This is a good book - to a point. It is very thorough with lots of info and I learned a lot. Sadly, it is very poorly edited with very many typos, misused words, misspelled words, missing words and incorrect info. For example, at one point, he say Jamie Farr is best known for his portrayal of Radar on M*A*S*H! And in another, he gives a character's name as Mark; next mention of character by name, he's Martin; next time he's back to Mark. Then in the next paragraph he becomes Marvin.
I hope this author issues another edition of the book, but before doing so, I strongly urge him to hire competent proof reader - preferably a live human being who knows English and can fix all the blatant (and not so blatant) errors. The book is worth the read, but all the errors are distracting; hence only 4 stars.
The book is on Kindle Unlimited, so if you're a member, you can borrow at now charge; or you can purchase the Kindle version for $19.99. The hard cover edition is $39.99. If you expect people to pay that kind of money for your book, the least you can do is make sure it is as error free as possible. I'm glad I got it via Kindle Unlimited!
A lifelong Emergency! fan, I received the complete series on DVD for my birthday and shortly after, bought this incredible, comprehensive guide as a companion as I re-watch the series one episode after another. Love the behind the scenes scoop and this book is loaded with great production and cast trivia, goofs and need to know bits. The author has done a terrific job; no detail is spared nor overlooked. It’s everything a fan could want and more. Get it stat and transport as soon as possible!
