Emelia: I married a man with the best heart and soul on Earth. Or so I thought. Eighteen months later, we were divorced. Or so we thought. Now he’s asking me to finish what I assumed was already signed and sealed. In my mind, it was already done. So why is it so hard to do it again?
Fox: I’ll never stop loving Emelia. I loved her so much I let her go. Two years on, I’m ready to buy my first house, but I can’t find our divorce decree. Because there isn’t one. Due to a clerical error, the judge never entered it into the docket. We were too busy and emotional to realize it hadn’t been finalized. Maybe deep down we both knew it wasn’t over. If I tell her why I really called off our marriage, can she find it in her heart to forgive me?
Hi! I’m a mama of four living my dream writing romance out in the country with the love of my life! I’m a busy bee like you, so writing & reading short romance is my jam. I hope each of my stories makes you smile, makes you sigh, makes you...swoon. ;) Most of all I hope you reach “The End” feeling ever-inspired and optimistic. With me, it’s always safe, steamy & sweet, with happily-ever-afters guaranteed!
Its too short and something about it just felt off. It wasn't romantic at all. A sex scene another couple chapters and it took about 15 minutes to read. It was just silly. He wanted a divorce so he could shield her from his dementia, if he ever got it. Wtf? Seriously. I don't even know why they went back.and.filed again. They just had sex and they still loved each.other. it was just off. Again too short.
In the shower. Fantastic story. Fox finds out that he’s still married, to the love of his life, because of a clerical error. He still loves Emelia and doesn’t want to end their marriage but he thought he was doing the right thing for her. Emmy still loves Fox but doesn’t understand why he wanted to end their marriage in the first place. When Emmy does find out the reason she is furious with him for making the decision for her. Can the two of them work things out and stay together? Welcome back.

This story was freaking awesome 😍😍😍 It made me fell all sort of things. It was sweet, romantic, totally safe, steamy and had a beautiful HEA in the end. 😍😍😍😍Fox wanted to get a divorce 2 years prior but never mentioned to Emilia why. But fate had other ideas.... this story really made me swoon, made me sad, angry and everything in between. 🥰🥰🥰 They were their one and only... DV❤❤❤
Fox and Emilie thought they were divorced two years ago but just found out that they’re still married. They both still love each other but is the hurt too much to put aside and try again? This was an awesome read with lots of emotions. You can feel the connection and emotions between them which pulls you in and has you rooting for them. A must read. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I went into Fox: An Already Married Second Chance Romance expecting a full-length book with depth, emotional payoff, and at least a touch of realism. Instead, I got 44 pages of rushed storytelling and underdeveloped characters that left me frustrated.
The premise had so much potential—exes discovering their divorce was never finalized and being forced to confront their unresolved feelings. But instead of exploring the emotional complexities of such a scenario, the story skips over the angst and conflict that could have made it compelling. Emelia, the heroine, is still hopelessly in love with Fox despite being divorced for two years with no explanation from him. And Fox? He shows up out of the blue, drops the news that they’re still technically married, and suddenly they’re holding hands, kissing, and even sleeping together—on the way to the divorce lawyer, no less! It felt completely unrealistic and unearned.
When the truth about Fox’s reason for the divorce is revealed—that he didn’t want Emelia to feel “obligated” to care for him if he developed an autoimmune disease that his father died from—it only made things worse. Instead of feeling like a noble sacrifice, his decision to ghost his wife and file for divorce without explaining anything just came across as immature and unfair. And the fact that Amelia accepts this and agrees to stay married to him with little more than a token show of anger? Girl, stand up!
Beyond the plot issues, the characters were one-dimensional, and the lack of emotional depth made it hard to root for the romance. The pacing was too rushed (it’s only 44 pages, after all), and the ending felt undeserved. If I had known this was a short story or novella, I might have adjusted my expectations, but it was marketed as the third book in a series without any indication of its length.
While I appreciated that the book was included with my membership, I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re specifically looking for a quick, low-angst read. For me, it missed the mark completely.
The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! By the time you’ve figured out who is who and how deep hate can run, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter!
Can’t say I didn’t warn you.
(Believe me when I say you won’t put it down until the last page is read…you will find yourself getting upset cause someone called, texted or bothered you while reading this one, you will find yourself up at ungodly hours just to finish it knowing you have to be at work early (like 3am early) the very next day) YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! The Wylder Fire Volunteers series an amazing series thus far this is Fox and Emelia’s story and their second chance. Fox is a sexy as all get out chief of the volunteer firefighters, art teacher and divorced from his wife (a women he never stopped loving or so he thought). Emelia the wife Fox was supposed to divorce two years ago (from a man she never stopped loving), she is sweet, kind to others and loved by her friends. Now he has to find Emelia to inform her they are still married although, it was Fox who wanted the divorce she agreed to free him now he is telling her they are still married and he still loves her. Emelia has so many questions will Fox be honest why he even requested a divorce if he still loves her, will she forgive him, and can they find happiness again?
Fire Chief Fox Eckhart was not having a good day. He had just discovered that his divorce two years ago… never happened. He was buying a new home and the lender could not close on the loan until he produced the divorce decree. But he discovered the divorce never completed its route and they were still married.
At this point, they need to file a new petition since the old papers have expired. So he will need to track Emelia down. At the art exhibit featuring her work, she delays rushing up to where her art is on display. But as she rounds the last corner, right in front of her is her ex-husband as if her thoughts of him made him appear! He told her the story. Then he took her out the next day to see the house he was buying and she loved it. With both of them still in love with the other, neither is saying what they feel about this. Can they really do this all over again? Do they want to? And why did Fox ever want the divorce to begin with? When she finds out, he may want to hide out until she gets over it!
This was a very good story line with likable characters who never stopped loving each other. Now that they have had time and distance, are they ready to “pull the plug” again? Grab your copy and see how it resolves for them and whether they make the right decision this time around.
You get what you pay for.....and sometimes that turns out to be the best thing!
Fox is the third book in the Wylder Fire Volunteers series and is the story of Emelia and Fox. This book is a winner to me as it is well written, has an amazing story-line with a number of unexpected twists and two wonderful characters. Em and Fox have a history as they were married. But a few years ago Fox blind-sided Em by saying he wanted a divorce. It broke her heart but she did not fight him on it or even question him about why. But now Fox discovers that the DivorceForCheap.com do it yourself divorce they got was not actually completed and they are still legally married. So now he has to pay Em a visit to let her know and then they have to file all over again. But what happens when this once perfect couple ends up reconnecting again and the real reason Fox pulled away from Em is finally revealed?
This was a fantastic and heartwarming story that is well written and has a well plotted story-line. I really enjoyed both Em and Fox's characters and how they reconnect but yet fight it. However, he knows what he wants and is going to try to make sure that this time he does not mess up again. This couple is really wonderful together and their passion is palpable and sizzling hot. A great book and a definite RECOMMEND READ!!!
After Fox lost his father and after finding out he has the same gene as his father he thought it was best to get a divorce. He never wants to it his wife Emelia to put her through what his mom went through. Breaking her heart by asking for that. She moved out of town with a broken heart. Fox wants to buy a house but I'm order to do that they want to see he is actually divorced. He calls to get the paperwork only to find out they are still married. Fox goes to find his wife to explain they are still married and i m order to be divorced they need to go in front of a Judge. Emelia really doesn't want a divert because she still loved him. While home she ran into his mother who explained why he wanted a divorce. Now she knew and when they were back at the courthouse weeks later, she knew she didn't want to go the with it. She told him that we was with him for sickness and health no matter what happens she will always be there for him. Then he gets down on one knee and asks her to stay married to him. Of course she said yes. He wants to start a family but he made that happen five weeks prior. Now they are gonna fill the house he bought.

Emilia had her life back on track after divorcing the only man she would ever love two years ago, or so she thought but when she spots Fox at her art exhibition she realises she’s in no way shape or form over him. But he is here for one thing and one thing only she thinks to get his divorce. But how can she agree to that when he still holds her heart in the palm of his hand, she learns why he pushed her away in the first place could they have another chance or is this the end?
Fox has changed a lot in the past few years, he is now the volunteer fire chief and works in the family bakery with his brothers. One thing that hasn’t changed is his love for his ex wife Emilia, but he destroyed everything when he pushed her away and told her he no longer loved her. So when he finds out that they are still married he knows he needs to win her back, can he convince her to give them another chance or has his opportunity passed him by?
Sweet and quick read about two people who lost what they had through fear and lack of communication. Enjoyable read 4*
This the third book of 6 in the “Wylder Fire Volunteers Series”.
This is a second romance for Fox who is the chief of the volunteer fire fighters for the Wylder Fire Fighters and Emelia is an artist who teaches and the two have been divorced for 2 years. Fox is in the process of buying a home and learns that he needs a copy of his divorce decree and finds out that he is not divorced. The papers were never signed. Fox is still in love with ex-wife Emelia and she is still in love with him. Emelia and Fox are awesome together and Fox’s mother informs Emelia the reason he divorced her which he has been tested and has found out that he has the trait of dementia that his father died from and that he doesn’t want to put Emelia thru what his mom went thru with his dad.
This is such a cute second chance at romance, will Emelia and Fox get their second chance at love, home and family? If you’re into second chance romance then this is book for you.

In the third installment of Tarin Lex's wonderful Wylder Fire Volunteers series, we are treated to a beautifully written second chance romance. Fox, Chief of the Wylder Fire Volunteers and an art teacher at the local school, is trying to buy a house when he discovers the divorce decree he and his ex, Emelia - an up-and-coming artist - signed two years ago was never filed. When Fox reaches out to Emmy, both realize that the divorce is not something either really want, and their reconnecting for one last time is really a hope to start something new. Fox and Emelia have amazing, passionate chemistry, and once the reader finds out why Fox asked for the divorce in the first place, you are pulling even more for them to find a new HEA. I usually put second chance lower down on my list of favourite tropes, but this Fox is my favourite novella in this series thus far.

Book 3 in a firefighting mountain man series, can be read as a stand-alone. Fox asked his wife for a divorce 2 years ago and Emelia gave it to him. Or so he thought. A clerical error means that they are still married. Will they go through the whole process again or will he admit that he made the biggest mistake of his life? There is a lot of uncertainty for most of the story since they have great chemistry and it's unclear why they are not together. But when the reason is revealed, the reader isn't the only one surprised so it makes sense. A short, emotional story told in dual POV with good dialogue, likable characters, descriptive details (especially about art) and a romantic HEA. Good, quick-read entertainment!

Second chance for the Chief! This is about Emelia and Fox. Fox just realized that he is still married after he thought his divorce had gone through a couple of years ago. Now he has the task to find his ex Emelia and get her to resign the new documents in order for the courts to declare them divorced and he can move on to purchase the home they both had always wanted.
Emelia is an artist and is heartbroken after the love of her life broke their marriage without an explanation. When she returns as requested by Fox, she is pulled by her mother-in-law to explain why he broke their marriage. Does this help them get back together or confirm that they need to divorce. Love the ending - couldn’t be any perfect.

I thought that this was a really good book. Fox and Emelia were great together. I really enjoyed the connection and the lasting chemistry between these two. Fox and Emelia thought that they were divorced but come to find out, they were not. Now Fox and Emelia have to figure out if they truly want to be apart or if their love for each other can bring them back to together. When the truth of why Fox ended their married in the first place came to light, Emelia was devastated at Fox's lack of belief in her love. Luckily, Fox wasn't going to let his one and only get away from him again. I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it and Ms. Tarin as a great author.

I just don’t know where to start with this book. It was absolutely out of this world amazing and you’ll just fall in love with the characters of the book. Fox is trying to buy a house and the realtor needs his divorce decree but he can’t find it anywhere. When he begins his search he finds out that it never went through. Those two years that have passed have passed still as a husband. When he goes to talk to Emelia he doesn’t want to make it final but he has to prove that to her. When she finds out why he really asked for a divorce...it will break your heart but she’s so right. Definitely not a book you’re going to want to miss out on.

First things first; I like the cover of this book! Fox is the third book in the ‘’Wylder fire volunteers’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Fox has never stopped loving his ex wife. When he needs to talk to her again will he get a second chance with her? The chemistry between Fox and Emelia is clear to see and I liked them together. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

Book three of this brilliant series Wylder Fire Volunteers. This is a new type of story that I have read. I was a bit shocked on the ins and outs of it but all in all Tarin did an outstanding job with this story. Loves of their lives and married for better or worse in sickness and in health right. Well, he took it upon himself to make a decision for this wife and love of his life. They are to be divorced. But of course fate says naw not gonna happen here bud!!!!!!!!!! What happened to make him decide to throw it all away>

For two years, Fox, an art teacher and Chief of the Wylder Fire Department, has thought he was divorced from his wife Emelia. Because of a glitch in the paper work he isn't. Feelings haven't gone away when Fox contacts Emelia about redoing the paper work. When Emelia finds out why Fox wanted the divorce, she is hurt that Fox didn't confied in her and that he thought less of her for not telling her. This is a second chance at love book that will pull at your heart strings because of the time that was lost for Fox and Emelia and actually Fox needs a slap upside his head😂 This is book #3 of the "Wylder Fire Volunteer" series. Enjoy!

SECOND CHANCE WITH THE ONE AND ONLY This story pulled me in and deals with real life situations that are relatable. A wonderful romance with pain, deep and abiding love. Can the mistakes made be forgiven? This story pulled me in and deals with real life situations that are relatable. Sweet with heat! Fox and Emelia fell in love at first sight. Fox suddenly declared he no longer wanted to be married with no explanation. When he discovers the divorce was never finalized, he has to decide if it really is over.... Fire Chief Fox, in trying to buy a house, finds out his divorce from Emelia two years ago never finalized. He finds her at her art groups show and feelings fly again. Neither has moved on and still have deep feelings for each other. The characters are heartwarming. The reason he wanted the divorce is finally known. The storyline is entertaining as they banter back and forth, trying to let their feelings come out. Loved the location that is all hinges on. The epilogue was perfect. Can not wait for more from this author.

This is the 3rd book in the Wylder Fire Volunteers series, it can be read as a standalone story. No cliffhangers, no cheating.
This is a well-written fast-paced quick to read novella. The second chance storyline is entertaining and original. Fox and Emmy are wonderful characters. They still have the sizzling chemistry that they had when they were married. Their feelings are just as strong now as they were then. Can Fox prove to Emilia that he loves her and wants a second chance.
'Fox: An Already Married Second Chance Romance'p is Tarin Lex's third book in her Wylder Fire Volunteers and involves Emelia, former wife of Fire Chief Fox or so they thought.
Ms. Lex has written a fab addition to her Wylder firemen series with an interesting twist. The main characters were likeable and still had sizzling chemistry when they meet again. I really liked this story and highly recommend it to anyone who likes an HEA via a twist.
