Maggie Lee has done some really questionable things, but she’s never stooped so low as to steal a child’s toy. There’s a first time for everything.

Maggie’s life is always complicated, but her tenuous balancing act becomes even more dangerous when she’s given the job of stealing a teddy bear from the grandson of the mobster Delveccio.

As she struggles to keep the different facets of her life separate, her family faces multiple threats to their safety, and there’s a very real chance she won’t be able to protect everyone she loves.

Her best chance at success depends on the help of her pets…and you can bet they all have something to say about that.

Maggie is up to her eyeballs as usual. In this action packed installment Maggie races to help Griswald. So much is going on and her animal gang are with her all the way. LOVED this! Warning - be prepared to be up all night once you start this!

Maggie's allegiances are tested by receiving a job from Whitehat to steal from the Delveccios. Zeke is supporting her while Patrick & Gino are vying for her affection. The animal menagerie comes to the rescue in this exciting adventure that has Maggie working to save Griswald while holding the family together. Nothing is what it seems as the attempts on the Lee family increase and a surprising decision by Maggie ups the ante of her assassin job.

The mystery in this one was very good. I overlooked the clues and was left with my mouth hanging open at the end. High five to JB Lynn for the surprise. This was one of the best of the bunch.

Loved this book! This story has Maggie (our favorite hitwoman), being tasked to steal a bear...from a child. Maggie has done lots of questionable things, but this might just push her too far. As she struggles to find a solution, somehow, feeling like the least competent person in her family, she is also the one that everyone turns to for help. She is overwhelmed, but loves each member of her kooky family, both human and animal, and will do anything to help them....she just didn't understand just how far she'd have to go.

I love the characters in this series and how Maggie has grown and changed over the series. I especially love her relationship with the animals and how her eclectic menagerie is always there to help her. This is a fun book, with some laugh out loud moments, along with some poignant moments.

If you enjoy the genre, you will love this book. This is a stand alone novel, however, its so good that you really owe to yourself to read them all. The author is on my must read authors' list.

Best in the series!!

I have enjoyed every book in this series, each one better than the excellent one preceding it. But honestly, author JB Lynn is going to have to work miracles to write anything better than this one!

Maggie has more than ever on her to do list. This time she has to save an US Marshall, a man she seems to be falling for, a little boy, a mobster, her family and basically the world, as well as her beloved menagerie. The pages couldn't be turned fast enough as I raced through the book.

Every vivid scene and action was so well articulated that at times I think I was watching everything happen as I read. If you have read this series you are going to love this crazy episode.

If you happened across this review and never read a Hitwoman book, you are in for 26 funny yet serious books introducing you to a whole new world! Incredible, hilarious, and unlike any other book.

I love this series. JB Lynn, aka Jen, has a sense of humor that is so quirky, it has to be real. She gives life to the talking animals that Maggie, her grandfather and half brother all can talk to. It is a hoot. A chuckle a chapter. This wild menagerie led by God, short for Godzilla, the lizard, get Maggie out of many life-threatening scrapes. In this book, she is tasked with stealing a teddy bear that has a chip inside that can activate a nuclear event. Of course, it is in the possession of her mob boss, who doesn't know what is in it. Everything moves fast and the animals make it all a crazy exercise in synchronized behavior. You'll love it!

One of the funniest murder mystery out there

I've read every book in this series and have loved everyone. Maggie and her menagerie of animals makes for great reading. I'm happy Maggie no longer loves Patrick, but trusts him to save her. I think her newest love interest is a fabulous plot twist. Zeke's declaration of love was surprising and it's too bad that the time is not right for a romance between the two. One other question, who is Ms. Whitehat to Maggie? I foresee any interesting twist coming our way.

Getting better with each volume!

J.B.s stories are just getting better and better with each new book added to the story lines! I started with the Hit Woman series and was instantly smitten with it. Then came the Cursed Chicks books and I fallen in love with them too! What's a woman to do but sit and wait anxiously for the next edition to appear. You won't be disappointed that's for sure!

Love these books!

I usually don't do reviews because I don't have much to say, but I am making an exception now. I love the characters & the story lines. I love that Maggie has so many animal friends that she can talk to & that she has such a big heart. There is a little bit of murder and mayhem & a lot of funny situations with a little romance thrown in. I would recommend these books and this author to anyone.

Grand slam again! Maggie is the go to person in her family. She has to do whatever it takes to help everybody in her life. Not the role she chose to play in her life but the one that chose her. It’s another great story in a great series. Great writing you feel like you have been dropped right into the story and Maggie’s life. You will enjoy it!

Love, Love, Love this series

I have read every book in this series and look forward to the next. I don't know that you would call this paranormal, but the 'talent' to speak to animals and the situations that they get involved in are 'nail-biting'.... Can't wait for the next adventure.

Maggie is always juggling a several balls at once and this book is more of the same. With so much going on she needs a little help from all her pets and there more than willing to help. There's something about these stories that makes you want to read it all in one go. You can easily sit back and relax and enjoy and be entertained. Then there's that Gino.

Just wow

This book was excellent. I was laughing, crying, and by the last few chapters I thought I was drinking 10 cups of espresso. The little bits and pieces thrown here and there of the loose wire, cccooo, and the stealing the bear had me so riveted trying to understand what was going on. Then the total conclusion omg this one will be hard to top.

staying alive

This series is hilarious and interesting. Maggie is trying to save everyone however she always leaves herself last. This time she is trying to not let the people in her life know about each other. I hope her and Gino end up together because he is a good one for her to be involved with.

I love this series but I liked it a bit more when the books were more stand alone. I had forgotten some of the details of the overarching plot thread. It is still a great quick read if you are short on time but in need of some entertainment.
