over how much I loved this story! I will be reading this one over and over again!

Another amazing book by an amazing author that will leave you want and craving more from Tarin. She’s always been one of my favorites and this book just proves the perfection that is written by this author. The love between Kip and Caitee started off innocent but the heart wants what the heart wants. There is not fighting and when they finally meet you hear the hearts swoon and feel them fall deeper in love. Definitely not a book you’re going to want to miss out on!

She wrote a letter to the fireman who helped me with a horrible fire. Her letter spoke to him and he kept it and wrote her back. For 2 yrs letters to each other and he invited her there when she felt the need to to get away. She talked to her parents and left and a bad storm was coming. She was hoping to beat it but didn't and guess who came to her rescues when she got scared and pulled over....lol his parents and they took her to him. She never went back home, she was already home.

This is a quick read about pen pals to more. Caitee writes to Kip, a volunteer firefighter for an English assignment. Two years later they’re still writing, when Caitee decides to surprise him with a visit. No spoilers, so grab your copy to see what happens. Even though this is a short read, we still get a satisfying story.

Opening Act. Great story. Kip receives a letter from a young woman thanking him for doing what he does as a firefighter. Caitee only wrote the letter as part of her English assignment and is excited when he writes her back. This goes on for a while, back and forth, and they fall in love. But, what happens with Caitee tries to outrun a huge snowstorm to get to him? Welcome back to Wylder Bluffs.

I loved this book! Another sweet story with a Wylder Bluffs man and this time it's Kip. It all stars with a letter thanking an anonymous hero. He will keep them to himself as they are the highlight of his day. It will be the highlight of his life when the writer, whom he has become pen pals with, shows up at his door and brings him the love his life was missing.

This is the second book of this series but you can read it without reading the first one. I will not call this an instant love romance because the couple pen pal each other for 2 years before they meet on person. This is a short fast pace story that you can read in one seat and the couple is soo cute! I highly recommended.
