A Cage Called Hope

Rate this book
Shelley asks the reader. Are you living your life believing relationships, beliefs about yourself and your life in general is a result of your conscious choices?

Are you convinced the reason that you are not getting to where you want to be in your relationships, careers and personal goals is because you need to try harder?

Are you waking each day with a heart full of hope and each night putting your head on the pillow desperate to know why nothing has changed?

Are you ready to identify and shed those self limiting core beliefs so you can become the person you want to be; not the person you were programmed to be?

The information in this book changed my life.

It worked for me and it can work for you.

Within is the key to release you from A Cage Called Hope.

Shelley is an excellent author; she talks to the us, the readers, rather than telling us. She explains with a seamless integration of anecdote and shows us how to find meaning in the thoughtless actions we all are guilty of, whilst coincidentally reassuring us that we are not to blame. This book made me aware of things I never was aware of, and it allowed me to stop blaming myself for the trajectory of behaviour that follows events out of our control, however, I also learned how to take control of the present, ceasing my desire to fix or gain control of the past.

I highly recommend this book for anyone that wants to learn about themselves. Shelley, thank you for facing the inherent vulnerability of sharing your stories with the world in the pursuit of helping others learn about themselves.

This book came along at the right time, as all great ones do. A superb read and I read it twice within the space of a couple of month, because I knew I needed to digest it even more after the first venture.

I'd been living with my various versions of 'hope' since I was a teenager, and yet too often none of them were backed with action. I know the difference now, between blind hope and the work that needs to be done to bring things to fruition. I will cherish my copy of this forever and I know I will return to it regularly. NOW...to put things into practice.

Shelly takes the reader on a self discovery tour , it is not just a book about a therapist telling you what she has learnt through her clients. Shelly writes with Heart filled Wisdom that she has learnt through her own life experiences as well as her time as a therapist. If you are ready to open your eyes and show up for yourself then this book is for You !!
I give it 5 out of 5.🙂

A really important and worthwhile read. This book holds a lot of thoughtful, eye opening and relatable content that is a crucial step into understanding our own strengths and weaknesses. It was really easy to read, great recommendation for someone who doesn’t read very often or anyone who is looking to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and others.

A great book and easy-read. Shelley presents a lot of truths in a very relatable way. Many of the example situations ring true for a range of relationships in life. Great perspective and very motivational!

Shelley's book felt more like an honest conversation between her and myself. It was insightful and pointed me to where I should look when I need to see my bad behaviour came from. I thoroughly recommend this book for anyone wanting to explore their own thoughts, experiences and emotions.
