Never Enough

It’s a simple enough transaction.
Marisol needs the money, and I need a nice girl to parade in front of the cameras.
No feelings. No strings. No falling for anyone.

I’ve been clean for months, but my record company’s not satisfied. Apparently it isn’t enough to only kick a heroin addiction - they’re insisting that I find a girlfriend as well.

If I don’t, they pull Dirtshine’s massive record deal.

It’s supposed to show that I’ve changed my ways, that I’ve turned over a new leaf, all that rubbish. But I’ve had it with suit-wearing wankers telling me what I’m to do, so I’m on the verge of telling them to go f*ck themselves.

And then she shows up.

Marisol locks me out of my own concert by accident. She’s wearing a suit at a rock show, searching for her lost law school textbook, has no idea who I am…

...and for the first time in years, I’m hooked.

She’s smart, driven, and utterly gorgeous. The sort of girl who earnestly believes in following the rules and hates when others don’t.

I’m a huge rock star, recovering addict, and general f*ckup.

Our relationship is for show, and that’s all. But with every smile, every laugh, and every breathtaking glance at her curves, I want her more.

Two months is all we agreed to. But it’s never going to be enough.

Always You

A kiss could ruin everything.

I was born broken, with a past full of ugly secrets and a brother doing life in prison.

Not that you’d know it if you read the tabloids. According to them I’m the rock-solid guitarist for the biggest band in the world. I’m the dependable one. The steady one. The anchor.

They don’t know the truth. No one knows who I am underneath, once the music is over and the lights are off.

No one but Darcy.

She’s my best friend. She’s my savior, my light in the dark, beautiful and talented and every bit as broken as me.

And I yearn for her. I have for years. I see the way she looks at me, what’s behind her eyes.

I know what she thinks about alone, in the dark, because how could I not know.

It’s getting worse. Every second, every heartbeat, every moment we spend together and every secret we share makes me want her more. Even though I know that one kiss could ruin everything we have, I need her.

But to get her? I’ll risk everything I’ve got.

Ever After

Once upon a time, a girl saved my life.

I was p*ss-drunk, high as a kite, and about to jump from a bridge.

She stopped me. I told her to f*ck off.

Exactly how all great love stories start.

A year later, I met her again. Sober this time, after yet another stint in rehab.

She’s still pretty, still a spitfire, still lights up a room when she walks in.

And she doesn’t realize I’m the guy from the bridge.

Frankie doesn’t know anything about me or my past. She doesn’t know I’m a former rock star or an ex-junkie.

She doesn’t know that two years ago, someone died and it was my fault.

She doesn’t need to know. She’s got problems of her own, and they’re what keep her coming back to see me time and again, even when we both know she shouldn’t.

I should be staying far, far away from this girl, but it’s like telling water to flow uphill. Can’t be done.

Frankie and I may be going down in flames, but we’ll be going down together.

All three of the Dirtshine books in one easy to read book; Never Enough, Always You and Ever After.
Book one, Never Enough follows, rockstar Gavin Lockwood, a recovering drug addict who needs to clean up his image before his recording label pulls the plug on his band Dirtshine. Enter the quiet girl-next-door Marisol Gomez, working on her law degree, she gets invited to a party by her best friend and accidently runs into Gavin. When his publicist says he needs a fake girlfriend to help clean up his image, Gavin can’t help but think that it is fate that he met the fiery latina. Contracts are drawn, and they agree to play the part for two months.. but as they spend more time together, Gavin begins to realize that he wants more than just a pretend girlfriend from Marisol. Will two months be enough time for Gavin to get her to fall in love with him? As Marisol begins to feel things for Gavin, will she be able to just leave him when the two months are up? Or will the pair be pushed apart from outside forces before they can realize that they both want more?
Book two, Never enough follows Darcy Greene and Trent Ryder. Darcy and Trent have both had rough childhood’s, and hard times as adults as well, but they always had one thing, each other. Trent has always wanted Darcy, though what he doesn’t know is that she feels the same about him. He didn’t want things between them to change, since she is his best friend, so he keeps his feelings to himself until a tragedy strikes and he can’t hold it in anymore. Will Darcy and Trent be able to cross the invisible line they’ve placed between them? Or will one kiss send them into a tailspin they can’t recover from?
Book three, Ever After, follows the ex-junkie and ex-drummer of Dirtshine, Liam Fenwick as he meets Frankie Strauss during a drunken night when she saves him from jumping in front from a bridge. It’s been a year, and Liam has gone through rehab once more, and moved to the middle of nowhere where there are no temptations and hopes to stay clean. He can’t help it that he has thought of the American girl daily, so he is shocked when she enters the whole-in-the-wall pub he currently works at. Francoise, aka Frankie, on the other hand, is struggling to fit in to the titled English family she is about to marry into, where it seems that every move she makes isn’t good enough. After one particularly nasty evening, she borrows one of the staff member’s cars and finds herself at the pub Liam works at. Their connection is almost instant, her dry humor and quick and witty comments making Liam feel more drawn to her, but he stops himself when he notices her engagement ring. When Frankie finally has enough of her fiancé Alistair Winstead’s behavior, she calls off the engagement, and spends two days of bliss with Liam. But when reality comes crashing back, will she be able to move on with him? Or will the pull between the pair be enough to give them a chance to be together?

You will never get enough from this awesome series!

NEVER ENOUGH

This is one of the best and most intense books I ever read.

It made me laugh and cry, sometimes it felt like someone wanted to tear my heart out of my chest.
The characters are so very authentic and believable, so loveable and caring, you can’t put this book down. You just have to read on and on until you are finished.

And then you wished you could unread this book to just start anew...

This book is so, so fantastic and an absolute awesome read.

I wish I could award 10 stars to this amazing book.

ALWAYS YOU

Darcy's and Trent's story literally starts with a bang, and you get hooked up to this book immediately!
They are bandmates and both struggle against their mutual attraction and deny their feelings for each other because of their horrible past and the thereof resulting psychic problems and also because they are afraid to lose their awesome friendship.

Once you start reading this book it is almost impossible to put it down. It is a page turner, and you have to read on and on to just find out what will happen next. WOW!

EVER AFTER

This book starts out in quite a hopeless mood.
Both protagonists, Liam, the former star drummer from Dirtshine and ex- junkie, and Frankie, the fiancée of a British viscount, have self-doubts about the situations they are in, about the life choices they made, about their feelings…
The mood is spiralling down when they lose contact to each other after a short fling…
Both are forced to come clean to themselves about their expectations to the future and about their feelings…
They meet again by chance and their mutual attraction sparks again immediately…

This book is even better than the previous ones in this series. The protagonists are created very well and profound. The plot is awesome and the delicate topic is handled very sensitive. The author did an amazing job with this book.
I could hardly put it out of my hands. It is so suspenseful that I had to read on and on just to satisfy my curiosity!

This series was really enjoyable. I could not get into Liam‘s book, ever after. After two chapters I went ahead to almost perfect. It was very enjoyable combination of these characters. I love the little insight to there later lives. Liam was just not a character that I wanted to know more about or could connect with.
