On a cube planet embroiled in magic, monsters, adventure, and sticky buns, a sinister plot sets long time allies on a path of war that can only be stopped by two children who are not as they seem. When Mateo Luna is approached by the mysterious Father Jenkins to attend a school for youngsters with special abilities, he has no idea that life as he knows it will change forever. With his hometown reduced to naught but ashes, Meteo flees north into the Golden Forests of Rodain to attend Father Jenkins' School for the Wayward where he meets Ling, an Elf girl with a hidden agenda. Together, Mateo and Ling will have to master their mysterious powers to stop their kin from going to war with each other and bring peace to Rodain.
