Growing up as an Eldin vagabond, Gigi has lived her life on the outskirts of cities and been regarded as the scum of society, dreaming of a better life she never imagines will be hers.
When she saves a young man from drowning and receives news of her uncle's death, these two events send the life she knows on a different course.
I’m not giving this book a rating cause I’m not sure how I feel about it. Things I know need to be fixed. Davin and Everly storyline needs to be stronger, I love Davin and wanted more of him I need to make Gigi 16 instead of 17, it fits more with where she is at maturity wise Need more grandparent scenes Also the grandmother is genuine Less description, more internal struggle Take away Gigi reading great thinkers, completely contradicts the story, she can read but having her be brilliant then completely stupid around the court makes zero sense It needs to be longer and shorter all at the same time so solve that dilemma The relationship between Gigi and Thayer’s needs to be stronger
If you're reading this book, get ready for heartbreak, happiness, anger and a whole lot of other emotions you never knew you were once capable of feeling.
This was such a wholesome read. I loved the storyline and movement of the book, not a long novel so it’s fairly fast paced. Also such a unique and cool plot line!
