Cuando me enteré de la existencia de este me llamó mucho la atención principalmente por la portada y al empezarlo a leer me encontré con una historía super fácil de leer y muy entretenida.
La historia Billie me pareció muy sencilla de adentrarse a ella. Es atrapante, llamativa y muy, muy romántica. Si están en algún bloqueo o quieren enamorarse fácilmente del libro que están leyendo, Moonstruck at Midnight es lo que andan buscando. Además, la autora es mexicana y publica independiente entonces hay que apoyar el talento nacional nnas 😘.
No se si fue intencional pero este libro se lee como un reverse harem y la verdad i really really liked it. Jamás me había leído una historia donde la prota tuviera tanto pretendiente y dejenme decirlos que eso hizo de esta historia algo sumamente rápido de leer y entretenido.
Mi queja principal es que a mi parecer, más allá del romance, este libro no te cuenta mucho. Puedo llegar a decir que tal vez sea porque este libro es el primero de una serie de 4 y que este se enfoca más en plantear las cosas. Por ejemplo, está todo el asunto de la mamá de Billie que creí sería punto principal pero no lo fue. Espero que esto se explote más en los siguientes porque tiene potencial.
Y pues nada, me uní al escándalo por esta serie que tomó las redes sociales por sorpresa y terminé encantando. Estoy emocionado por leer los siguientes. Ah y por cierto, soy #teamwilliam.

Hoy quiero convencerte a que empieces a leer la saga Moonstruck! Esto es con lo que te encontrarás una vez abras el primer libro:
- una pluma ligera
- historia súper rápida de leer
- drama amoroso y familiar

- gente millonaria
- una protagonista que madurará
- personajes con los que te encariñarás

- París y Nueva York
Me ha encantado poder leerlo y divertirme con los personajes, sobre todo encariñarme con William y Caleb, AAAAAAA los amo.
Por supuesto que he disfrutado muchísimo de Billie, nuestra protagonista que tras la muerte de su madre se verá enjaulada en su propia vida por la sobreprotección de su padre. Esto hace que ella, donde sea que vaya, debe ser acompañada por sus guardaespaldas, el problema es que nunca pensó que llegaría a sentir algo por uno de ellos, Caleb, sin embargo, al ver que él no comparte sus mismos sentimientos, decide olvidarse de él y conocer a más gente, entre ellos Thomas. La vida de Billie no es fácil y tendrá que mudarse a Nueva York dejando los placeres que le trajo su vida en París. Ahora, Billie no solo sentirá que sus sentimientos crecen cada día por Caleb y Thomas, sino que conocer a William le hará perder la cabeza.
Es la primera vez que leo a una prota con varios intereses amorosos y que lucha por sincerarse con solo uno. No, esta no es una historia de poliamor. Es una historia de conocerse a sí mismos y de darse cuenta en si pertenecemos a alguien o solo a nuestra propia sombra.

Primeroooooo, no suelo leer romance contemporáneo, pero el libro me capturó desde la portada. Es de esos libros que, sí o sí quieres leer porque se ven HER MO SOS.
Ahora, sobre la historia… la verdad no sabía nada y me costó un poco engancharme a la trama porque Billie me caía bien pero sentía que no estaban pasando muchas cosas. Desde el minuto 1 quería saber más de Caleb pero ajá, las cosas se van cocinando lentamente (muuuuy lentamente para mi alma que pide velocidad y acción 😂). El final me pareció un poco repentino, peeeero me gustó bastante.
No sabía que era un libro tan soft e inocente. Cuando leí que la prota tenía 20 y los amigos eran mayores, pensé esperar bastante drama, fiestas, escenas spicy y demás pero no. Es un libro que pueden leer desde los 15-16 sin problemas. Aunque si me hubiera encantaaado tener más acción en esos temas 😅
Btw el libro está en ingles pero se me hizo súper sencillo y rápido de leer, es un inglés básico e ideal por si están empezando a leer en otro idioma.
Tengo mis esperanzas puestas en el segundo 👀 ya veremos🙌

Ay... creo que vengo siendo una opinión impopular y me duele el corazón. No por ser esa opinión sino porque la autora me cae muy bien, es una tipaza y es súper linda, pero... la historia no fue para mí.
Mi principal problema con la historia fueron tres cosas.
1. Billie no me cayó bien, se los juro que lo intenté. Pero no pude congeniar con ella.
2. Que a todos los lugares a los que fuera Billie alguien se enamorada de ella. Ojalá así fuera en la vida real, lo amaría, pero no siento que eso pase.
3. No me gustan los triángulos amorosos, mucho menos los cuadrados amorosos. Porque Billie tiene tres intereses amorosos a lo largo de la historia.
Creo que eso de por sí habla por que no disfruté de la historia, y me duele porque entré con muchas ganas de amarlo, pero no fue así. La historia avanza pero no siento que Billie crezca como personaje, o puede ser mi impresión de por que no me cae bien.
Lo único que amo y respeto de la historia es la facilidad con la que se lee, es un abrir y cerrar de ojos ya se acabó la historia. Es muy rápida de leer y por otro lado también que te tienen intrigada del "por qué se murió su mamá", eso te tiene en suspenso todo el libro.

2.5, quizás luego de que digiera el libro lo redondee a 3 en Goodreads
Empezó bien, luego flojeó, luego remontó pero el final se me hizo un desastre. Billie empezó a actuar de una forma inesperada, varias de sus acciones y razonamientos parecían de la nada tomando en cuenta cómo había actuado y razonado a lo largo del libro. Y si bien esa escena final era con el personaje que me gusta para la pareja de Billie, la forma en que estaba actuando y razonando hizo que no me supiera tan bien todo.
Además de que 2 de los 3 intereses amorosos son unos imbéciles completos y absolutos.
Empezó bien, luego flojeó, luego remontó pero el final se me hizo un desastre. Billie empezó a actuar de una forma inesperada, varias de sus acciones y razonamientos parecían de la nada tomando en cuenta cómo había actuado y razonado a lo largo del libro. Y si bien esa escena final era con el personaje que me gusta para la pareja de Billie, la forma en que estaba actuando y razonando hizo que no me supiera tan bien todo.
Además de que 2 de los 3 intereses amorosos son unos imbéciles completos y absolutos.

Cuando comencé a leer este libro me prometí que me dejaría sorprender, ya que tenía muy buenas referencias del mismo. Quise ir sin expectativas a leerlo y resultó la mejor decisión que pude tomar, porque definitivamente me sorprendió mucho.
Una lectura sumamente adictiva y rápida de leer. Te va presentando personajes muy interesantes dejándote con la duda de que pasará con cada uno en el camino, y luego la historia se va cruzando hasta que de alguna forma todos terminan involucrados.
NO ES UN LIBRO +18, por lo tanto no cuenta con escenas de sexo explícito ni temáticas tan fuertes que puedan afectar al lector. De todas formas, toca algunas situaciones de las relaciones de pareja que son tratados con el debido respeto y sin dejar cabos sueltos en el camino con respecto a esos temas (por ejemplo, los celos y la dependencia emocional).
Lo recomiendo para personas que disfruten del romance liviano y adictivo, por ejemplo de novelas de wattpad pero llevadas a un siguiente nivel. Además, recomiendo mucho leerlo en conjunto con amigos/as, ya que cuando se comenta créanme que llega de una manera diferente.
Algunos aspectos de mejoras que me gustaría ver en las siguientes entregas podrían ser la profundización en la historia de la familia de Billie (en especial el tema de la muerte de su madre) y verla crecer en el tiempo, ya que es una novela contextualizada en el año 2009. Ver a Billie madurar y que las situaciones vividas en sus 20 años le hayan servido para tomar mejores decisiones, sería muy interesante.

When I started reading this book I promised myself that it would surprise me, since I had very good references to it. I wanted to go without expectations to read it and it was the best decision I could make, because it definitely surprised me (A LOT!).
Highly addictive and quick to read. It introduces you to very interesting characters, leaving you wondering what will happen to each one along the way, and then the story crosses until somehow everyone ends up involved.
IT IS NOT A +18 BOOK, therefore it does not have explicit sex scenes or themes so strong that they can affect the reader. However, it touches on some relationship situations that are treated with due respect and without leaving any loose ends in the way regarding those issues (for example, jealousy and emotional dependence).
I recommend it for people who enjoy light and addictive romance, for example from wattpad novels but taken to the next level.
Some aspects of improvements that I would like to see in the following books could be to delve into the history of Billie's family (especially the subject of her mother's death) and see her grow over time, since it is a novel contextualized in the year 2009. Seeing Billie mature and that the situations lived in her 20s have served her to make better decisions, it would be very interesting.

Aaaaaahhhh lo he terminado de leer, que les puedo decir? Primero que nada es un libro muy fácil de leer en inglés, es mi primer libro en inglés y lo disfruté muchísimo <3
El final no me lo esperaba, grite, de verdad me tomo por sorpresa hahaha pero me gusto mucho, siempre quise beso entre Caleb y Billie JAJA los amo demasiado <3 siempre quise a Caleb por todo lo que ha hecho por Billie pero debo aceptar que estoy muy triste por William, quiero llorar, porque #TeamWilliam lo amo demasiado, me encariñe y me enamore demasiado de él y de verdad quería que el y Billie terminaran juntos porque el era su Mary y ella era su Emily unu merecían su endgame, ni hablar de Thomas, a ese le traigo unas ganas de golpearlo, todo fue su culpa, por su culpa todo se arruinó y por un pastel :’v espero ver a William otra vez en el próximo libro porque si no, voy a llorar, de verdad disfrute tanto su existencia es tan precioso el, tan iconico, tan divertido, tan guapo, nunca voy a superar como le canto su canción favorita a Billie y como estuvo para ella cuando mas lo necesito, lo quiero abrazar, creo que fue tan lindo con Billie y ojalá nunca hubiera visto a Thomas y Billie besándose :c ay William porque no entendiste que no fue culpa de Billie? 3 ⭐️ I’m usually not into love triangles (or squares) but Alejandra made me a fan!!!
Summary:
Billie Murphy has lived a sheltered life. After years of living abroad with her father, a top US diplomat, she's used to staying in versus going out, having a security detail, and her non-existent dating life. But now that she's twenty years old and they're moving from Paris to New York, her father decides it's time to give Billie some independence by letting her live in her own apartment. Sure, she'll still need a security detail and everyone she meets will need background checks, but it's a start.
Within days of arriving in New York City, things start to get interesting. Billie rekindles a relationship with Thomas, a Princeton athlete she met briefly in Paris; she meets the Swedish family upstairs with the most gorgeous sons; and her long-term bodyguard and friend, Caleb, starts acting strangely overprotective.

My Thoughts:
First off, thank you, Alejandra, for sending me a copy of your book to read! I enjoyed Billie's story and can't wait to see what happens next!
I enjoyed the fast pace. The story is more character drive than plot drive, so the scenes tend to jump from one to the next relatively quickly, which I found a little jarring at first. But once I read a few chapters, I started to enjoy how quickly the story moved. This really allowed for the juicy drama to unfold rapidly, which I'm not complaining about.
Billie is an interesting MC. Her sheltered life has made her inexperienced, but I find that endearing. I enjoyed following her on this journey to learn about herself and find independence. And even though she is naive and wants to see the best in people, I like that she still has self-respect. (I'm specifically referring to how she handles Thomas).
Billie's relationships with Caleb, Thomas, and William are all so unique and interesting. Caleb is the safe guy who's always loved and protected her, Thomas is the the guy who offered her many firsts, and William is the hot Swedish guy who she can't figure out but he makes her heart flutter. Billie has chemistry with each, making decisions about her love life extremely difficult yet very entertaining for the reader to follow along.
Honestly, I don't even know who I want her to end up with, between Caleb and William. I love them both for entirely different reasons. Caleb is just so loyal and loves her for who she is, but William is an adorable flirt and secret softie. But between the nicknames 'Red' and 'Alskling' (which is darling in Swedish), I think I'll go with the second.
There were some parts of the story I didn't love or understand.
Billie's security detail left her alone in her room while injured with the ex-boyfriend they don't like. They're super protective of her, especially Caleb, so I really doubt they would allow this.
Sometimes, Billie is too naive. I know she is a bookworm and not super social, but you're telling me she doesn't recognize internationally famous movie stars. . . It does make sense but felt a bit unrealistic to me.
I would have liked to have seen her interact with more female characters. Out of 15 or so side characters, there are only 3 females: Lily, Nina, and Heather. She had two other girlfriends in Paris, but they don't show up once she leaves Paris.
Moonstruck at Midnight was an entertaining coming-of-age story. This story crept up on me, but once things started to heat up between Billie and a few of the guys, I couldn't put it down. I'm excited to see Billie's relationships with Caleb and William unfold (who will she choose????) and learn more about the shooting in Mexico City. I also have a feeling we are not done with Thomas yet, so I can't wait for all that drama! My guess is he's going to go full stalker mode, and someone's going to get hurt.

My Thoughts:
First off, thank you, Alejandra, for sending me a copy of your book to read! I enjoyed Billie's story and can't wait to see what happens next!
I enjoyed the fast pace. The story is more character drive than plot drive, so the scenes tend to jump from one to the next relatively quickly, which I found a little jarring at first. But once I read a few chapters, I started to enjoy how quickly the story moved. This really allowed for the juicy drama to unfold rapidly, which I'm not complaining about.
Billie is an interesting MC. Her sheltered life has made her inexperienced, but I find that endearing. I enjoyed following her on this journey to learn about herself and find independence. And even though she is naive and wants to see the best in people, I like that she still has self-respect. (I'm specifically referring to how she handles Thomas).
Billie's relationships with Caleb, Thomas, and William are all so unique and interesting. Ahora, en líneas generales el libro me entretuvo y engancho por personajes como Billie y William😍Yo soy fan número 1 de los clichés en libros de romance y sentí que la autora supo como manejarlo para mantenerte enganchado en toda la historia🙊
Por otro lado, siento que tuvo bajos en la trama y que me hubiera gustado conocer y que se desarrolle más a algunos personajes.

Este libro puede ser definido con esta palabra: adicción.
Cuando empiezas el libro y te metes en la historia no puedes parar de leer. Estás con el típico "un capítulo más" hasta que te obligas a soltar el libro.
La trama va básicamente de Billie. La hija de un embajador. Ella ha vivido en Francia por los últimos años gracias a un traslado por el trabajo de su padre. Está rodeada de seguridad por un problema relacionado con su madre (del cual no sabemos nada hasta más de la mitad del libro). Un día le avisan que volverá a New York y ahí comienza la aventura.
No sabría explicar bien que es lo que me tuvo tan atrapada en la historia. No sé si fue Billie, William o lo que pasaba. Simplemente no podía soltar el libro.
Claramente lo que más me gustó fue William. Es un personaje que conocemos un poco más adelante del inicio. Es encantador, coqueto, misterioso, guapo, simplemente tiene todo lo que me encanta en un personaje masculino.
Thomas es una red flag andante. No me cayó bien en ningún momento. Siempre me dio mala espina y me alegro de decir que esta vez no me he equivocado.
Estoy bastante intrigada con que pasará en la segunda parte de esta trilogía, aunque debo admitir que tengo mucho miedo por las reacciones de mis amigas a los dos siguientes libros.
¿Lo recomiendo? Sin duda. Tiene un inglés bastante simple y una trama normal. Así que lo recomiendo mucho para empezar en este idioma.

When Billie turns 20 she only has a couple of days left of her 4-year stay in Paris. One of her last nights she manages to convince her father, a US diplomat, to let her go out with some friends as a farewell party. That night she meets Thomas, a good-looking Princeton athlete. When they arrive to New York Billie gets her own apartment and she's looking forward to a bit more freedom. She still has her bodyguards, Caleb and Aaron, but she befriends a nice Swedish family who lives in the same building, and she keeps seeing Thomas. But Billie still needs to be alert, since she doesn't know why her mother was killed - or by whom.
I wasn't sure what to expect of this book but I was pleasantly surprised! It gave me some insight in how a guarded life could be, and I can understand Billie's frustration of being accompanied as soon as she leaves her apartment. However, I didn't really notice any signs of her ever being in danger, it felt more like Caleb and Aaron were her servants. Thomas gave me bad feelings almost from the beginning. Not that I expected him to harm Billie, but he was very jealous and controlling. The Swedish family made me think of the Skarsgård's, but I don't know if the author had them in mind when she "created" the family, or if it's just a coincident.
I don't usually like the eternal triangle trope, and here we even got a square...! Even so, I'm not overly concerned, but I'm having some difficulties with Billie's handling of the situation. Without revealing too much, let me just say that I know which team I'm on...!

But is it because he sees something about Thomas that she doesn't or because he may be more than just her bodyguard?
This book was one that crept up on me! It was a slow start at first, but as things heated up in this romance between Billie and a few of the men in her life, I couldn't put it down! I needed to know how it would pan out. And boy, was I surprised how it ended!
Billie's relationship with each man was unique and I was interestingly rooting for more than one of them to be the one she ends up with. I loved the intensity with which they seemed to be enamored with her. I wish I could say more but I won't so I don't spoil the plot.

WOOOOW wow wow wow. This book is a vortex...it truly just sucks you in!
I was lucky enough to get this gifted to me by Alejandra and I am so happy about it. This book is INCREDIBLE.
Synopsis:
After the particularly ominous death of her mother, Billie and her father are leaving Paris to return to NYC to settle down. Gifted with her own apartment, Billie finally finds some sense of freedom from the craziness of her life in the public eye. However, she is still being closely watched by her three bodyguards, Aaron, Caleb, and David. When Caleb starts to show apprehension about Billie's new beau, Thomas, things seem to change between the bodyguard/ client relationship they once held. And then to make things more complicated, throw in some Swedish neighbors who open Billie up to a life of wealth and beauty. 5/5 highly recommend!
If you are into love triangles (more like a love square, in this instance), NYC/Paris vibes, and a witty female protagonist, you will love this book. Alejandra also does a great job of addressing important issues like emotional abuse and mental health, all of which are thoughtfully written out and further explored in the upcoming books as well (or so I have heard :) )

I have to admit I have a bit of a book hangover after reading this one.
The story swept me up from the first page. I adore the main character, Billie. She's the daughter of a US ambassador, surrounded by wealth, a life of privilege, and yummy bodyguards. She's sheltered but not naive...oober rich but completely relatable.
As I became fully immersed in her roller coaster love life, I couldn't help but think there is a little more going on behind the scenes and now I can't wait to read book 2 because Alejandra set it up beautifully! I mean, a lot happens in this book but not enoooough.
Alejandra's world building is superb...her dialogue is fantastic. Her way of storytelling is entirely addictive and captivating; I couldn't turn the pages fast enough.
And just so there is no question about my intentions...#teamCaleb to the bitter end.
Also, can we please have a moment of silence for this cover...SWOON.

Me ha gustado mucho pero al principio me sentí un poco rara no sabía con exactitud a donde se dirigía la historia pero omg después es una cosa tan adictiva que no puedes soltarlo.
Los tres posibles amores de Billie, me parecieron en algún momento muy atractivos, Thomas en definitiva es el que menos me gusta, me cae mal en muchas ocasiones, me parece tan tóxico, William ay Dios mío al principio me caía fatal la verdad pero a medida que pasaba todo yo le sigo SIIII, ay es que que hombre pero mi corazón sin duda es para Caleb, Dios mío, lo amo mucho, me parece un hombre tan varonil, el es mi fav 🙈🫣🏃🏻♀️

This book was amazing. Definitely a new favorite. The way that Billie’s life changes so quickly and the way that she is so anxious because of it is so amazingly written. We’re shown her anxiety and fears. We’re shown her romance(s) and how she is as a partner. And I cannot wait to read book 2.

"The irony... We kept saying never, hoping for always."
En un principio me costó enganchar con la historia de Billie, pero desde la mitad en adelante todo se vuelve muy adictivo, necesitaba saber qué iba a pasar con urgencia y lo terminé casi de un tirón. Ya llegando al final estaba muy metida esperando que el chico que yo quería para Billie hiciera algo.
La historia siendo liviana toca temas propios de las relaciones de pareja que pueden llegar a ser duros de enfrentar, como relaciones tóxica y dependencia emocional, pero la autora supo manejarlos de tal forma que no quedaran cabos sueltos o sin tratar.
Me gusta mucho la dinámica que se genera entre la protagonista y sus intereses amorosos, sí, en plural, porque llega un punto en que ya no sabes con quién se va a quedar. Pero sobretodo amo la dinámica que tiene con Caleb, uno de sus guardaespaldas.
Aunque fui fiel durante la mayor parte del libro a mi #TeamCaleb, debo decir que ya por el final casi me convencen de cambiarme al #TeamWilliam, pero ya veremos que pasa en la segunda parte.
Me hubiese gustado un poco más de profundización en ciertos temas, como la muerte de la mamá de Billie o su propio desarrollo y crecimiento como personaje, pero estoy segura que tendremos más de esos en los siguientes libros.
Es un libro de lectura rápida, está escrito en un inglés muy sencillo, lo recomiendo mucho para alguien que quiere empezar a leer en este idioma.

En un principio me costó enganchar con la historia de Billie, pero desde la mitad en adelante todo se vuelve muy adictivo, necesitaba saber qué iba a pasar con urgencia y lo terminé casi de un tirón. Ya llegando al final estaba muy metida esperando que el chico que yo quería para Billie hiciera algo.
La historia siendo liviana toca temas propios de las relaciones de pareja que pueden llegar a ser duros de enfrentar, como relaciones tóxica y dependencia emocional, pero la autora supo manejarlos de tal forma que no quedaran cabos sueltos o sin tratar.
Me gusta mucho la dinámica que se genera entre la protagonista y sus intereses amorosos, sí, en plural, porque llega un punto en que ya no sabes con quién se va a quedar. Pero sobretodo amo la dinámica que tiene con Caleb, uno de sus guardaespaldas.
Aunque fui fiel durante la mayor parte del libro a mi #TeamCaleb, debo decir que ya por el final casi me convencen de cambiarme al #TeamWilliam, pero ya veremos que pasa en la segunda parte.

Billie Murphy es una chica que se prepara para regresar a Nueva York después de estar un tiempo viviendo en Paris por el trabajo de su padre, un hombre importante que se preocupa mucho por la seguridad de su hija a raíz de un incidente, por lo que ella no va a ningún lugar sin seguridad y siempre está con sus guardaespaldas.
Una vez en la gran manzana, ella quiere un poco de independencia y privacidad, así que se muda a un edificio de departamentos en donde conoce a una familia Sueca que vive unos pisos arriba y que definitivamente le cambian la vida. Pero también entran en su vida otras personas, y aunque Billie sea algo confiado, si guardaespaldas, amigo y amor platónico Caleb siempre está a su lado para cuidarla.
Primero que nada, está es una historia muy rápida de leer, está palomera, entretenida y ni se siente, pero no hay mucho más en esta primera entrega.
Billie me cayó bien, pero medio mundo le gusta y me desesperaba que siempre estaba metida en un lío de pantalones (un lío de faldas en masculino [?]) y no cuenta mucho la historia, la verdad, pero me dejó picada.

Si hablara de libros que me sorprendieron gratamente, este libro sería el primero en venir a mi mente, lo comencé con 0 expectativas y honestamente no me arrepiento de nada; es simple, contagioso y romántico, todo lo que necesita una persona que ya está un poco agobiada con tanta fantasía y necesita un cambio.
Creo que la historia fue bastante entretenida de leer, hubo un punto en el libro en que ya no podía parar de leer, siempre hay algo nuevo que aprender. De mis lecturas favoritas del mes de Julio, 100% recomendado, sobre todo si están en algún bloqueo lector.

It started a little slow for me. I didn’t like how naive and sheltered Billie was at the beginning of the story. It definitely improved from the second half of the book till the end.
I liked how the character changed and grew through out the story. I like how her “first” love wasn’t her HEA and that she learned from that experience.
I love the guys! But definitely team B.
I don’t know how I feel about her jumping from one guy to another. I’d like to see her figure out the woman she wants to become on her own. Be single for a couple of chapters.
We’ll see on book 2! Can’t wait!

Billie 👩🏻🦰 tiene 20 años y vive en Paris 🇫🇷 con su papá, que es un diplomático muy importante. Está a punto de irse a vivir a NYC, donde su papá le regala un depa espectacular y la deja al cuidado de sus guardaespaldas, entre ellos Caleb 🧔🏻♂️🔥. Conoce a la familia de arriba, y sale William a escena 👱🏼♂️🔥, y empieza un triangulo entre ellos tres que nunca sabes de que team eres. Vas viendo como crece emocionalmente Billie en cada uno de los libros y la tensión entre los personajes principales está espectacular.
Me gustó la serie, me encantaron los personajes, (la pregunta aquí es ¿team Caleb o team William?) y la manera de escribir de la autora es espectacular. Los diálogos, los mensajes de texto entre los personajes me encantaron. Me gustan las series por que llegas a entender mas a los personajes y a verlos crecer y los acompañas y eso me gustó de esta serie. Si eres fan de las series 🔥 y de triángulos amorosos vas a amar esta.

Me obligaron a leer este libro para ser honesta, y como estaba leyendo solo fantasía lo empecé para ir intercalando como algo más ligero. No contaba con engancharme tanto y dejar mis lecturas de lado sólo por este. Si bien, antes leía solamente clichés, siempre leí el mismo tipo. Nunca leí algo de guardaespaldas, y me fascinó jajja.
Lo que más me gustó del libro definitivamente fue lo coherente de la historia con la vida de Billie. No hubo decisiones o pensamientos de ella que no calzaran con su historia, y por mucha rabia que me haya dado a veces con sus decisiones o cosas que decía, entendía perfectamente que era por el cómo fue formada y la realidad que ella vive.
El romance me encantó! No quiero decir mucho porque siento que todo es spoiler JSJSJJ pero realmente es muy bueno. Ver facetas y matices, ver manipulaciones, ver amor verdadero, o caprichos, etc. Era un amor a los 20 totalmente creíble y nada era 100% malo ni 100% perfecto. Al menos para mi estuvo muy bueno jajja
Algo que no me gustó mucho del libro fueron algunos personajes, que sentía que solo existían y no aportaban mucho, pero entiendo que este es el primero libro y quizá solo fue una pincelada de lo que rodea al mundo de Billie y más adelante se ahondará más en ellos. Sin embargo por un gusto personal, siempre he preferido que se presenten bien los personajes en un principio y no más adelante.
Si me preguntan si es que lo recomendaría, yo diría que sí. Es una lectura ligera que se lee muy rápido y fácil, que en una tarde puede acabarla o que te puede acompañar en trayectos de metro etc; haciendo que sea muy sencillo de leer<3
El 6 sale el segundo libro y ya quiero ver como continúa su historia!

My second read and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Overall 4.5
The story revolves around Billie who is moving from Paris to New York. Being her first time out on her own after living a "sheltered life", Billie is trying her best to navigate her new life and "freedom".
Billie is a MC who is endearing and I really enjoyed her journey in finding her ownself and independence. Even though she lived such a sheltered life for so long, you could tell she was naive in so many ways but had self-respect for herself and others as well. She is so trusting and just wants to see the good in everyone.
I normally don't like multiple love interest in books. But the way, Alejandra wrote Billie's relationships with Caleb, Thomas, and William were all very unique and interesting. I'm already going to admit I'm #TeamWilliam
But looking forward to see how Billie continues to grow throughout the series and eventually learn who she ends up with in the end!

Ok guys WOW. 🤩 When I tell you this author had me drawn into every part of Billie’s world, I’m not exaggerating. As the story went on I became more emotionally invested in each of the relationships and to be honest my heart is torn with which team I’m on. This is an amazing story about gaining the freedom to figure out who and what you want for yourself. The love twists just real you in to want more. The only negative thing I have to say is this left me bursting at the seams for the next book.... I emotionally don’t know if I my heart can wait to see where this goes lol I need the next book like yesterday!!!!
