Sometimes you have to lose love before you realize what it actually meant
LIEV is the fifth book in the Mountain Man Animal Rescue series and is a great second chance romance. The story is about Victoria, a twenty-eight year old nurse, and Liev, a thirty-three year old who is part of the animal rescue unit. When Victoria had graduated college she and Liev dated. She may have thought there was a future but after a couple of years Liev was still not making any moves towards a future together so a couple questions were asked. When he reacted more like a deer caught in headlights and not a man who wanted a future with a woman he loved Victoria decided to throw the man back in the water in no uncertain terms. A week or so later it became apparent to Liev that he had messed up by not saying what he really felt but during the three years since he has not made any approaches towards Victoria to make things right.
But that all changes when he discovers an abandoned baby at the center when he is on duty and Victoria finds a little kitten under her front porch. Instead of taking the baby to the hospital Liev drives to Victoria's and has her give the little girl a check over while he in turns checks over the kitten. When there are no foster care homes available right away Victoria decides to look after the baby for the weekend and Liev realizes he has an opportunity to explain what happened before and show Victoria just how much he has changed. So he suggests they pool their care-taking resources to look after the baby and now two kittens, as the little female kitten also has a brother. Victoria is not too happy about things but she goes along with the plan as it is only for one weekend, and maybe Liev can scratch that itch she has. Before the weekend is over Liev has scratched more than a little itch but that still does not mean that everything is going to work out. He will still have to prove just how much he has changed to Victoria to get his second chance with the woman he knows is meant to be his and he is meant to be hers.
This is a great addition to this series. The book is well written, has a story-line that kept me engaged and characters that I adored, and that includes the kittens. Overall this book is a very enjoyable read.

This series is comprised of over the top, short love stories. Although most of them are instant love, this one is a second chance love story. Victoria and Liev had broken up three years prior because of his inability to commit and neither of them was over the relationship. Liev has regretted losing her so when circumstances place them together again, he wants a second chance. This was a short quick read that I was able to consume over lunch. The characters are likable. Victoria tries to protect her heart and Liev is still not the greatest at communicating but after a bit of a stumble, they get things right. The epilogue gives you a view of their life seven years later which finishes the story off nicely. Since I read an advance copy, I won't deduct stars for the editing errors I found in the hopes they are corrected before the book goes live.

Victoria is off men, she had a relationship a few years ago and he didn't want to commit, he broke her heart. She arrives home to find a very small kitten under her porch, she's just trying to open her door when Liev arrives, she's very surprised as he's kept away from her after he wouldn't answer her questions about love and relationships. He's an animal rescuer but has been landed with a small baby, it's Friday and there's no-one to take care of her. Victoria is a nurse so he asks her to care for the baby and he'll care for the kitten, he decides that he'll stay with her to help, she's very unsure about this because even after three years she still has feelings for him.
A great short read from Kate.

The fifth title in Kate Tilney's wonderful Mountain Man Animal Rescue tells Liev's story. Three years ago, nurse Victoria dumped Liev when he was unable to commit and even show any signs of being interested in something long-term. Now in the present, Victoria finds an abandoned kitten under her front step - while an abandoned baby is left at the animal rescue during Liev's shift. The two events bring the former lovers together for a weekend when they decide to help one another out caring for their abandoned charges. A little older and wise, Liev quickly realizes how badly he screwed up letting Victoria go without a fight - and she cannot deny that her feelings are still lingering on. This is a really sweet and steamy short second chance romance - and there are babies and kittens!

Victoria is an ER nurse who works long days, the last things she expected when she arrived home what to find a kitten on her door stop and her ex driving up with a baby. Liev knew shortly after his break up with Victoria what a mistake he had made, but in the three years apart never had a chance to make it up to her, but he did have a chance to change.
This is a sweet second chance story that will have your heart melting with stray kitten and a cute baby. Liev and Victoria's connection has always been strong and intense, it was his feeling and love that was in question. While taken care of the babies, Victoria could not help her heart breaking over what could have been, but it was Liev to show her what it was.

Liev finds a newborn baby at the animal rescue and heads for the hospital, but stops when he sees Victoria just driving home from the hospital. She gets home and hears something strange... a newborn kitten comes out from under the step. She is about to have her friend call animal rescue when Liev shows up. They decide to pool their resources and watch one baby and two kittens over the weekend until foster care can be provided. This gives them their second chance at forever and they take it. The romance hits a few snags after last time, but they are both more grown up and stronger in their determination. Loved how Liev asks her questions at the end... perfect. The epilogue was very picturesque. What fun.

Three years ago Victoria ends her relationship with Liev because he can not commit to her and a future together. She still has strong feeling for him but doesn’t want her heart broken again. Liev still feels that pull to Victoria and knows he was a jerk towards her but how can he convince her he still cares. Maybe an abandoned baby and two kittens can help him show her he’s a changed man. An over the top quick read with an entertaining storyline. The main characters had a strong connection with a hero who needs to show his girl how much he’s changed and wants her back. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

All too common we lose out on true love because we worry about getting our heart broken again. It’s hard opening yourself up to someone the first time, and much more difficult the second time. It is almost too late for Liev and Victoria. That’s what you expect reading this book. Will he be able to finally explain how he feels? Will she be able to open herself up to get hurt again? Don’t forget the steamy part. Oh boy. Extra steam on that section.

This is the fifth book in the Mountain Man Animal Rescue and is a steamy, fast paced, second chance romance. It can be read as a standalone but you will come across characters from previous books in this series. Liev and Victoria use to date several years ago, when Liev refuses to commit or talk about their future Victoria broke it off. Liev has grown up and changed, can he convince Victoria he's changed and give him a chance?

Liev, book 5 in the Mountain Man Animal Rescue Book Series is a insta-love, mountain man/curvy girl love story with an OTT Alpha male protector. This short, sweet, and steamy story with amazing characters is likable and relatable. This is a well-written insta-everything book with Characters with depth that are well-constructed. I cannot wait for the next book by one of my favorite Authors. A must read book.

A Wonderful Weekend
Now this is how you spend a Saturday afternoon, curled up in your quiet place with a good book and a few good snack/drink.
Liev and Victoria makes second chances look hot, sexy and forgivable. Their chemistry from the very beginning draws you in and by the end of the book, you are in need of more.
I’m looking forward to seeing Sage’s story.

This is a great series and this book is about Liev and Victoria. This is another fast paced that keeps you entertained till the end. You have two people one has found a baby at the rescue center and since Victoria is a nurse her goes over to her house. Victoria has found a baby kitten and calls for someone to come get the kitten. These two might make a go of their relationship this time around. Will Victoria forgive Liev and is Liev ready for a relationship this time around? Find out in this story. I must say that wasn't my favorite story this far. Liev and Victoria dated 3 years prior but broke up because he wouldn't commit. Fast forward 3 years and a whole lot of dating on Lievs side and he finally sees what he missed with Victoria.... nope not my type of thing. She was too forgiving and he didn't grovel enough, but thats just my opinion😉 How can he say he loved her the last 3 years and dating other women....🙄🙄🙄 A nice read but not my type of thing. All in all a sweet story with a sweet HEA, but not really safe 🤷♀️

This is a sweet story. I loved the second chance that Liev and Victoria got. They dated in the past but he was scared to commit. Fast forward to a weekend when they take care of a baby and newborn kittens together. Victoria is trying to guard her heart from hurt again but she can’t deny the attraction she still has for Liev. Liev realized too late what he lost out on. Will this time be different for them?

This is a sweet, short, second chance at love story between two people who belong together. The story is well written and I loved the way the author brought Liev and Victoria together. I received this as an arc for my honest review
This was a cute second chance romance. I really enjoyed reading this story, I liked how Liev and Victoria were pushed together by very small circumstances. The scenes with them caring for the baby and the kittens were precious. A good way to spend a half hour.

I loved reading about Victoria and Liev! They were amazing characters and their story was just amazing. I am always so glad when I get to read another book by Kate Tilney, because she always makes character that makes me swoon and want them all for myself. Would love to read more about them and their future.

lovely short story, sometimes love needs a second chance .. and that is certainly the case here because the chemistry crackled off the pages .. mine 5 stars .. nice characters and just the right amount of content.

Great book
Victoria doesn't want to get hurt again by liev but he has grown up in the past three years he wants to prove himself to Victoria and when she asked him to leave again he was hurt and miserable but she was too. Liev went back and told her how he felt and they got their happy ever

These two characters are incredible! Kate TILNEY has spun a very creative and entertaining journey for them to navigate in tis short story which will keep you thoroughly entertained. On this journey the road to a well earned second chance will be paved with good intentions and a lovely happily ever after.

Liev and Victoria have a second chance at love when he finally realizes what he lost. I love that he owns up to his past mistakes and both have grown from they were first together. I loved them taking care of the babies, human and furry ones.

An enjoyable fast pace second chance book five in the Mountain Man Animal Rescue series! It is emotionally deep, well written, engaging, and relatable with steam, humour, likeable characters, and undeniable chemistry. Definitely recommended! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy.

Fantastic story! Characters that will steal your heart. A storyline that keeps you on the edge of your seat and glued to your kindle! For me it was a love- hate deal as the characters face their demons. You will feel their emotions and struggles. A definite must read.

Questions can get you in trouble. Hopefully Liev can get them right this time. Good reads involves baby, human and animals. No cliffhanger

Eh. Needs another pass by the proofreader. Tons of missing or incorrect words. I also don’t love the whole we broke up 3 years ago and have been sleeping with other people since then but now it’s gonna work. Too real life not enough fantasy.
