In my Defence I was about to read an angst filled book so I needed my JK especial smutty courage. I swear I planned to read that said angst filled book More than Enough by Jay McLean right after finishing this one, but what the heck Jessa released another book on March 22th and that too on Bully Romance 😤 and I-

I thought I should read some JK smut in between books because I don't know what to pick next and I'm afraid I'll pick something bad. But I was disappointed with this one, so maybe I'm not in the mood, or this just didn't like this one.

I won't say it wasn't realistic, because none of her books is, maybe it was the virgin trop, or I didn't like the daddy issues, or the coach situation...

I don't know how she does it. How she can give you an entire story in 81 pages and make you feel satisfied.

The awesomeness this story gives you:
1. Daddy kink done right and not creepy.
2. Mild age gap (21 and 29) where the heroine isn't a twit.
3. Coach's daughter - which you figure that out already, obviously.
4. Smut-fucking-tastic.
5. Virgin heroine.
6. And last but not least extreme insta-love that makes you all happy inside instead of annoyed as fuck.

“For all I know, this man is her boyfriend. Or husband. I’m surprised to find I don’t care. I’m taking her home either way. If this prick is her boyfriend, they just broke up. If they’re married, we’ll get those papers signed. I’m not going anywhere without her.”

If you are looking for a quick and dirty book while waiting for your hair to process (which is what I did), this is fucking perfect.

“It’s time to catch my sperm, you horny little thing,” he growls into my ear, hips pistoning madly. “Here they come. Welcome them home like a good girl.”

Seriously, what is wrong with me that that makes me tingle a little inside. If you haven't read a Jessa Kane, I hope this changes your mind and I'll just say.......

Pretty fast pace and some steam and dash of drama.

Eric is new in town and he has his eyes set on a certain team and he sees his future wife being harassed so he gets involved. Ans the sparks fly between them but Greta has a rule she doesn't date basketball players.

This makes Eric do something kinda dumb he ask the new coach he'll sign with the team if he gets his daughter lol and when Greya finds out lol she does put up a fight but Eric wine's her heart up she gives him a chance but Eric kept a tiny secert that blows up in his face. 

No ow/om drama, no cheating, slight drama, Sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore

"Coach's Daughter" is the story of Greta and Eric.

What is JK doing to me? Angst, smut, drama and romance in one book. Ooof!

Obsessed basketball star hero takes one look at the heroine, and falls head over heels in love with the hero. She has a rule not to mess with basketball players, and he decides to take matters in his own hand. How this obsessed man crosses lines of sanity, while respecting the heroine's wishes and genuinely wanting her to be all in forms the story.

It was fabulous and I loved it! The heroine was bratty but not unlikable.

There’s some daddy/lg kink in this one but nothing too strong. And the mouth on Eric 🥵🥵🥵 that man could melt your pantries purely through his words.

Argumento:

Greta Welding no sale con jugadores de baloncesto. Teniendo en cuenta que tengo planes de convertirla en mi esposa, tengo una seria objeción a esa regla. Desgraciadamente, mi futura esposa
es tan terca como hermosa y si la quiero para siempre, tendré que ser creativo. Su padre es mi nuevo entrenador, pero eso tampoco me va a detener. Si quiere un campeonato, primero me dará a Greta.





Mí humilde opinión:

Este de Jessa estuvo bien, lo disfruté, corto, sexy y fácil de leer. Aunque tuvo cosas que me gustaron como el deporte y un insta muy intenso con algo de angustia, tuvo otras que no me gustaron tanto.

Algo que no soporto en las escenas de amor son los castigos de nalgadas y la otra es que la heroína llame 'Papi' al héroe. Estaba súper feliz leyendo este intenso romance hasta que sale de Greta el Papi, porqueeeee?? Quería arrancarme los pelos! Así que ahí va un punto menos a la historia.

Eric estaba tan dispuesto a tener a Greta que tenía la intención de intercambiarla a su padre por un contrato para jugar en el equipo. Y aunque se da cuenta de lo que hizo y se arrepintió nunca se lo dice a ella.

Él sabía lo que pensaba ella sobre los atletas que siempre compraban lo que querían y él fue y le probó ser así. Aunque lo hacía para no perderla no estuvo bueno para nada.

Esto me tiró el héroe para abajo, quería odiarlo pero luego le demuestra a Greta que sin ella no funciona, que la ama y que en verdad siente haberle mentido. Sufre su parte y creo que se redimió. No pude evitar suspirar por su firma falsa en el contrato: Señor Greta Welding.

Greta hace luchar a Eric por ganar su corazón, comprendí su recelo por los atletas, así que me gustó ella en el sentido de que no era tonta, se hacía escuchar.

Greta y Eric explotaban como pirotecnia, dios mio, vapor, vapor, vapor! Mucha química y pasión.

Me encantó el epílogo a 10 años con las hijas, la pasión entre ellos seguía igual que el día en que se conocieron.

3.5 stars… I got what I was expecting. LOL. I’m not into the daddy kink and tbh just ended up reading this book for the story, not the sex. It’s a cute story, although the hero def crossed the line from possessive into crazy stalker a few times.

It was pretty hot until the first Daddy. 😭

It’s not my thing y’all. Yet I was willing to ignore it. Until both the hero and heroine began to act all stubborn. She didn’t want to be conquered by a basketball god. He didn’t want to compromise and perhaps lose her. 🥸

Then the hero goes and tricks the heroine. I agree he had to pay. Just… the angst didn’t hit. It didn’t even feel genuine; too dramatic for the quick resolution. In another blink they were back to bed.

The spice was 🔥🔥🔥🔥 though, which is where the whole rating comes from.

Romance Safety:

The Hero was celibate for years. He also didn’t drink (kind of hot to think he has that much self-control and lost it all the moment he saw the heroine). The heroine was a virgin. Very little experience (she didn’t even attempt a self-loving care routine). There is so slight OM drama- the creepy kind- he tried to out something in her drink!! Good think the Hero dealt with him. No cheating. Hero is completely obsessed. HEA. Epilogue 10 years forward with kids.

I’m going to start labeling Jessa Kane books that have daddy kink because she is obviously obsessed with the idea, while I’ve read my share of Jessa Kane and am growing tired of it.

Greta Welding is an NBA coach’s daughter. She doesn’t date basketball players because she knows that most of them will do whatever to get what they want, and they generally tire of their toys quickly. Greta has experience in feeling like an item; her father paid off her mother to have Greta with him so it would look good for his career.

Eric the “Silent Assassin” is a highly adored basketball player. He notices Greta defending herself one night and is instantly obsessed. He tries to woo her, her not dating basketball players is an obstacle he won’t let stand between them. He tries to manipulate her into marriage with his basketball contract; offering to sign in return for her hand. But Eric is not like the rest. He listens to Greta’s concern and changes his approach. It works, but unfortunately, his signing a fake name on his contract to have something to hold over her, comes back to bite him.

Eric was obsessed, and possessive. But I enjoyed his ability to step back and move with Greta, like I image he would with an opponent. I also appreciated Greta’s strength and her holding to her boundaries. She didn’t just roll over and let Eric have his way, she made sure to get her way too.

short and fast read. idk, it just didn't pull me in.

eric (29) saw greta (21) in a bar and got obsessed immediately. he found out she's his new coach's daughter but that didn't deter him from getting her. hence, he added her as another stipulation before he signs to the team. he would only do it if greta marries him. which pissed off greta and he backtrack a little bit by saying he would sign, but she has to give him a chance. he made a show of signing but he didn't really put his name in the contract, totally unbelievable if you would ask me, people should double check everything in a confidential document.

anywaaay, she gave him a chance then she found out he lied about signing his name. they got separated for 8 days. he was running out of ideas how to make her forgive him, he even contemplates kidnapping her 😂 but then greta realize she loves him and she eventually forgave him. they got their HEA and an epilogue (10 years later, married with 2 daughters)

overall, this is still a good read. ott insta-lust / insta-love. still fun it readers want to pass some time.


note:

- eric isn't a manhoe, he only slept with someone once and he didn't do it again. he put all of his focus in basketball.
- greta is a v-card holder, shocking, and had aversion when it comes to basketball players thanks to the awful things she saw as a coach daughter.

Another story from Jessa Kane that I really enjoyed!! Eric wasn't a bad guy, he did some stupid shit to get Greta and he felt guilty about it the whole time. Even when he had his little "safety net", he felt bad and it's hard to hate the guy with the name he signed on the contract. That's why this story worked so well for me, he really didn't want to force Greta into anything, even when he could have used the contact against her/them, he knew he would ultimately lose her if he didn't let her go. So he does the right thing and he lets her go--sorta. No real alpha caveman would ever *truly* leave his woman, but he did give her the space she needed while showing that he wasn't giving up on them, not even because of his stupid decision. And I love that Greta wasn't a doormat who has absolutely no control over her own libido. She shuts Eric down a couple of times even though her body is saying yes and it wasn't easy to do. Her decision to forgive him and give him a second chance was truly her decision.

Pero ese ambiente no es lo suyo... Hasta que ve a Greta. Puede que ella sea la hija del entrenador pero pronto será suya, aunque tenga que jugar sucio.

Es una historia corta y rapida. Tiene un momento pequeño de drama pero nada importante que se resuelve en una página o dos. Es recomendable para pasar el rato ya sabéis 😁

this book was so good. the obsession and amount of love the Hero had for the heroine? perfection. i seriously don’t know how such a short book can honestly bring me so much emotion. another short, tooth-achingly sweet book.
