KELLAN
As the Road Demon’s VP, this club is my life. I’m loyal to my MC family, and they’re the only thing that matters to me. Until I decide to play hero to a damsel in distress. Normally, I’d use my charm to convince her to take me for a ride. But the moment I see Jenna, something about her calls to something in me. With all her secrets, she’s a complication I don’t need, but everything in me shouts with a primal urge to protect her.

JENNA
A woman on the run isn’t supposed to make pitstops, let alone consider putting down roots. I know the only way to stay safe is to keep moving. I can’t afford to let anyone get close to me. It’s too dangerous for me and them, but I can’t fight it. I’m drawn to this biker and the members of his club. They prove that family isn’t always about blood.

Can Kellan save her from the demons chasing her? Can Jenna peel away the Road Demon’s tough exterior and show him love does exist?

If you love bad bikers who drop the F bomb A LOT then you'll love the men of the Road Demons MC. Hang on tight, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

I HATE when the “hero” meets the “heroine” and instantly knows he wants her, but screws OW instead. To be fair, I know he doesn’t owe her anything, but it’s cliché as hell. TBH I wouldn’t be so mad at it if the “heroine” wasn’t so weak or easy when it comes to him.

Then, when he gets butthurt he turns to the first sweet butt he sees and is all over her. On top of that, he has the audacity to blame the sweet butt and alcohol for his personal decision. He started hooking up with the sweet butt in front of the heroine all on his own… no one put a gun to his head.

But all that’s okay because our pathetic heroine forgives him a few hours later anyway.

The “hero” is literally an asshole everything time something doesn’t go his way, and she still ends up with him. WTF

Honestly,
I’m so pissed I wasted my time with this!

I originally read one of the later books from this series as a standalone (Wren) because I saw it on a cheating list (it really wasn’t) and never continued the series, but I’ve been craving mc shenanigans, so I picked up Cypher (the last book in the series) and liked it, so I decided to just read the damn thing in order.

I had actually already read this and was halfway through Rigg’s book when I went on my girl’s trip where we binge listened to the Last Rider’s books, so these got put on the back burner for a couple of weeks, and I ended up having to reread them to get back on track. I remember thinking these were a bit dicey with the OW drama shenanigans, but after reading that (The Last Riders) series… these guys are tame, and IMO much more committed to their gals once they pull their head out of their asses. The LR’s have some die-hard fangirls, but I’d much rather be one of these dude’s ol’ ladies if I had to choose. Moving on…

The blurb sets this up, Jenna is on the run from an abusive situation when she runs into Kellan. He’s not looking to settle down and in club girl sampling mode but feels oddly protective of the smoking hot new girl in town. Stuff happens, and these two get their HEA. Kellan and Jenna were alright, but they (especially Jenna) felt immature at times, and that was off putting.

Bottom Line- I’m writing this after reading all of them, and they all have the same feel. They’re ok, enjoyable enough, but I wasn’t wowed. They all follow a formula somewhat, there’s some push/pull, drama from a wannabe OW, and some danger coming to the h (usually some type of attack). They all have some type of H/OW action, but are all technically safe (I believe), but I’ll put the deets at the end. All available on KU.

Random- I read these out of order and read his brother’s book (Wren) first. It’s weird, or maybe the author didn’t plan it out, but Larkin is the wannabe OW in his bro’s book and had been trying to get in there for YEARS, so it’s weird that she was trying to get with Kellen in this book. One would think Wren wouldn’t be down with that.

Safety-

Loving a Demon comes with some ups and downs. I wanted to jackslap Kellan into next week more then once and I also wanted to shake the sh!t out of Jenna for being such a pushover with him. I enjoyed this book. I even enjoyed Kellan and his as$hole ways. I wish Jenna would have held him more accountable and not given in to the big D so quickly after he screwed up. I mean we all know there is going to be forgiveness, but make him work for it, baby.
I am excited to read Riggs book... let's go!

Ok but very slow

As far as MC books go the was VERY mild. I'd like there to be a lot of action and angst. This was not that kind of book unfortunately. She she went through stuff but is was more story telling.

just did a reread.

3.5 stars. I enjoyed this. It was too instalove for my liking, but I still enjoyed it. Took me until the end of the book to like Jenna. She's not my preference when it comes to FMCs in MC books. She acted too traumatized. Always jumping at noises and never meeting anyone in the eyes. I get it. She was raped and tortured by her ex. I gotta be too desensitized at this point I'm guessing. The H King was a bit immature for my liking as well. Since he's going to be the future Prez he better start acting like it. Overall it was enjoyable. Gritty with some violence. So if that's not your thing I'd give it a pass.

For the SAFETY gang: there isn't cheating perse, but he's with a sweet butt aka club whore, after meeting, and falling into lust with Jenna. He wants to pursue her. She backs off. He's upset and proceeds to get drunk and finger a sweet butt named Larkin in public at Rigg's bar. He blames it on the alcohol and Larkin, but oh no my man. Take some damn responsibility. But in actuality it didn't bother me all that much because Jenna turned him down and he felt she didn't want him. A good ol'conversation would have solved all issues with less tears. Which again annoyed me about Jenna. She finally made up her mind after seeing that.

Oh. My!!

OMG!! A new to me author and I loved this book! How have I not read this before?!!
I have the series to catch up on now! But first Kellan and Jenna. Jenna is running, Holy shit that poor woman! When Kellan finds her and her broken down car, something draws him in. His protective instincts are screaming at him!
And when her story is fully revealed, Kellan and his brothers will do all they can to keep her safe.
However, throw in the odd douchebag and sweet butt and things get lairy!!
Really enjoyed this read, I found myself shouting at my kindle quite a few times!
Can't wait to catch up on the rest of the series!!

It was ok

This book was decent. I liked some characters more than others. I wish their was more drama throughout the book on the ex. What happened he deserved. My biggest issue is none of the lady's insist on their man getting tested for diseases and they don't go get tested after too. Gross!

so good

If you want to read a really good book then i recomment this one by T.L. Drake. What i love about most MCs is that they may appear rough looking and think they have everything, but when it comes to a women they fight their feelings and then when they can no more they are toast.. lol.
And this is what happened to Kellan, he met and helped Jenna. Her car had broken down on the side of the road, however when him and his men saw the state of how she was looking they got mad. But its Jenna who flips Kellans switch, he fought his feelings and now she is his wether she likes it or not

A really good story, looking forward to reading more by this author

Ahh it’s started off so good and then it went down hill big time. The MMC is a big baby who throws tantrums in every chapter. To push the FMC away he kisses and touches another women big no for me. They fall out more than they’re together and I’m supposed to believe that they love each other. Like what??? How could the possibly love each other. They barely spent anytime together that wasn’t ending in them breaking up lol.
Don’t get me started on when he claims her as his Ol lady even after she states she doesn’t want to be owned by someone else again. He doesn’t even have a conversation with her about it. He just expects her to fall in line. Like hello she’s running from an abusive relationship

I won’t be reading the rest of the series if this is what the first ones like

Unnecessary sex and touching by King

I really liked the plot line and was enjoying the book. The H (King) is such an entitled jerk he can't have the h (jenna) so he sleeps with a club girl. After King and Jenna talk and get closer King again doesn't get his way. So in front of Jenna he's making out and intimately touching a club girl again accompanied by cheers and encouragement from his club brothers. At that point I quit reading and I won't finish the story. It's not only not necessary to have that in the story it makes the hero look stupid, weak and not worthy of the heroine. There is no coming back from that. I won't finish the series or recommend it to friends .

Kellan and Jenna oh my.. Jenna was running from her Dad and her ex. She had left and bought a car and planned on getting as far away as she could. Her car broke down and Kellan happen d to drive by. He stopped as any good guy would do. There was an attraction but ofcourse there was so much to over come between Jenna and Kellan. Kellan tried to push her away yet always ending up realizing what he really wanted. This book was awesome it is the first in the series and I loved the brothers in this book and can’t wait to see what happens next. I highly recommend this book

Good Lord! What the hell! I almost put this book down so many times! The freaking tantrums Kellan throws in this book and his emotional intelligence is absolutely nonexisting.

This book is about Jenna who runs away from an abusive boyfriend. Her car breaks down next to the road and Kellan (bad boy, tattooed biker) comes along and helps her. Kellan has never been interested in keeping a woman but once he sees Jenna he just realizes there is something different about her. Initially he tries to stay away (like for 2 minutes🤣 ) but then decide she is his!

So above sounds like something that I should like, right? Possessive tattooed biker guy…

So not the case! Jenna comes out of a forced, abusive relationship where she was raped but Kellan once he heard and knows she was previously abused will act violent in front of her making her run from him (not once or twice, the idiot keeps acting like a child). He wants her to stay with him right out of the bat and once she says she wants to stay with someone else he acts like a child, throws a tantrum and decides if she doesn’t want her she can go to hell, all of this happening without him even listening to her. He then continues to finger another woman in front of her and expects her to still be with him…

The pacing of the story was also off. It is a bit insta love and the flow of it just doesn’t make sense! I am a bit shocked I finished this one!!

Review:
This is my first book by this author, and it won't be my last. I found myself loving the brothers and women in this book. It had a different flow then most MC Romances I have read. It was engaging and kept me interested. This book was recommended in a MC Romance FB Group, and I am glad I got it. The FMC stood up for herself and realized that she was stronger than she thought. The MMC fell hard but did try to fight it. I found myself loving them as a couple.

Parts were really good, & parts were terrible! Kellan is horrid to her at times.

Jenna is on the run from her fiancé, who beat her and kept her a prisoner. When her car breaks down in the middle of nowhere, When Kellan first comes to Jenna’s rescue, he seems really sweet. Till he gets scared of his feelings towards Jenna, and starts being a d…head to her! Kellan takes her to Alora’s house. Alora is never really explained about. She’s in the mc’s house, and is in love with one of the brothers, but that’s all we know about her. Kellan treats Alora really badly, telling Alora to ‘shut her mouth,’ quite frequently.
I hate the way that he talks to Alora. Not just him but the whole Mc. There’s no respect shown towards her.

So throughout the whole book Kellan has a lot of misunderstandings about Jenna. He throws a tantrum when Jenna won’t stay with him, as she’s scared of men. He ignores her calls and texts, then gets off with one of the club bunnies in front of Jenna, to ‘drive her away!’ His words. 😡😡😡 She’s a sap who forgives him, till he pushes away again.

The danger when it happens is blink and you miss it. The one redeeming thing about this book, is how Kellan takes his time with Jenna, and doesn’t rush sex. As she’s been through something terrible. That’s the only reason it gets two stars instead of one.

King and his Queen

This was my 1st book by T.L. Drake and I gotta say I was not disappointed. It's the type of MC book that I like to read even though they're technically not a 1% club. But they did what they had to do, especially when it comes to one of their own. Jenna is on the run from her family and a man who wishes to own her. She is only passing through town when the junk car she's driving breaks down in the middle of nowhere quite literally. Then out of nowhere a handsome biker pulls over and gives her a ride to town. Kellan aka King is the VP of The Devils MC and he's not interés in ever settling down or finding an Olé Lady. But when he comes across Jenna in the deserted road he can't seem to get the beautiful redhead out of his mind. The problem is that she is extremely guarded and has her walls up to keep everyone out. So much happens between these two and they eventually realize that they are falling for one another and decide to give their relationship a shot. After lots of BS, they get their HEA. I can't wait to see what happens next with our wild guy Riggs next! As well as the rest of the brothers.

Growly, possessive, determined men!

King is the VP of the club. Six foot two, with grey eyes, and muscles for days, the man definitely stands out. When he stops to help someone broke down on the side of the road, he encounters a beautiful woman, Jenna. Jenna is on the run from an abusive man, and a family who has encouraged it.

I recommend this book. Jenna has a hard time getting used to a new situation. Readers will discover that it is because she questions herself, her actions, and what she really wants, instead of those she is surrounded by. The MC is really protective, and turn out to be good guys wanting to keep her safe. She finds herself being propositioned often, but knows she can say no. King finds himself incredibly attracted to her. However, this does not stop him from putting his foot in his mouth quite frequently. What is particularly enduring about Jenna and King is their need for each other, and the fact that they look to each other. Readers, you will not be disappointed.

The plot was ok, but the trouble with these MC books is they put woman's rights and the Me Too movement back decades (and I'm not a huge bra burning feminist). Now I know it is only make believe, but I can't help think that in these back hidden away places in USA or anywhere in the world, these sorts of clubs do operate like this. With young girls acting as unpaid prostitutes because they want the badge or protection from a biker group. The men seem to have sex in the club house with everyone watching and taken turns not caring who or how many have been before them, and this seems to be the bunnies one and only purpose in life. This story could have been a lot more positive. Jenna the mfc does have a little bit of back bone in fleeting moments, but Kellen's behaviour is no different from her ex Steven and I wish she'd said that and stood firm. The plot with Steven unfolded well and I am intrigued by the other characters, but it is a shame that a romance is built on woman being sex slaves in essence and that is their one and only goal in life. Mixed views I think is fair to say.

"He wants a queen? Then he needs to let me help rule."

Jenna, escapes an abusively evil man with some hope of trying to live a normal life. When fate smacks her right in the middle of Demon territory!

Kellan, VP and ladies man of the demons MC is conflicted when he meets the sexiest woman he has ever met. She makes him feel things he never felt before and he's not sure how to handle it.

Will jenna and Kellan be able to bust down each other's steel walls that they have so cautiously built around themselves? Or will the past keep them apart forver?

T.L. Drake's writing hits you right in the feels everytime and Road Demons is no different.

Two broken souls finding missing pieces in eachother to become whole. So many times I was like "Just tell him/her what your thinking!! Please!!" But that's how you know its a good one.

So good and sexy too!! Defiantly recommend.

"In love with a demon." 😈😈

Holy Heck What a Ride and start to a new MC series!!!
Jenna is a woman on the run, in need of an escape, lands herself in Demon territory.
Kellan King the future president of the Road Demons is all possessive alpha with a side of sweet.
When he finds Jenna on the side of the road not only is there an instantaneous spark between them, but Kellan's desire to protect and keep her is fierce. Will Jenna become his Queen? Or will Jenna's past demons and insecurities keep them apart?
Captivated from the very first page I absolutely devoured this story which took me on a serious emotional rollercoaster. I laughed, I swooned, I smiled, I gasped, I held my breath with anticipation, and at times I got so frustrated that I either yelled at my Kindle or wanted to hand out some serious slaps.
An absolutely incredible start to a new series and with so many wonderful characters I can't wait to see what happens next for the Road Demons.

🌶️🌶️🌶️(1/2)

tropes/triggers: sexual assault (flash back and attempted on page), domestic abuse, MC, traumatic past of heroine, JP, “Mine”, OWD, slow burn
Hero:Kellan King
Heroine: Jenna

Well after searching I think I found a new favorite MC author.
The story starts off with you meeting Jenna. We find her scared and stuck on the side of the road in the middle of no where in the wee hours of the late/early morning. Suddenly, a lone motorcycle comes up behind her and here climbs off this sexy man on sticks. But Jenna is scared, alone and doesn’t trust anyone and most of all men. When Kellan sees Jenna for the first time he instantly thinks “mine”. WTH?! He is not looking for an Ole Lady nor a complication but there is something about Jenna that calls to him and obviously this lady needs his help if not only just to get her car fixed and get out of here but ………..what the heck is that on her face?? A bruise? And on her neck? Are those handprints? WTF?!!!

Not a bad read… I expected this to be a little cheesy and insta love but it actually wasn’t a bad read.

I would have given it four stars but the FMC was a little bratty and sooky. That’s a turn off. Way too sensitive to be an Ol’lady let alone Presidents Ol’lady.

The carry on was a bit much. Yeah he was an asshole at times but she’s pushing him away then expecting him to stay celibate. IDK. For me, I wouldn’t tolerate it, it’s a snap hot of what’s to come in the relationship. If he’s that into her he wouldn’t jump from chick to chick but she also pushed him away saying she wasn’t interested. So 🤷🏻‍♀️… who’s in the right and whose in the wrong? I just know if a guy did that to me I’d be out, no redemption.

But she’s not me and she stayed and they got their HEA in the end. Hopefully she matures a little.

The MMC’s are typical OTT blokes with crude talk about women and sex. Great for a read but real life 🙅🏻‍♀️.

What a read! I was totally immersed in this book and read it in one day. I couldn't put it down. I was wrapped up in my reading, intrigued by the whole world being opened up before me, waiting for the other shoe to drop with the twists. The characters, Kellan and Jenna, could be real people with everyday issues. Jenna shows how strong she is by not backing down despite her circumstances. Kellan lets his softer side show with Jenna. Kellan sounds like what you would expect a biker to be: muscled, tattooed, and hot as sin. Where he differs is that he's caring and helpful toward a woman broken down on the side of the road. Jenna was a beautiful vision to Kellan that night. His soul claimed her as his before his heart fell in line. They do make it through all the troubles that beset them to get their happily ever after.

Conclusion was a let down.

An entertaining introduction to the Road Demons MC. Kaplan the VP of the club, stops to help a stranded Jenna on a stretch of lonely road when her car breaks down. She is running, but he persuaded her to stay under his club's protection.

The relationship between the two is far from smooth. I think the author skipped over and shortened the more dramatic elements of this relationship to reach a quick peaceful outcome so she could move onto the successive stage as though she had ticked a box that said 'done'.

Also the neglected 'bad' element involving Jenna's ex was a flop and a blip in the conclusion rather than use it throughout the story to enhance the narrative.

I hate giving such a low rating for this book bc i really enjoy it BUT i cannot give it a higher rating bc of the fmc being such a pushover. He cheats on her than a few hours later shes grinding and kissining him, then he bellitles her when he says her ex was her sugar daddy when he KNOWS she was abused for 4 years by him and she forgives him the first time she sees him again and than he disregards her opinion on being claimed by him (she did not want it at all) but its okay bc a few minutes later he fucks her bare (which she also didnt want) and she agrees to be his. I just wanted the fmc to be a bit stronger and stand her ground or ar least make him work for forgivenes after the 3. Time he hurt her intentionally. I really liked the club and charathers as a whole but..

Once again, love makes the biggest, baddest alpha male stupid. Kellan finds Jenna stranded on the side of the road after she has run from her abuser. After seeing her bruises and hearing her story, his need to protect her over rides everything. He continuously fights his feelings and ends up repeatedly pushing Jenna away.

I loved seeing Kellan as the tough biker, but also the side that shows he's human and not perfect. He makes stupid mistakes, owns up to them and is able to beg forgiveness. In addition to a good romance, the book has suspense and an introduction to the other club members. I loved their loyalty to each other and their occasional antic behavior.

Kellen and Jenna

I was hooked before the first chapter had finished. I love it the female lead has red hair and green eyes, egotistical maybe as I do too. Kellen is the VP of the road demons MC since he lost his dad ( previous VP), his grandfather is pres and his brother is SAA. As soon as he sees Jenna he's lusting and when he sees the shiner he's protective streak kicks in.
These two need their head banging together a fair few times but they get there in the end despite the obstacle course of ex's and FB's to content with.
This is the first book I've read by this author but I'm invested in the series now.
