Georgia Landaische has used her gift for healing people her whole life. But after the death of her father, the one person who refuses her help, she needs a new start. New Orleans offers a clean slate—a place for her to set up a small shop and use her power to do what she couldn’t for the person she wanted to the most. But when she meets an adorable little girl with a heart condition and her handsome father, Georgia finds that some things aren’t so easy to fix.
Matthew Laroux is known to be the best baker in town. As a single father to five-year-old Clara and owner of a small grocery business, his life has finally settled. His money-hungry ex-wife nearly destroyed him in the divorce, and all he wants is to protect his daughter from anything that might hurt her and keep himself free from entanglements. No more commitments and no more women. Well, except one. He takes her out on the town, and she leaves in the morning. No one gets hurt, and no one expects anything more. They have an understanding, and really, it’s the best of both worlds…until Georgia walks into his store and makes him rethink everything he ever thought he wanted.
But both soon learn that actions have consequences, and in a city like New Orleans, sometimes a little magic is needed to find your happily ever after.
Leslie began writing in college, creating short stories for friends, family or whoever wanted to read her paranormal romance stories. They’re her favorite genre, and you’ll never read anything without a supernatural spin.
Leslie is also the host of "Because I Wanna Know" podcast, where she chats with guests who have unique occupations or life experiences. Like a mortician, a near death experiencer, paranormal investigators, even a woman who escaped from a religious cult! You can find her on Apple, Spotify or wherever you listen to podcasts.
Leslie lives in Texas with her husband, son and daughter, and two very silly pugs.
Take a girl with untapped abilities, add in a hot single dad, mix in some New Orleans flavor, and OH MY HEAVENS! What a fantastic read Leslie has crafted for us! Georgia and Matthew are sooooo good! Totally loved how effortlessly Leslie added to the existing storyline and left me begging for more. Sooo glad Leslie returned to New Orleans!!
This book is set in Kristen Proby's Boudreaux Universe in New Orleans where there are mystical things that happen. Georgia and her twin brother, Geoff, move to New Orleans after the death of their father. They both have powers, Georgia can heal and Geoff can sense people's intentions. Georgia meets Clara, a little girl with a heart problem and senses that she can heal her. She meets Clara's father, Matt, and they are both drawn to each other. But mix in a witch who has put a "claiming" spell on Matt and an ex-wife and things get interesting. Georgia and Matt work together to overcome obstacles and Clara is clearly on their side.
This novel by Leslie Fear does not disappoint. I am new to this "universe" but I never once felt as if I didn't get something or was missing a part of the story. Ms. Fear has a way of setting a scene and describing situations, settings and feelings in a way that you are never left feeling as if you want more. Another winner.
Soo I am one of those people that love going in blind…and I am sooo glad I did that with Easy Fix By Leslie Fear!!
Holy crap, I was, truthfully blown away at how much I loved it…I mean to say that I have loved all the books I have read by Leslie Fear, but dang, this one just moved right up to #1...It is definitely now my fav by her!!!
She gave me those feels and made me not want to put the book down...and needed to know what was going to happen next!! Lol
Thanks for writing Leslie Fear...your books give me joy girlie! 💙
I wanted to love this book. I am a huge fan of Kristen Proby's Boudreaux series, and when I saw that this had some paranormal connections, I was excited. It started out really promising. As the story progressed, a lot of the problems just seemed to fall flat, though. There were too many issues, but not enough development. I would have preferred if there had been a few less problems and those had been drawn out a little more.
I liked the book enough to keep reading. I can see promise with this author.
I really liked this book!! It was fun to read and had romance plus lots of mystery. The characters were fun and I thought Clara was adorable!! All in all it was a very enjoyable book to read!
Really enjoyed her book! She made her characters very believable and you could feel the sexual tension coming off the pages! A spicy romance that pulls you into the magical world that is New Orleans. It makes you want to drive down south and see where the main character (Georgia) has set up shop. ✨
