Hundreds of years in the future, a war ravaged the planet. It left behind as many scars on people’s minds as it did on their bodies. Despite opposition, Alex Revels is on the team creating a memory drug to help ease the pain of the past. A last-minute patient, Laura, throws things into chaos. They spent their whole childhood together, so why doesn’t she recognize Alex?
Clark Falay has lost everyone important to her except for her elderly father and her best friend, Alex. As one of the leading scientists, she is responsible to get the memory drug all the way to human trials. A saboteur and increased attacks make Clark question who she can really trust. Clark wants to protect the project, but people close to her are at risk.
Alex wants the memory drug to be a success. If Alex can’t overcome his past, his actions could destroy the entire project and cost him someone he cares about. With the world depending on him, he needs to make hard choices he might not be able to come back from.
This book can be read as a standalone story but does have some elements that are resolved in the second book.

This story combines suspense, romance, and mystery with a great deal of action surrounding it. Sixteen-year-old Alex had a best friend, Laura, who got him through tough times, such as the loss of his father. He never got to tell her how he felt about her because suddenly she moved away without a trace. Alex never stopped searching for Laura during the past ten years of his life.
Now Alex is a psychologist and scientist, working with the tech company Kyrosuto, as they develop a drug to erase painful memories. He is shocked when Laura is one of his patients! Clark, a fellow scientist, sees him start to fall apart over Laura. She wants to help him, but an opposing tech company is working with someone inside their company and they will stop at nothing to prevent the drug from being released. Can they find the mole in time? Are the patients in danger? Will Alex confront Laura and finally let her know he loves her?
I bought the book from Amazon and I really enjoyed the story. Both Alex and Clark love each other but don't seem to realize it until the end. And Laura nearly tears Alex's heart in half when she shows up after disappearing for 10 years. In the mix, there is a mysterious mole inside the company they work for which adds tension to the whole story. The story brought me to tears and made me smile several times. The end of the story begs for a part two which I will be waiting for to hear what happens to the two competing companies. Great story! It was clean and captivating all the way.
The book I remember you by Loretta Anderson is an amazing read, it has a great mix of action, Mystery and romance. I loved it so much that I could barley put it down and i would definintelty recommend to anyone looking for a truly exciting read! Christina M
