The author of this book is the founder of Access Consciousness. I was originally introduced to Access by a spiritual healer who taught me some of the mantras and tools, which I thought were great, but after reading a few of his books and getting down to the nitty gritty of it I found myself questioning some of his teachings. He gives an example in this book of one of their members who was going through a rough patch with his fiance. He went away for a weekend and had awesome sex with this woman he met. It was a purely one night stand kind of thing, but it made him feel awesome and more confident in himself afterwards and he was able to go back home and fix things with his fiance (withholding the information about the whole cheating incident of course). This whole incident was okay because he needed to do this to "honor" himself and he was able to make a better relationship with his fiance. I'm pretty sure most other people will definitely not find this okay, I certainly don't. According to Access you need to let go of all pre-conceived notions of right and wrong and good and bad, because it doesn't exist, it's all just different "interesting points of veiws." I'd say some of their points if views are highly questionable.

BEWARE OF THIS CULT
This was the 1st book I read by Gary 'children are incredibly sexy' Douglas, like the author's others, it is full of confusion, noise and invented new age spiel and clearly written from 1 person's rather toxic point of view on relationships.
Plenty of loaded and divisive language and words with changed meanings and invented statistics with no reference to studies done. This book can't possibly help anyone, and certainly not a couple (something that apprently doesn't exist according to the author).
An attempt to get "spiritual" people to join his movement, split from their partners and become "accessories".

A nice little book.
I did love the idea of allowance .. it's something I aim to reach with/ towards everything in life.
but there are some interesting points of view though.

Something that I am not a big fan of .. is repeating all of the stories in Gary's and Dain's books .. It makes me feel like I'm repeating the books not reading a new one :/
