Sir Emerald

One year. Twelve strangers. An unbreakable contract.

They forced me to bow down before I knew their names. Exposed me to their hungry eyes.

12 different men, each more gorgeous and wicked than the last, and all of them getting one month with me.
And at the end... is the auction.

Sir Emerald. Cold, distant, and hard to read. But worst of all? He lives within arms reach of the man I've found myself aching for.
Can I control myself when I get a chance to feel his touch again?
It's against the rules... against the contract...
But only if we get caught.

Sir Emerald is the third man Marjorie is sent to spend the next 30 days with and compared to Jasper and Onyx not as much is known about the man and he is a bit of a mystery.
Marjorie and Emerald have a different relationship compared the previous men. They don’t really spend any time together. Marjorie is close to Jasper and decides having his maid, Nika, teach her how to cook is the best idea to pass the month.

There really isn’t any chemistry or sort of connection between Marjorie and Emerald since both their hearts already belong to someone else, but they do share something in common with the fact that neither of them can be with the ones they truly love. However, the chemistry between Marjorie and Jasper is still going strong and continued to grow throughout this story.

I am looking forward to Sir Sapphire, especially with the little bits of information dropped in the end of this story…I think Marjorie is in for a major challenge.

If you’re looking for an erotic, quick read this is one to check out, along with the two previous books in the series.

Marjorie's time with Sir Emerald was different then she thought but knowing she was next to Jasper both excited her and made her nervous. Looking forward to the next one

Marjorie has been here for two months. Two months since she turned eighteen. Two months since the death of her parents. Two months since her Uncle Haulden, a man she's only met several times in her life, brought her to the Sierra Nevadas under false pretenses.

Two months since she was told that according to a family contract she was being auctioned off to the highest bidder in ten months. She was to submit to twelve men for a month each and the highest bidder after that time would marry her, claim her virginity, but more importantly inherit the diamond mine left to her by her father.

Her father neglected to tell her a few things before both her parents died in a car accident. She grew up in privilege, but never actually knew what her dad did for a living and he sure didn't tell her about owning a diamond mine. A mine that as a female she can't inherit. That honor goes to her husband and according to a generation's old contract the mines are kept within the mining families and she is to be put up for auction to members of the other mines.

Her first month was spent with Sir Jasper who she came to love. She is now leaving Sir Onyx who finally let down his barriers and let her see the man behind all the anger. So here she stands with tears streaming down her face leaving another man she has become very fond of.

All she remembers from the night she was stripped naked before these twelve men was that Sir Emerald was the one least interested in her. He looked more interested in finding a loophole in the contract. What will her month with him hold?

She arrives at Sir Emerald's mansion and can't believe her eyes. He lives literally next door to Jasper. When she finds Sir Emerald writing a thank you note to Jasper for books he borrowed she about trips over herself offering to return them for him stating it would give her a chance to visit with Nika. When in reality she is dying inside hoping to see Jasper.

Marjorie finds out quickly that Sir Emerald's interests lie elsewhere which she is thankful for and she plans to take full advantage of the freedom she has been given.

This is book three in the A Year of Surrender series and they need to be read in order to fully understand the background of this story. It is very well written and you will truly fall in love with all of these characters. Well maybe except Uncle Haulden. They are full of depth and beyond gorgeous and sexy with each of these men having their own issues and kinks.

When Marjorie's attempt at cooking was inedible food she convinces Sir Emerald to allow her to take cooking lessons from Nika. It's the perfect plan to get to spend more time with Sir Jasper.

I love this series. This book is the sexiest yet. The storyline continues with the third of Marjorie's twelve months and she is not as interested in escaping anymore. But, she is determined more than ever to bypass the rules. I really liked Sir Emerald. He has no interest in Marjorie and is only playing along because of the Gemstone Brotherhood.

We get a deeper understanding that the men aren't participating in this tradition willingly which makes you wonder why it continues. Don't know where her obnoxious uncle has disappeared to, but hopefully, we'll find out how he benefited in getting Marjorie there for the auction along with her parents' history with the Gemstone Brotherhood.

She isn't looking forward to spending the following month with Sir Sapphire especially after the grim comment from Sir Emerald when he wished her luck in spending her next month with Sir Sapphire!

I know this is a continuing series about Marjorie and these twelve men, but man is it so worth it. Sir Sapphire is book four and I can't wait to see what other surprises are awaiting Marjorie and if she is getting any closer to the answers she is looking for and what Sir Jasper is holding back from her.

Sir Emerald continues where we left off with the previous book. Marjorie is to spend the next month with Sir Emerald and like every single month, she’s unsure what to expect. Sir Emerald is mysterious and not much is known about him. The previous two books in this series have been focused on Marjorie’s emotional, physical, and possibly romantic relationship between Marjorie and the bachelor’s Sir Jasper and Sir Onyx. This book is quite different from the previous ones. That doesn’t mean there is any less steam in this book.

Sir Emerald and Marjorie have no chemistry, no connection, and no possibility for romance. Both want nothing to do with the other as they are in love with someone else, but they cannot be with them due to the restrictions of this strange contract.

Marjorie must find some way to spend her 30 days with Emerald and she convinces him to allow her to learn to cook with Nika as Jasper is his neighbor. This is an excuse for her to spend time with Jasper even though it’s against the rules. The chemistry and romance between Marjorie and Jasper develop further and they express their love for each other, which is a profound development and sets the tone for her time with the other bachelors.

I have loved seeing the character development in Marjorie. She went from someone I thought was annoying and a pushover to a young woman who is growing from her spoiled past and becoming a stronger character demanding things and taking control of her life instead of allowing things to happen to her quietly. Things are revealed and I’m curious to see how that plays into the long term for Marjorie. I’m very excited to continue reading this series. I’m hooked!

A Month with Sir Emerald is Unique

Book three in the “Year of Surrender” series finds Marjorie spending a month with Sir Emerald, and it is almost the complete opposite of her time spent with Sir Jasper and Sir Onyx. Emerald is more focused on bettering Marjorie to be the perfect housewife to one of the Bloodline Brothers, so she begins cooking lessons with Nika at Jasper’s house which is conveniently next door.

While Marjorie is learning to cook and bake, she discovers some interesting information and uses it to her advantage to sneak opportunities to spend time with Jasper. She proves to be adept at finding opportunities and seizing the moment.

I loved the way Marjorie pays Nika back for giving her cooking lessons! Lots of little twists in the book leaves you wondering how the next nine months will play out and definitely keeps you on your toes.

I liked this 3rd instalment more than book 2 again which showed in me reading this book in only one sitting. The last time I did this has been a while, but also let’s not forget that #SirEmerald was only 72 pages.😂

There weren’t as many explizit scenes as in the other two which I actually enjoyed. It focused more on feelings and not only those feelings concerning the main character Marjorie. I really liked seeing that other person get what she deserves and was really rooting for her.

Also book 3 did surprise me as well! After book 2 I was a little worried that the story might be getting repetitive and that it would be the same storyline in every single book, but not at all! The turn the story took in this instalment was really nice and I enjoyed it.

I am also curious about the next book. For a moment I thought the next one might be Opal, but instead… and we know nothing about him yet, so I guess I’ll just let myself be surprised for the next round.🥰

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

I fell in love with series during book one so by now I am fully invested in seeing how it all plays out at the end of her year. We pick back up at the start of month three where Marjorie must go stay with Sir Emerald. This comes with a twist though as his property is directly next door to Sir Jasper who she has been pining for since she had to leave him as the end of the first month. This leads to some interesting dynamics as the month progresses. Full of surprises and ends ready for month four. This really is a must read series for anyone that finds the blurb even remotely interesting. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

Marjorie is being sent to her 3rd home for the month at Sir Emeralds, she feels torn with the connection she made with Sir Onyx but does Sir Jasper still hold her heart? Her stay at Sir Emeralds is nothing like she expects. Has she discovered a friend within this twisted auction game?  This is book 3 in the series and the plot thickens with secrets and desires. The story holds your attention from book 1 and keeps you hanging off every word to not miss any clues. Well written with great characters and storyline development.

EXCITED for MORE!👍👍👍👍👍
So not what I expected. I was smiling and giddy throughout this read but at the same time I was scratching my head. This story has an amazing twist that had me happy and excited to read it at a fierce pace all while waiting for a fierce storm to take my happiness away. it's intense, steamy and twisted. This series has me excited and all twisted up because there is no way to predict what way the story is headed. One heck of a gripping twisted story that just keeps me wanting more.

Sir Emerald was so good. Marjorie is onto the next Sir's house, Sir Emerald. After arriving at the cold and aloof Sir's house, she is waiting for the other shoe to drop. She is still longing for Sir Jasper and being next door is torture. Once she realizes something, she makes her plan. Marjorie was a little selfish and greedy this time around. I do love her bond with Nika. I liked all the surprises that popped up. There were a few more bread crumbs dropped. Entertaining and interesting storyline with intriguing characters. Looking forward to book four, Sir Sapphire.

Sir Emerald is the third book in A Year of Surrender Series which places Marjorie in the residence of Sir Emerald for the next four weeks. Tray Whithal/Sir Emerald resides next to the home of Jasper. The close location gives Marjorie the opportunity to see Jasper from time to time even though it is forbidden as well as visiting her friend Nika. The book has unexpected surprises and plot twists. The next book in the series is Sir Sapphire.

Sir Emerald is the 3rd book in A Year of Surrender Series by Emily Aster. This begins Marjorie's stay in the residence of Sir Emerald for the next 4 weeks. Sir Emerald is next door to Sir Jasper, whom she's still craving like mad. There's twists in the story that had me going hmmmm. I don't want to give anything away so I will just say that Sir Emerald is an intriguing character. This was a wickedly intense and darkly entertaining romance read. I look forward to Sir Sapphire!

Sir Emerald by Emily Aster is the 3rd book in the A Year of Surrender Series. It was absolutely nothing like I expected. Book 1 and 2 were completely opposite of 3. But it was still a really good read. Short, sweet and to the point. No non sense kind of story. I enjoyed finding out there is a little secret that will no doubt be revealed soon as well. Sir Emerald is a wonderful man and an even better friend. Now we are on to Sir Sapphire…who’s still with me for the ride? Anyone? Well if you’re not…you’re missing out. I received a free advanced copy to read and review.

And, the plot thickens. Sir Emerald is the 3rd Book in The Year of Surrender Novella Series. Marjorie is thrilled to learn that Sir Emerald lives next door to Sir Jasper. And, that Sir Emerald has no expectations of her, he has his eye on someone else. However, the rules still apply so Marjorie and Jasper need to hold their attraction and feelings in check. But, rules were made to be broken, right?

A slight truth bomb is dropped about Marjorie’s parents, raising questions and interest. This series is heating up.

Great book... Great series.

I totally loved all the ways Marjorie manages to see Jasper despite living with Sir Emerald for her third month. And his creepy butler is so offputting. Emerald is also different to both Jasper and Onyx as he only seems to care about her being 'suitable' as his wife. Marjorie needing cooking lessons def has an up side as it allows her plenty of time to reaquaint herself Sir Jasper, who is conveniently living next door.
I realky look forward to meeting Sir Saphire next :)

Marjorie is up to her third month in her ‘Year of Surrender’, this month is Sir Emerald’s time. You need to read these books in order, each follows immediately on from the one before it.

This book has a different feel to the first two. Marjorie doesn’t connect with Emerald like she did Jasper or Onyx. She doesn’t seem to give him a chance, secretly running into the arms of Jasper. Not even realising that Emerald could never be hers.

Sapphire is next, what will be his fate. Will she give him a chance.

Marjorie gets an unexpected surprise upon her arrival at Sir Emerald’s house when she sees he lives right next to Sir Jasper. Getting the opportunity to see her friend Nika again along with Sir Jasper brings with mixed emotions and when she finds out one of the secrets Sir Emerald has been keeping, she uses it to her advantage as she gets to spend some time with the man who still has her heart in his hands.

Okay, now I am eager to finish off this series. it was indicated in the beginning that there was more to it and in this book, it is confirmed.
I don't know why but my guess is Marjorie won't end up with Jasper, if she does then it would all be too easy

Well, this one has different vibes than the previous two books.. things are different because nothing much goes on in Sir Emerald's house..so Marjorie can take advantage of other options.
This series is def keeping me on my toes..and I can't wait to find out more..especially about the next Sir.

This third book was not what I was expecting after reading the first two in the series. Marjorie goes to Sir Emerald who is different from Sir Jasper and Onyx, and Marjorie yearns to see Jasper since he is so close. This novella was steamy and angst-filled.

I received a free advanced review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my fair and honest opinion.
