Okay, I'm a late bloomer who's a big DC comics fan and spent my childhood summers on the Jersey shore but I was born under a wandering star and have lived in different parts of America ever since. That's enough about me. Need to feel inspired today? Looking for something to make you root for an ordinary hero? I'm all about that in everything I write.
I love a good tale that makes me wonder about things and I love a story even more that leaves me feeling inspired or like I'm capable of doing more than I realized. That's my goal with everything I've ever written. Some of the stories I tell involve twisting, turning thrillers and others have a lot of magic.
There's something to be said for getting lost in another world and coming out the other side feeling a little better about yourself or the possibilities in front of you. That's basically the best part of life in a nutshell, no matter what kind of story I'm setting out to tell.
Another will written fantasy world 🌎 paranormal relationship adventure thriller novel by Martha Carr and Michael Anderle, Dwarf Bounty Hunter book 7. Johnny Walker is home in the Florida Everglades deer hunting with Rex and Luther his coonhounds. They have a nice deer in their sights when the 4 cybergs show up ☝ ruining the hunt. Johnny returns to his home and starts working on training the cybergs to listen and follow orders. He is hired by the government to get hold of weapons being illegally brought into the Texas coast. They are successful with lots of action, misdirection, and violence leading to the unexpected conclusions. I would highly recommend this series and authors too readers of action packed adventure mystery novels 👍🔰. Enjoy the adventure of reading 👓 or listening 🎶to Alexa read books 📚. 2023 😀👒👻🏡
Things are just as crazy in the Johnny Walker household, in this book!
Johnny and Lisa, along with the Hounds, Rex and Luther, are slowly adjusting to having the four cyborgs that they rescued, living on Johnny's property.
But the trouble is, that it's been a week since then, and all four of them are rather like bored teenagers, which means things on Johnny's property are getting smashed!
June, the Crystal cyborg, has got some anger issues to sort through, Leroy, the Shifter, who can't shift any more, is doing his best to keep the peace between June and everyone else, and the twins, Brandon and Clint, have found a way to keep busy, by keeping an eye on Johnny's satellite intelligence equipment, in case Johnny's name is mentioned anywhere!
So, the place is rocking with noise and action, when Amanda returns home for Winter Break, from her new school! Lol
As it's Amanda's birthday just after Christmas, and none of those living there do much with the Holidays, Johnny helps Amanda build a replica of the obstacle course that her exercise teacher, Mr Petrov, has all the classes doing but, while they do so, the twins overhear a message with Johnny's name mentioned.
This starts them all on yet another adventure, which involves long plane journeys, trashed Hotel rooms, suspect bombs appearing out of nowhere, huge amounts of large jars of pickled, and a fight to grab some illegal weapons of mass destruction, that only Johnny, and his new team, could get away with!
As usual, there were plenty of laugh-out-loud moments - normally involving Rex and Luther, those crazy, and so unintentionally funny Coonhounds, of course, and some great fight scenes, along with some double-crossing that involves train cars.
I'm thoroughly enjoying this series, as I have done almost every single Martha Carr-Michael Anderle co-written works, and I'm now anxious to get into the next book in the series: book eight: 'For Dwarf's Sake'.
So, I'll finish off this review - for heaven's sake, if you haven't read any of these books, as yet, then do so, as you're missing a really fun read - and, once I've finished book eight, I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I think about it all!
Yeah, the Edward's back, with lots of action, mayhem, and interesting friends.
Johnny has gained four more "wards", or maybe trainees, or just house guests, no one is sure what they are besides big and destructive. The four magicals that survived being made into cyborgs by the insane doctor who had worked for the CIA are now Johnny's headache, but better him than the military or the government he figures. Can he help these four for into society after their lives have been overturned and corrupted? Can he keep them free while he gets his jobs done and puts more bad guys in the ground? Oh, come on, it's Johnny!
Yeah, the fun and games continues, with a visit from Amanda thrown in for more fun.
Johnny and Lisa continue there romance (or not) with each learning to get a better read on each other. The added joy of the cyborgs, Lisa getting an upgrade, taking down a scumbag, and a few other things let one continue to enjoy this series, with callbacks to earlier stories and links to Amanda's now separate story. And don't forget them coonhounds, Rex and Luther.
Johnny's family of strange magicals keeps getting bigger and more destructive. He's sent on a wild weapons chase by the Marines. In typical Johnny Walker style, he smashes, explodes, and punches through anyone in his way, getting his job done and making the world just a bit better. I won't tell you what exactly explodes, but it makes the news. 😉 The cyborgs are the best sidekicks in town, causing everyone to underestimate them while wreaking havoc. It's a beautiful thing. 9/10 unicorns 🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄
Just when Johnny and Lisa think they are getting a handle on the"cyborg-magical hybreds" they have to show off a "new skill". So between this coonhounds " constant chatter" and the cyborg-hybreds" toddler at times-unruley teenagers the next. His ward Amanda is coming for the winter break. Now the "Military " has a job for them, Johnny is going to give the new Trainee's a field practice. What could go wrong? Johnny and Lisa will use all their wits, skills, coonhounds and cyborgs to fix this mess! Fast paced laugh out loud at times, adventure. I recommend this highly.
These books are just fun to me. Amanda’s visit was short. I didn’t like the books about the school, continuity issues, but I don’t think she was in them. What I love about the johnny walker series; they are an easy, laugh out loud, stand alone. I don’t have to feel disappointed when the book is over. I’m still reading the next one but I’m cool until it comes out, no rush.
Wow, amazing story! Johnny, Lisa & the hounds have adopted the four 'body's from the last book. Moody June, humongous Leroy, & the twins, Brandon & Clint, add a new fun dimension to Johnny's life. And they come in handy, too!
Really fun, exciting read. Love Rex & Luther, the joking Coonhounds.
Love this series very much. Johnny uses weapons to work out his issues, Lisa understands that Johnny needs to work out his issues and luckily they have found an outlet for Leroy, June, Clint and Brandon that doesn’t involve weapons. Amanda has more backup too, which sounds like a good thing considering how little she said about life at the academy.
Johnney, Lisa the hounds and cyborgs blow up an arms deal with his typical style. We learn more about Johnney s past and are treated to witty dialogue a grumpy dwarf and two crazy hounds! Do yourself a favor and read this book, and if you haven't started the series yet do so! You're going to thoroughly enjoy yourself!
So much fun. Johnny, Lisa and the dogs have a new crew to work with and a new job. They are after an arms dealer and are having fun training the cyborgs on how to work together to stop them. As usual there is a ton of action and humor in the book and the dogs are a riot.
Johnny takes a case from the military to prevent some weapons getting into the wrong hands. With the help of the cyborgs, Lisa and the hounds, he attempts to do that without the cyborgs (particullarly June) distroying hotel rooms, convention centers, train yards, etc.
I highly recommend this imaginative, kick butt book, and the series & spinoffs thereof, to readers who love reading paranormal, sci-fi, paramilitary fantasy. These books keep the excellence going. Enjoy!
Remember the cyborgs that Johnny found in the previous book? They are now part of his team , well sort of part of the team. Life has become rather strange in the swamp.
Cyborgs and action galore. Things are never dull with Johnny and Lisa but add in 4 cyborgs and a healthy dose of humor and you have the makings a a great story!!
THAT was hilarious!!!! Between the dogs with Lisa and June with her shenanigans.... Freaking awesome hilarious!!! Howard S (the S stands for Super Fan)
A suggestion for a future title. The Series is a blast. Magic and technology, magicals and humans just trying to live their best lives. And talking coonhounds as well.
Well written with enough action to keep everyone happy.
Who knows how much you have been played? Not Johnny Walker. The four cyborgs have always been a major pain in his neck. At best, they’re aggravating, and seem totally irresponsible. Who would guess that they were just bored.
Lisa got the voices in her head, yay. I am glad June and the others are fitting in, they are adding a lot to the team. This series is a lot of fun and I am really enjoying this universe. I recommend this book and series.
A Dwarf, two coonhounds, a half light elf, a Crystal cyborg, a Shifter cyborg and twin wizard cyborgs. All of this on a case of illegal gun sales for the military. Do you need to know more?
Amanda is at school Lisa and Johnny are in more crazy places the government decided they wanted Johnny to do a job for them after FBI agents are found susceptible to mind control then people went missing and arms dealers are a problem just wait
I struggled with the first couple of chapters. I did not find Johnny and Lisa getting the cyborgs settled in that interesting, but things that happened later were set up by those events. Once the action got started I really enjoyed the story. I even got to liking the Borgs.
Fantastic job again by Martha. She never fails to impress with her writing. Thanks for keeping us very well entertained with the antics of Johnny and his crazy hounds!
