About the author

Imani Shola is an award-winning poet, author, student and creative from London.

At age fourteen she became a Commended Winner of the Foyle Young Poet of the Year Award.

Her debut collection of self-care poetry and affirmative notes for broken hearts, Heart Shards and Lip Balm, was published in July 2017. Her second book, Messy Loving, centres on relationships and was published in 2021.
