Culture shock. It’s a thing. The small-town diner I work at might as well be a fish bowl, and I’m the lone, exotic beta everyone’s staring at. Probably running a Tyler-and-Olivia pool for “are they or aren’t they”, “will they or won’t they”. And you know what? I want in.
Because who drops a “we’re engaged” bomb right in the middle of the shaky ground between us? Tyler does. My city-bred head tells me he’s gotta be bluffing, that it’s all about getting his ex off his back. My heart says something different. Besides, I made a promise to his little girl, Lucy, and if he makes me break it, I’ll break his nose.

Tyler
It's bad when I’m wondering if the turkey club from the diner is just a turkey club, or pity food from Olivia. I didn’t mean for Lucy to overhear my joking declaration. Half joking. Hell, not joking at all.
I freely admit it was made in desperation. But if this fake engagement thing can break the ice between us, it’ll be worth every burned pancake Lucy had to endure to make Olivia a permanent part of our lives.
As stated in the first books review - I did enjoy it. Same here. And this one was a bit better. However it did take me a bit to get into as the cliffhanger from the first book left with me confused to what happened. We don’t get answers until a few chapters in. Lots of things a vague. And lots of things are mentioned and glossed over without much of a conclusion,... but the author has done better with that in this one.
I will say the families within this small town have been feuding for generations and there’s mention of it but nothing really explained in depth. I’d love to know more about these feuds as that’s extremely interesting to me.
The Justa family is without a doubt a cast of characters. And we get to see them a bit more here.
I wanted to love it but again was okay.
As I asked myself in the previous books review - will I read more? Maybe. These are super easy and quick reads that are entertaining enough to keep my attention so yeah, I might read the next one sooner rather than later.
Fake engagement? That's what Olivia's thinking, Tyler has other plans. Tyler and his young daughter Lucy have been on a rollercoaster ride since Olivia arrived in Gardner. Lucy loves Olivia and it seems Tyler has fallen for her also. Kate, Tyler's ex and Lucy's mother, wants to reconnect with their daughter. In order to do that Kate needs leverage. Tyler has been the primary caregiver for Lucy since her birth and he can't imagine life without her, especially when Kate brings Olivia's past into question. Kate wants her daughter and apparently she doesn't care who she hurts. Will Lucy end up being collateral damage? Tyler isn't about to let that happen. He may lose Olivia, the love of his life, but Lucy? Never. OMG ! I LOVE THIS FAMILY💖 THIS FAMILY STICKS TOGETHER. THEY WILL HAVE YOU LAUGHING AT THEIR CRAZINESS, AS WELL AS CRYING WITH THEM WHILE THEY DEAL WITH THEIR EMOTIONAL STUFF ! 🔥TYLER AND OLIVIA ARE JUST AS WILD IN THE BEDROOM AS THEY ARE OUT🔥 I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS AMAZING READ ! ! !
Wow, what a story! This town and this family know something about drama, and of course being stubborn. Tyler Justa isn't just a man with baggage, he comes with a whole lotta complicated family history and the sweetest, and most sassist five year old daughter named Lucy. Olivia is everything Tyler and Lucy needed in their lives. She doesn't just fit in with the family, but with the whole town too. Olivia came to town to escape her life for a day, maybe two, but decided to call this small town home.
I don't want to give away the story because I know this book is worth reading. Yes, it is the second book about Tyler and Olivia's story. But this whole series is a continuing story about this small town and their love stories. Well worth reading!!! I highly recommend to anyone!!! You'll fall in love with the characters!
I loved this second book about the Justa clan. The proposal., and More on Tyler, Olivia, sweet sassy Lucy! Mila, Crosby. And well just everyone. I did have an issue with Olivia and Kate having an actual fist fight the day of the court hearing. And then Kate just walking away didn’t seem to fit where the story was going. I felt like I had a flow, to the story line, then it was like a sharp turn after I stumbled. I couldn’t wrap my head around that part and even went back to see if I missed something. All in all I enjoyed the story and look forward to the next one.
This was a good story. It was too long for two books. The first book was a cliffhanger. Issues I had - no way does a 5 year old talk like Lucy does, the men can’t seem to solve any problems other than beating them into submission or threaten to throw them through the window. The main H is too busy watching his girlfriend’s ass than talk to his lawyer about losing his daughter in a custody hearing - even goes so far as to threaten to throw his lawyer through the window. And the women enable, even encourage that type of behavior.
What an intense story. The Justa family is a truly awesome family that if one is hurting, everyone is always happy to be able to help you. Support for whatever way it needs to be, whatever form. Tyler and Olivia and little Lucy, are becoming a family, yet there are those trying to find a way to keep them apart. Beautifully written story. Loved it.❤️
A freaking fantastic book. Let's just say Lucy also stole this book as well. That girl is to smart for her age. My heart broke for Theresa nothing bad I promise but I'll leave it at that. Let's just say Olivia is badass.
Completion of book 1. It was okay. Seemed like a lot of fluff and filler and could have easily been combined into one book. This book did not endear me to the main characters that is for sure.
Oh wow this book made me laugh which I haven't done for since when, I don't remember and it's because of little Lucy. I like how this story was written.
Absolutely loved this book!! I could not put it down. Loved how protective Olivia was. Just everything about it was really good... sad that it ended. On to Mila's story!!
London Casey has done it again this book was everything I was hoping it would be and more. The Justa family is all about family, they might fight each other, disagree, blame each other but in the end they are all there for each other no matter what! Tyler has a young daughter, Lucy and oh boy that girl is full of sass, I laughed out loud throughout the book. Then there isLucy's mother Katie she is all about herself. Tyler and Olivia go though some tuff times before this book ends and I wasn't expecting, what is to come next! Can't wait for Millas story!
A fantastic read and a perfect conclusion to Olivia and Tylers story, although Lucy of course steals the limelight! London Casey gives you everything you could want, and more for this family. I can't wait for the next instalment of the just a series.
