Doug Davis goes deep where most wouldn’t dare, sharing very private and very painful personal experiences, with a simple goal of helping others: others who might be going through difficult times themselves, as well as those who want to know the best way to be there for the people they love who are hurting.
Written in his own authentic and heartfelt voice, he outlines events in his life that would devastate anyone, leaving the reader in awe at his strength and willingness to share.
The fact that he has now decided to open up in order to show a light of hope to others speaks to his incredible strength of character and personal faith. Indeed, who he has become “Through It All.”
Knowing the author as my former boss I was curious to read this book. This showed a side of him I never knew. To go through the loss of not one child but three and still be a caring and thoughtful person is inspirational. As my former boss, he showed compassion and honesty. He was always upbeat and fair. Through my reading of this story, I hope I can be an inspiration to others going through life's journey. I recommend anyone feeling sorry for themselves to read this book. Anyone who feels life dealt them a raw deal read thus book.
Knowing Doug this was a hard read. It was painful and emotional because of what had happened in his life, but his Faith has seen him thru and by his example he has brought many to Jesus. I will cherish this book always as I do his Leadership. Thanks Doug for this heart felt book . Danny &Vickie Harness
Many of us go through seasons in our lives that can be challenging but every once in a while you hear a story that is so tragic you wonder how someone could go on. “Through It All” is such a story. Doug reveals his life in a way that is raw and real with all the doubts and sorrow that would come with having gone through such tragedy. He shows us that God continues to walk through our darkest hours with us and patiently waits for our return. I believe God has given us an amazing gift when you find people willing to share stories like this. It provides a process of healing for both the person who hears it and the one who tells it.
