'Amelia' is the story of truth and identity in a world where truth and identity are blurred. The year is 2040 and SAFER-U has almost achieved total global control through its advanced surveillance AIME. The story begins with John, or 44, who is a contract killer (cleaner) for SAFER-U HQ in London with no memory of his past. He loves his job and is eager to kill all those who are threats to order. He never once questioned his identity nor what truth was until he was sent to kill Amelia, a mysterious woman from his past who shows him the truth of his past. What truth will John Amelia or SAFER-U?
Within The SAFER-Universe, I experiment with narrative by attempting to create short, action-packed, YA stories told primarily from a first-person perspective with abrupt structural changes and liminal scenes that blur the lines between reality and fantasy, fact and fiction. My stories are character journeys in a world where truth and identity are blurred, focussing on the Christian themes of faith, hope, suffering, and will. My target audience would be seekers, agnostics, and Christians aged between 16 and 30, and those who find themselves unable to read those tedious 300-page beasts most authors publish.
Good concept and very relevant to today's day and age while being relatable to a broad range of readers. Maybe a book series is installed to continue on?!...
