Is it even possible to fall for a guy in one night? Can one night change your life completely? The answer for me is yes. One night at the Satan’s Outlaws club changed everything. One night with a mountain of a man they call Mammoth, a man that any normal person would be terrified of, but not me. I saw past that. He didn’t scare me; he drew me in and made me feel safe, loved even. I will never forget that night, I will never forget him. How can I when each and every day I am reminded of him? Reminded each and every time I look at my son. Our son, my beautiful lie.
Riley may have thought that one night was enough for Mammoth and that she was forgotten, but the truth is, one night was never going to be enough for him. But is he too late? Has he left it too long? Something has changed her and gone is the fiery red-head he once knew, and in her place is a guarded woman with darkness behind her eyes.
One night, a beautiful lie and a darkness that not only threatens to destroy them but may also help to bring them together.
Beautiful Lie, Book two in the Satan’s Outlaws series. A dark MC romance full of foul-mouthed bikers, violence and sassy women.
I'm a self published author. I fell in love with reading as an adult, when I found the romance genre. I immediately got sucked into the stories and fell in love. The romcom, the dark, the Suspense, all of them!
I struggled a lot with reading and writing when I was younger. Being dyslexic made it extremely hard for me, but I loved writing stories even then.
I wrote Rise Above in secret too scared and embarrassed that it wasn't good enough, that people would laugh at it, at me. My husband pushed me to take the leap. So I did. Not having an editor to start with and a friend making my cover it scary jumping into a world your unsure of what to do. Learning as I go. Its the best decision I ever made. The response was amazing. I am currently working on the rest of the series. And plan on writing until I run out of words. I love it and one thing I've learnt is you only live once and you should to do what you love and what makes you happy. I hope that people enjoy my stories as much as I enjoy writing them.
She’s done it again! LG Campbell has completely blown me away with another epic story in this amazing world.
I loved catching up with all the Satan’s & the Rocke family, and Mammoths story was a real page turner. Poor Riley had such a rough ride. Life was cruel but she was a fighter and the perfect girl for Mammoth. Mammoth was everything I knew he would be and more. The rock that everyone needed.
I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but buckle up. Mammoth and Riley’s story is a wild, crazy, funny and heartbreaking one. One moment I was crying, the next laughing at Nan or one of the other hilarious characters LG Campbell is so amazing at writing. And can I just add, Mufftown still makes me laugh every time I read it!
Beautiful Lie is book #2 in The Satan's Outlaws series, a spinoff to The Rocke series. This is not a standalone, book #1 Hidden Truths must be read first. I really did enjoy reading the Hidden Truths, it was my first MC romance. The Hero, Mammoth made a brief cameo appearance in Hidden Truths, a build up to Beautiful Lie. I was looking forward to reading this one. The storyline surprised me to say the very least. It was definitely unexpected. There are certain triggers in this book, hence this might be unsettling for some readers to read. Yes, there are some scenes that might make you feel uncomfortable to read. However, L.G Campbell did a fantastic job, I was amazed at her writing technique and how well she executed this plot. Just like Hidden Truths, Beautiful Lie really picked up towards the second half of the book. I wasn't able to stop myself from putting it down, I needed to know what was going to happen next. My blood went cold at what Riley lived through, all my emotions were heightened and my heart went out to her. She's such an amazing character. After living through this horrible incident, Riley is still trying to be strong. However, she's afraid and ashamed to tell anyone, especially Mammoth. I'm glad that eventually she told him, she desperately needed someone to share the heavy burden she carried.
After spending one night together, Mammoth couldn't forget Riley. She had a secret, that she kept from Mammoth for two years, their son. Riley wanted to reach out to Mammoth many times, but was afraid of his ties to The Satan's Outlaw club. When Mammoth and Riley cross paths, he has no intention of letting her go again. Riley is trying recovering from a horrific incident, she desperately wants to forget about it and move on. When Mammoth becomes aware of what Riley went through, he will do everything in his power to bring justice. To protect the woman he loves and his son.

I have been waiting on Mammoth’s story since we met him in Hidden Truth’s, the first book in the Satan’s Outlaw Series. And LG Campbell did not disappoint when it came to his story! This story…. man, the ride it took me on is almost indescribable. My emotions were all over the place. I am a huge fan of the secret baby trope, so this story was right up my alley. The things that Riley went through are horrendous and horrible to imagine. There is a trigger warning so please be aware of that before reading this story. Trust me, it is a brutal story during those parts. But the healing that Riley goes through helped make up for my heart being ripped out. It was refreshing to see a FMC actually go through the healing process and not have the trauma swept under the rug or a time jump where she is automatically over it all. Going on the journey of recovery with the character helped me to connect with her more. And Mammoth…. he was perfect through everything with Riley. Of course, his anger over the child she kept from him was warranted. But how he supported Riley and their son and took care of everything so she could continue to heal was amazing. And the whole Satan’s Outlaws. They took Riley in and made her family. No questions asked. The love and acceptance that each member showed tell you why they are a family before above all else. LG Campbell has this amazing talent of being able to write stories that rip out your heart and then put it back together by the end. The stories she weaves will leave you broken and bleeding from all the emotions she pulls from you. Then she will slowly start putting the pieces back together. They may not be just like they were before, but I love how they are all connected by the end. LG has managed to take a trope I have read many times before and turn it into a new and mesmerizing story that I never want to end. I look forward to seeing where she takes me with the rest of Satan’s Outlaws.
This was a great book. It still breaks my heart every time I read Wes' name. But this was Mammoth's story and we have been waiting for it. Like always, LG Campbell didn't disappoint. The book was so good that I had to finish it in one sitting, and now I'm regretting it because I don't have anything to read. So I hope LG Campbell has another book coming out soon. LG Campbell, thank you for these wonderful stories you write for us to enjoy!
I loved reading Mammoth and Riley’s story. It’s a dark, twisty, angsty and heartbreaking ride that absolutely gutted me in places but there is a lot of humour as well. It’s a beautifully written story that had me captivated from start to finish.
Mammoth and Riley have a one night stand and 2 years later Riley is a single mum to a beautiful boy trying to move on with her life and get over Mammoth. She’s met someone else but he’s not all he seems to be. Cue mammoth coming in to save the day.
The chemistry between Mammoth and Riley is everything. Mammoth is completely swoonworthy, protective and knows what he wants. He’s everything you want in a hero. Riley is a strong heroine and I loved watching her heal from her ordeal.
I loved this story so much that I read it in a few hours. TRIGGER WARNING, there is an assault scene but it’s written with a lot of care and didn’t leave me feeling uncomfortable reading it.
OH MY GOODNESS, what another beautiful MC romance by this author. I read it in one sitting. It grabs you from beginning to end. I have to say this one's a bit on the lighter side with regards to one's emotions compared to the first one, although it comes with a huge trigger warning.
Mammoth is such a wonderful man. He was only a slight bit of an ahole towards Riley once he found out about the secret she's keeping from him, he got over it quickly. She had her reasons why, I on the other hand felt she could have really made the effort to talk to him about her secret and discuss her concerns. But that is just me.
I loved Riley and Joey together. They just put a smile on your face. Riley also has two wonderful parents who loves her so much and support all her decisions she makes with regards to her life and the secret. I loved Riley's character, she's a strong person and cared so much for everyone, even after everything that happened to her.
The villain in this book was really a sadistic evil person, and that is why there's a huge trigger warning.
Overall this was an amazing book.
I'm hoping that Rubble's book is next. I really would like to know about him and Serena if something's going to happen there.
Well done Ms Campbell on yet another fantastic read.
This story has some very dark themes that took me by surprise.
Mammoth and Riley have a one night stand that leads to a surprise baby. However, miscommunications keep them separated.
Riley starts a new relationship where she believes she will be safe and this is far from the truth. I do appreciate the author included that she got the help she needed to recover.
When Mammoth officially re-enters her life and discovers their child and later her trauma, he goes into full on protective mood but also shows his commitment to her.
This book was much darker than I normally prefer. This series is a spin off of the Rocke series which I have not read. It has many of the same characters and there were a few points where I felt lost because I was not familiar with everyone in the club, there were a number of members mentioned and very basic connection descriptions.
I would recommend this book to someone interested in dark MC romance but also advise they start at the beginning of the Rocke series.

Beautiful Lie was Heartbreakingly Beautiful. From the first word until the very last I was drawn into the Satan's Outlaws world and captivated by Mammoth's and Riley's emotional story. One steamy night between Mammoth and Riley created a Beautiful Lie and caused some life changing decisions. But when the past enters the present and secrets are revealed is forgiveness possible? Or will a Beautiful Lie become ugly and finally break them? Their journey to a HEA put my heart and emotions through wringer. As I devoured this dark, twisted, suspenseful, action packed, heartbreaking, and beautiful story I held my breath in anticipation, gasped in shock, swooned over the big burly Mammoth, smiled and laughed at some of the club members antics, cried like a damn baby, and rooted for these characters to seek some truly deserved revenge. What a Ride! What a Journey! And that ending! Oh Boy L.G. Campbell I'm going to need Book 3 like today? or tomorrow at the latest... hehehe...
After previously falling in love with the Satan's Outlaws I was really looking forward to this book and in particular Mammoths story. As much as Mammoth is a huge beast of a man he's actually a sweet loving and gentle giant deep down and he is willing to go the whole way for everyone who means something to him. Riley is fiesty sweet and at points naive but meeting Mammoth brings her into her own and also gives her a huge twist in her life leaving her to live a beautiful lie. Loved getting small snippets of the Rocke Sisters again!!! I'll be honest and say I personally struggled at points reading the story as there is quite a few character name from a different MC read I know of and my head kept flipping back to that story instead 🙈 Overall another good edition for these crazy MC guys and I so hope Khan gets his story one day to sort that brother out... would love to meet the lady that brings him to his knees lol.
I fell in love with Mammoth in Rise Above. He has always been my favourite and this story did not disappoint. We always see Mammoth as a Gentle Giant, the loveable laid back outlaw.
He is so much more!
He's a protector and if someone he loves gets hurt. WATCH OUT!!! This just made me love him all the more.
Beautiful Lie is a very dark, twisty story full of angst but at the same time there is lots of laughs, especially from characters old and new.
I just loved this book. So much so, I read it less than a day.
WOW!!! Mammoth and Riley story was explosive. L.G. has left me wanting and needing more of the Satan's Outlaw. I love hearing each of their stories.
The things that Riley had to go through was crazy, but she never gave up. She is a baddy in my book. And OMG Mammoth is such a protector. I loved how he wore his heart on his sleeves and he did not care if he was part of a MC club.
I read this book in one sitting. I could not put it down. I kept saying one more chapter until there were no more chapters to read. I need to learn how to slow down my reading. LOL
I can't wait to read more of the Satan's outlaw. This was a great read and you will not be disappointed in adding this to your TBR.
I forgot how much fun the Satan’s Outlaws are to hang out with. Whilst this book has a pretty serious story running through it the whole thing is nicely balanced with great MC brother humour and some fabulous heat!! I really enjoyed Mammoth showing all his personality... with his love for Red and Leyland and his need to protect those he loves at all costs. This is a great second book in this series... I still find the dialogue a bit tricky and formal but it’s obviously the authors style of writing and I managed to settle into it. I’m looking forward to the next brother getting his old lady!
Eekkk swoon 😍😍 Love Mammoth so much!! This book was heartwarming an heartbreaking all in one. Riley is such a inspiring person! 2 yrs after a one night stand shes a single mum who thinks shes doin the right thing to get over mammoth to be throwen into a lot of greif an heartbreak.. Mammoth of course swoons in to save the day an makes this book as amazing as it is!! Book 3 cannot come any sooner im addicted to the satans an their old ladys!!
Every. Single. Book. Every single book L G Campbell writes she absolutely smashes it out the park! I didn't think i could forgive her for the last book and I'm still salty AF but damn Mammoth is just.. i have no words! I loved him first Rise Above so I've been patiently waiting for his story and let me tell you HE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! And where we're heading next I'm practically bouncing with excitement! It amazes me that L G Campbell still flies under the radar!
IF YOU HAVEN'T READ L G CAMPBELL YET YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST!!
Noooooooo why Joey! Mammoth meets Riley they have one night then nothing for two years. Well things happened that Mammoth didn't get to find out about till now. Then tragedy strikes Riley and she has to fight for her life back. Mammoth makes it better. The End lmao. This story was good I can't tell you everything or you won't read it for yourself. Happy reading!🙋🏽♀️
Hot damn... and Lauren does it again with a steamy ride filled with twists and turns that had me sitting on the edge of my seat!! I am not going to give any spoilers away because you need to experience this book for yourself, but I will say that The Satan’s series is my FAVOURITE MC series EVER!! Go read it, STAT!!! Five stars!
Absolutely loved this book. I devoured it from start to finish. I don't know how you manage to get me from wanting to cry one minute completely heartbroken to laughing the next minute I'll never know but that's what I love about your books. I can't wait to see what the Satan's outlaws have got in-store for us next.
Mammoth and Riley ❤ where to begin! I read this book in one day, stayed up until 12.30am to finish it. I was hooked from the very beginning. This series just gets better and better! Riley and Mammoths relationship journey does take you on a ride that I must admit I was not expecting but is wrote well and with care. Of course you get the Rooke family back with all their craziness and brings some extra love to this series. Cannot wait for who's next!! Another great read from Lauren xxxxx
I loved this book from start to finish. Instantly hooked and couldn't put it down. You instantly fall into the world of the Satan's Outlaws. I will wait in anticipation for the next one.
Could Mammoth be anymore swoon worthy?? One night and he knew.....
I devoured this book - adored being back with the Satan’s. Mammoth and Riley ❤️ oh wow what chemistry they have.
Riley, you are so strong and an inspiration. My heart broke for her when she was abused (which was written with care). Watching her heal was heart warming.
I adore the connection with Mammoth and the lengths he goes to just pulled at my heart.
There were parts that had me in stitches (Joey and Nan you rule).
Oh how I was waiting for Mammoth! This gentle giant was worth the wait. Riley is a strong woman who spends one fateful night that changes her life. Two years later she is a single mom who thinks she has finally found someone to get her mind off the night 2 years before...however she was terribly wrong! One night almost destroys her until her beautiful lie catches up to her. Together they find the peace they both need. Such a great follow up to Hidden Truths!
Oh my....I didn’t think I could love anyone as much as I did Wes in the first book. Then Mammoth came along. What a freaking heartthrob. He is a complete swoon fest with his big burly bear stature. He’s protective, knows what he wants and is a man on a mission for love, retribution, lost time and so much more. ✨ This story was powerful. Trigger warning as there is an assault scene but is written in a masterful way that didn’t leave me feeling uncomfortable or feeling like it was a disrespectful storyline. ✨ This story was like watching a movie. What Riley goes through from the moment she meets Mammoth for the first time up until the very ending is seriously full of so much suspense, heartache, and want that.....I say it again, did I just watch a movie? I was able to vividly see every scene. I read this book in three hours straight this morning. I COULD NOT put it down. Completely worth waking up at 4 am for a little reading time in the quiet of the morning. ✨ I love a good MC story and I am completely in love with Satan’s Outlaws. Keep them coming because I can’t wait to learn about every member. I love their old ladies and the glimpse we get into each members personal life. I can’t wait for more.
I loved this book, after the rollercoaster of book 1 I needed this book to repair some of the damage. The MMC Mammoth is trying to make up for a mistake one random night 2 years ago. After meeting the FMC Riley and feeling and instant connection he is swayed into taking it as it was. One night only after she left suddenly. He’s waited and he knows what he wants, it’s her. But she has a secret of her she’s been hiding from him. While she’s trying to keep her life from spiralling, one night changes her life forever when she catches the eye of the wrong man. Trying to piece herself back together it’s the man she’s been running from that she needs to run to. I loved mammoth probably the most out of the Satan’s series. A big hunk of no nonsense man. Kind and caring but brutal when needed. This was a strong story with some major triggers so check before reading but definitely my favourite out of this series 4⭐️3🌶️
Mammoth captures you from the beginning when you first meet him in the Rocke series, he always seems the fun loving cuddly bear but at the same time tear you apart.
After the last book I have been in deep devastation. I still can’t get over what happened and why you picked him. This book was deep but you end up happy for Mammoth you can’t say too much as I don’t want to spoil anything. Just know that you get taken on emotional journeys that will make you want more.
If you haven’t read the Rocke series yet please do, this is where you first meet all the characters and follow all their journeys. Every journey Will make you shout, shock you, a lot of oh my god and no he didn’t. Then move onto the Satan Outlaw series where more emotions are explored and not just shock but make you cry.
One night with a mountain of a man they call Mammoth, a man that any normal person would be terrified of, but not me. I saw past that. He didn’t scare me; he drew me in and made me feel safe, loved even. Riley may have thought that one night was enough for Mammoth and that she was forgotten, but the truth is, one night was never going to be enough for him. But is he too late?
Oh my good I loved this book from the start to finish. Beautiful Lie what a absolutely beautifully put together and it definitely tugs at the heart strings in parts of the story line. Lg Campbell is amazing and this is another fantastic read by this author and i would highly recommend her books as you won't be disappointed
Having read Hidden Truths I instantly started looking forward to this second installment! I got back into this world quickly. I enjoyed this second book!
Mammoth and Riley's journey isn't an easy one. I loved the realness to this story and the way it had me feeling for these characters. I liked how i didn't want to turn away from their story until i reached the end.
With Beautiful Lie, Ms.Campbell has created another good read that'll pull you in!
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from the author*
I am loving this series and Mammoth and Riley story is no exception! Riley and Mammoth have an extremely rocky journey but I loved every minute of it. Riley is such a strong heroine and Mammoth well, he's 🔥🔥🔥. A brilliant book, another 5⭐ read for the series!
