I received an ARC copy of this book.

If you love historical fiction, you will love this book. I don't read a lot of historical fiction, but I was swept up in the characters as they moved through their world, facing challenges and life's complications. I don't want to give the story away, but this takes place during the struggle for women's right to vote as a backdrop and the strict moral/class codes that complicated that time period.

The main character, Ruth Reid, wants to be a modern woman in a world not quite ready for her. Check out her story and see how she handles the challenges of being on the edge of the world in flux.
