Rate this book
When an infant is snatched from her wealthy California home, Kathryn Mackay and her former lover, Detective David Granz, are called in to investigate. With few leads and even less help from the family, Kathryn takes the case to the national media. But then babies start disappearing from birthing centers and bedrooms across the county -- and Kathryn and Dave must race to find the infants and the culprits...until a shocking call from halfway across the country reveals a plot more widespread than they could ever imagine.

Kathryn MacKay, a Deputy District Attorney, and the department's Inspector, Dave Granz - who is also her boyfriend - race to identify a serial bomber, while dealing with personal problems and a high-profile ongoing trial. A good read that gets better as it progresses.

This book was an excellent read. McGuire really knows her stuff. It was interesting to learn about criminal law while reading through a great plot with all the twists. There was great attention to detail. I couldn't put this book down!
