I thought getting a mate would solve my problems. I thought The Oracle would answer my questions.
As it turns out, I was wrong on both counts.
Because I have not one, but five mates. They’ve all claimed a piece of me, but instead of making me whole, they’ve torn me apart.
The Oracle didn’t answer any questions at all. Instead, she sent me on an even longer quest, with more mysteries than when I began.
Now it’s time for me to take charge of my own destiny. If I have to accept these mates in order to save my people from blood-sucking monsters, it’ll happen on my terms. And if I have to travel the continent to fulfill my role as the Alpha Queen, I’ll do it my way.
To hell with the clan and their rules. This queen is making her own rules.
Queen Crowned is the third book in The Alpha Queen Legacy, featuring a badass heroine, a dark fantasy world, and loads of sexy wolf shifters. Be warned: This is a slow burn, reverse harem romance. Once you pick this story up, you won’t be able to stop devouring it until the very last page.
Hi! I'm Laurel, I love all things fantasy, magic, and sci-fi, so you may find that my books have surprising twists that you didn't see coming.
I'm an avid traveller and adventurer, and I find my travels inspire stories I want to write! I have an amazing daughter and we currently live in the shadows of the Smoky Mountains. I love a good craft cocktail, sunny beaches and snowy slopes, and a cozy chair with a nearby fireplace for the perfect read.
Kali is such a hypocritical asshole in this book. She spends the majority of the time pissed at her mates and torturing them physically and emotionally for believing the Oracle and following through on her explicit instructions. Does Kali merely blame the Oracle? Nope. Majority of the blame is put squarely on the guys for being duped by an elder of their species who dangles the fate of the world and the woman they want more than anything in front of them. Her wolf was even happy about the mating for christsake!
No matter how awful she treats the four alphas, she treats Emory even worse. He is submissive and treated like a second class citizen. Of course Emory is going to struggle going against the direct orders of alphas and elders of their race. He tried warning her about the individual mate challenges and she completely dismissed him. He lied about having a mate because he was worried about her emotional well being, because having no mate equaled banishment, and banishment equaled death in most cases.
Let's just take a moment and think about this for a second, Emory would rather die than mate another woman. While Kali is a fickle Bitch who plays with all four alpha's emotions and still can't choose. Emory sacrificed himself emotionally for her and watched as the woman he loved lusted after four other men. Kali and Emory were practically playing house together in book one and then she treats him like he never even meant anything to her!
Kali's wolf is a fickle Bitch too. Right after the group mating, her stupid wolf is all happy but then when
Kali spends the entire series beating the shit out of other males but the one fight she loses, she fucking loses her shit and acts like a petulant child instead of a hardened warrior. My god, for the first two books all she wanted was to find an alpha strong enough to lose to and bemoans her mateless fate, then when she get 5 Oracle sanctioned mates including her first love Emory, she complains about having too many! Despite not being able to choose between them and hurting their feelings repeatedly. Bitch can't commit!
I am going to hate read the last book just to get closure for the series. Maybe I'll be surprised and Kali will redeem herself. I am not holding my breath.

I’m conflicted. I absolutely loved the first book but as we’ve continued on in the series I’ve ended up disliking Kaliya. She’s been pretty rude to the guys the past two books. And poor Emory.
I feel like the characters lack any type of connection. I know they just met in a way but it feels awkward. Kaliya also seems to have no personality. I love the guys though.
This whole book seemed to focus on the creation of wolfs and wraiths and the whole prophecy. Nothing really happened until the very end.
For any who have been following this epic story, you know that some things went down towards the end of book two that placed the harem (and the team) dynamics on the edge of a knife. The Heroes made a rash decision in book two, succumbing to their own fear and some poor advice from someone they were raised to trust.
Book three therefore was always going to be a critical and tense stage in this series. For those of us that were worried about how the guys could redeem themselves (I'm definitely one of those people), I'm relieved to tell you that my fears were completely assuaged by the end of this book.
This is definitely a book of redemption, but rather than it being forced on us, it happened so organically and it was paced so well. It never felt rushed. It never felt convenient. It felt very human with a "two steps forward, one step back" feel to it that happens in real life with real relationships.
There is substantial character growth in this third book with Rowan being the biggest revelation for me. I had previously been on the fence about him but he really makes purposeful strides in this book, putting himself out there and being vulnerable with Kali. I'm crushing on him pretty hard right now.
Kali remains one of my favorite fmc's I've read in a long time. Yes, she is a badass warrior, but she is also flawed, and what I love most about her is she recognizes her flaws. She wants to be a leader, but she willingly seeks guidance from others. At no point does she act like she has all the answers. She has her own insecurities, born from decades of failing to fit in or find acceptance. Trying to find the right balance between being true to the unique person she is but avoiding making excess waves in her community where they don't value her differences. I love that while she deals with drama, she doesn't create drama. She's a fantastic example of what any leader should be, and a portrayal of a woman to admire. I have a "girl crush" apparently. 😄
We definitely get further into the mystery of the Wraith's and the Alpha Queen, and by the end you will likely be questioning what you thought was going to happen versus the sharp detour we take at the end.
We also get some sweet and steamy moments in this book, and while I normally gravitate towards books with even more heat, this story has such phenomenal characters and world building, and the plot is so gripping, with the growing sweet tension between the fmc and her guys you won't feel like anything is missing. This is a story you're going to want to read for the characters and the story, the blooming romance is very organic and a side bonus to a spectacular story.
To say I'm eager for the final book would be a massive understatement. In the meantime I'll just keep rereading the first three books, looking for more clues and feeding my obsession.
Ratings (out of possible 5)
Character building: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ World building: 🌎🌎🌎🌎🌎 Romance: 💓 💓 💓 1/2 (this is not a bad rating, as I mentioned above, there is a redemption happening and the author is allowing it to have an organic pacing, which we want!) Heat/steam: 🔥 🔥 🔥 Drama: 👀 👀 👀 👀 👀 Action: 🍿 🍿 🍿 Suspense: 💣 💣 💣 Dark: 💀 (this book doesn't feel dark so much as emotionally charged - loads of feels in this book) Triggers: (Some mentions of child abuse that happened in the past, and a scene of spouse abuse - not of the fmc - that results in swift justice) Ending: Cliffhanger - we're left in a state of suspense, but also with hope. Recommend: 200% 👍 👍
Wow oh wow every installment of this series gets better and better! *I may push the boundaries of spoilers in this, so be warned!*
Okay so this book seriously got me right in the feels. Kali struggles to pull herself back together after the forced mating challenge, and also try to figure out how to let her men back in. While I feel alot happened it didn't feel rushed like other series I've read. There was a realistic two steps forward one step back. All of Kali's men use their different cennections to her to show her that they not only regret the decisions they've made but that they truly appreciate her in their lives and are willing to earn every scrap of love and forgiveness back.
Rowan makes a huge forward step in this book, showing vulnerability, humor, and a protective core the size of a continent. Tai and Mateo also make forward strides showing her not just physical connection but emotional growth. Stig shows her what love could truly be like continuing to woo her in the traditions of the northern pack. And poor (infuriating) Emory started to wiggle right back into my heart as he continued to despair in his past decisions and struggling to earn his spot in Kalis life back.
As a whole Kalis emotional growth is staggering in this book. Letting herself recognize her own flaws and actually move forward and start to piece herself back together. She also gets a whole new perspective on the stark cultural differences among the packs vs her own. All the while struggling to come to terms with the escalating Wraith attacks and her own destiny.... as well as overt manipulations from the Ancients and their very elders.
Strap in because it's a truly bumpy ride!!!

Book 3 was frustrating! Like sure I could understand why the heroine felt betrayed but at the same time I'm here like "STOP PUNISHING MY SWEET EMORY!!" He was against cornering Kali for the mating challenge and yet, his involvement is the "biggest hurt" for her! Like girl what?! And she easily forgave (after a painful challenge) and mated with the Easterner, the same guy who had the genius plan to corner Kali in the first place!
The riddles from the elders were frustrating and now with the final leg of their journey, I wonder how things will end up..
Laurel has continued to amaze me with the series! The world building is impeccable and keeps getting more in depth as we follow along with the characters. The best thing about this is that I never felt lost with all of the information we learn throughout this book. It never felt overwhelming, only captivating, and made me want to find out the real story behind the Alpha Queen and the current wraith problem.
The guys really stepped up for me in this book after their actions in the previous book. Unlike other books where the characters are easily forgiven, I feel like Kali is justified in her feelings and is making the guys think about their decisions. I love the fact that they can feel her emptiness as a result of how they accomplished their mating challenge and made her submit to them. It seriously serves them right. The efforts that they are giving in this book seem more genuine and open now as well. Real feelings are starting to come into play and the guys are opening up much more, revealing things about themselves and their past. They are trying and it's becoming obvious to everyone that communication is what should have happened all along and is what needs to continue to happen if they want to be a solid front both emotionally and physically.
Whereas the guys had won me over with their actions, I've gotta say that the long-awaited meetings with the Elders were disappointing and beyond frustrating in this book. I could already tell in the previous book that they weren't going to be as helpful as their packs assumed they would be. It just seems like they are playing God with their people, placing pawns where they want them to be, and hoping that everything works out to their advantage. And honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they were the ones that caused the wraiths to start popping up in the first place and now they are trying to cover their tracks by claiming this huge prophecy is finally occurring. They are all older than any of the other wolves in the packs and they have a scientist in their midst. What do the packs really know about these Elders?! It's just me speculating, but I think it's totally possible that they could have started this whole mess by dabbling where they probably shouldn't have. I could be, and probably am, wrong, but I'm having a lot of fun coming up with ideas about their history. I'm eager to see how everything plays out In the next book!
What a spectacular book Laurel has created to add to her already amazing series.
I have been eagerly waiting for the third instalment of the Alpha Queen series, to see how Kali will handle her new mate bonds and whether or not the mates in question could be redeemed after they forced that bond. I can tell you now, I was blown away with Queen Crowned! It was so much more then I was expecting and I loved every second of it. My family was told to fend for themselves as I could not put this baby down.
I am not disappointed in how Laurel slowly but surely brings Kali’s mates to redemption. Through words and actions Taika, Rowan, Stig and Mateo work hard to fix the imbalance they caused. There are some truly sweet vulnerable moments which Kali recognised and appreciated. I was hoping for Emory to gain a backbone and try and talk with Kali about his involvement and his true feelings towards her, but alas it didn’t happen. Instead he did something much more courageous which left me with my heart in my throat.
Heading to each of the Pack lands on their quest to visit the Elders, Kali experiences the vast diversity between each clan and realises what a sorry existence her Pack has been living in. It’s heartbreaking to see just how cold and empty not just her life but also the lives of her Pack members have been living. When they stop for the night at her home it shocks the other alphas just how clinical the Central Pack is. This insight, I think helps the men to understand Kali a little bit better.
Kali as with the last 2 books is still a badass warrior even if she has moments of doubt. I love that she has flaws and looks to her mates for guidance when she isn’t sure about the correct way to proceed. The character growth not just individually but together is heart-warming to witness.
I am full of suspense for what the Wraiths are going to do next and how Kali and her Mates are going to overcome their challenges. The next instalment in the Alpha Queen series looks promising and I am super excited and waiting in anticipation for it!
You know how in some series there is that one book that is kind of slow and not much happens...well I have yet to read that book in this series! Laurel manages the pace beautifully in this book so that there is enough action to keep the plot moving as well as a ton of character growth which was much needed after some characters' behavior in the last book. In this one, we learn more about the wraiths origin as well as more about each of the characters. I love getting the men's point of views as we went through this book!
Laurel brought the steam and heat this round and did it beautifully! She manages to balance excellent story-building, developing characters, deepening relationships, and adding another layer to plot without having any of it feel fake or rushed!
This series is soooo gooood!!! It is one of those books that you look down and suddenly realize that you are over half-way done with it but feels like no time has gone by because you were that enthralled with the story!
This book is the 3rd in the series and is a complete rollercoaster of emotions and full of adventure. This book leads into more about the Alpha Queen Legacy and we learn more about the wraiths and Kali's mate bonds with the guys. We see in book 2 how the mate challenge went down, and see in book 3 how Kali and the guys deal with the consequences of the events that went down and how this affects them all. In this book, the travel to the 3 other packs, Southern, Eastern, and Northern, and we meet a ton of new people along the way. You begin to see more of the different cultures and safe haven's and safety measures set up in place by the different packs. I was so upset when this book ended because now I want MORE! And am super impatient and can't wait for the new one to be released! You will not regret reading this book, but if you like lots and lots of smut, this book may not be for you. It is a slow burn, and has some smut, but not a lot (at this point anyways) and is more focused on story line and character building.
Loved this entry in the Alpha Queen Legacy series!! Kaliya is still heartbroken over the way here mates handled the mate challenge and is having a really tough time forgiving them. The crew is slowly learning what is really going on in their world while on the quest given to them by the Oracle, and those dang elders have been playing puppet masters for way longer than anyone realized. Her mates are doing everything they can to earn her forgiveness but it's not going great. My poor Emory is a mess and the end of this book isn't helping matters. The wraiths are getting smarter and The Scientist has given them their final destination, that will hopefully lead to saving the world!! Can't wait for the finale!! Also as the famous Dave Chapelle said...Kaliya got some booty! Kaliya got some booty! Well maybe not those exact words but close!! 5 Stars!!
This book is phenomenal, I can see a movie or tv show in my head about this series!!! 😍❤️ Is so well written; the character development, amazing; the interaction between Kali and the guys, so unique, so fitting for the special relationship with each one of them #allthefeelings 😭🥰 And then we have the damn wraiths and all the Elder's BS 🤬... Girl, this is deep s**t we are talking about, wow, mind-blowing 🤯 And what about that f'ing cliffhanger, Emory!!! 💔😭... I know you will fix it, right?... Right??? 👀... Need the next book stat!!! 😩 This series is a MUST READ if you like an original, dark and twisted plot; an amazing strong FMC, who is not invincible but in the acknowledgment of her flaws gets even stronger and wiser... and of course the "eye candy" is also worth the read 😁🤤😍🔥 #hotalphamales #Rowanismine #lovegrumpyguys #startheseriesnow
This is my favorite of the series to date. The world continues to expand, we keep learning new things along with Kali crew. The men open up to Kali a lot and there are some really great conversations. Rowan became a lot more 3 dimensional, interesting, relatable and he’s now running for favorite to me. He really made opportunities to connect with Kali in his own way. Really big cliff hanger at the end so be prepared to be worried, slightly destroyed and anxiously awaiting the conclusion to their fight and hoping for a HEA(I think it’s still planned to end with 4)
Wow! We pick right back up from book 2. Kaliya is reeling from the Alpha challenge from all her mates and she is left so confused and hurt from it. How do continue a journey with mates that betrayed your trust? Kaliya must come to terms with her conflicting emotions for her mates because she will do anything to protect her people from the wraiths. Speaking of them, WTF. We keep getting closer to the answers of the Alpha Queen with five Mates and how to stop the Wraiths. I love that we get to see the different regions and way of life each pack has as well as traditions. I'm excited to see what Laurel has in store for us in Book 4!
Emotionally estranged from her mates, devastated by their betrayal, Kaliya finds herself mired in the quicksand of the Ancients' deceit and hubris. Destined or manipulated, they were bound to the prophecy and this journey, gods help them all. In the end, can an unexpected act of love and sacrifice save them?
I hate it when you're reading along, thoroughly engrossed in the store and the end of the book just smacks you in the face!! After waiting nearly FOREVER for Queen Crowned, now I've devoured it in less than 3 hours and the long wait begins again for Legacy Fulfilled. Well played, Laurel Night... well played!
First let me just say how wonderful this series is. After everything that happened in the second book I was glad that Kaliya made her men WORK for her forgiven and affection. I also really liked how much thought and effort her men put into how they should apologize and ensure they never make the same mistake again. I enjoyed how much Kaliya and her men questioned everything the elders told them and stopped accepting it outright at the truth or the way they should move forward. There were some intimate scenes in this book. I thought they complimented the story well and I'm excited to see what the next book has in store.
The quest that all five of the wolf queens mates, and her, have set off on, will bring answers that no one is prepared for. You will see Kali grow, as well as all 5 men, and sacrifice for all of the wolves in the clans. They've all grown into themselves, and are becoming a single unit to function together. The visiting of each of the 5 clans territories, is a master stroke so the we can see the customs of each clan, and and the background they've come from. I can't wait for the next book, I'm already missing my wolf queen fix!
This book was a wonderful continuation to this series. The last book left our heroine in a really bad state of mind, where her mates were concerned , and this story is more about dealing with those issues while at the same time continuing their trials. I really look forward to the next adventure, especially with that cliffhanger! I think this amazing author enjoys kicking our butts with her cliffhangers😮😄
There was a whole heck of a lot of driving. Did it go anywhere? Yes! It was a simple story, a lot seemed to happen between drives. The burn is slow, but I like it! Looking forward to the last book which will hopefully be released soon!
Queen Crowned was absolutely amazing! Kaliya and her mates set out on a quest that will help the Alpha Queen defeat the wraiths for all time. (Or so they hope). After feeling betrayed by her mates in the previous book, Kaliya is now struggling with her emotions. She is angry and doesn’t know how to cope with what the guys did, but with Emory she is angry and betrayed because he lied to her. There were some revelations concerning the prophecy and of course with that ending you will be left screaming for the next book. If you like sexy, wolf shifters, a bada$$ heroine and a ancient prophecy that will save the shifters, then this series is for you.

Book three continue to follow Kailyah and the guys as they figure out how Kaliyah becomes the Alpha Queen and defeats all the wraiths. The guys are all suffering for what they have put Kaliyah through. They are trying hard to earn back her trust. After seeing the Historian, the group discovers they have been manipulated and will not stand for it anymore. Things go from bad to worse when the wraiths attack again smarter and more calculated than ever. This ends in a huge cliffhanger and I am so excited for the next one!
I’m loving where this story is going. So much happening. After the last book, I was pretty sceptical that they were going to come back from everything. But I went through a full range of emotions, including getting super annoyed at a certain character and wanting to throw something. Possibly the book. With Kali and the guys getting on with saving the world, uncovering answers, and more questions, I can’t wait to see how they work things out in the next book.
I'm throughly enjoying this series so much! I can easily fall into their world and minds, and I love that it's more than one POV. The ending has me craving book 4 like I crave coffee every morning, I need it in order to go on with normal life!
Man did I feel all the emotions with this book! Laurel did not disappoint with book 3! Character development was on point! Sexy time was FINALLY here 👏! And we of course end on another cliffhanger! Can’t wait for the next book!!
I am thoroughly enjoying this series. Seeing the bonds building between the characters. Feeling the heat. That ending was evil as the quest continues. What oh what will happen next. Will they be in time? Eagerly waiting for the next book
Omg this book was amazing and gave me all the feels. Third book in the series and it just keeps getting better with each book. The way Kali and her mates grow and work together made this one my favorite out of the series. Can’t wait to read the next book.
Oh how I loved this continuation of Kali’s story. I feel I got to know and understand the guys more as well. My new crush is Stig....and Rowan. Absolutely love this series and cannot wait to read what happens next.
I can not say enough about this story! The world she had created is amazing, the way you get so much detail without it being overbearing is very refreshing! I love all of the characters... some more than others and I am eagerly awaiting the last book!!
