Amy: Every night is a new version of torture for me. I feel him watching me. There's a stalker out there and he's come close to me multiple times until I'm holding my breath every time I'm alone. I've even gone to the Police for help but they say they need him to do something before they can help me. That's not the kind of help I'm looking for. What I don't know is there is another man out there who's doing his best to keep me safe. He's my knight in shining armor even though I've never met him and when we do meet, sparks fly. Is he the man of my dreams and if he is...can he keep me safe long enough to find out where this love goes? Tripp: She's the curvy beauty who's held my attention and haunted my dreams since I saw her in the station. I took time off to keep close to her. To watch her and keep her safe whenever she's alone. The more I see of her, the more I know she's the woman for me. But the man who's stalking her is determined to get her and that's the one thing that I'm determined to stop right now. He's close so I decide I need to be closer. And that makes my desire for her build into a love that I know is my once chance. Because if anything happens to her...there won't be anything left for me. She's my woman and I intend to make sure she and the stalker keeping us apart know it.
Plot: Tripp has been watching Amy from afar (well, not that far) ever since he saw her in the police station. He's not the only one watching her though. Someone is stalking her and is determined to get to her no matter what. One night, when Amy is out with friends, Tripp has had enough and he grabs her and takes her home - to keep her safe, of course. But is she really safe? It will take more than one night at his house to convince her.
Commentary: Tripp and Amy are just as brash as each other - we don't get that as much from Amy here, but you can really see it when you read the other books in the series. But seriously, I can't even get one stalker, and this chick has two! I was a little worried, what with all the sniping they did at each other, but in the end it turns out Tripp was the best stalker of the two - he was a police office after all, and really knew what he was doing.
“What kind of cop goes around kidnapping innocent women?” she shouts. “I asked for help, not a kidnapping attempt!”
It is under odd circumstances, that Trip and Amy, meet. It's a stalker being obnoxious, by entering Amy’s home turning on lights then leaving. Letting her know he can break in any time he wants. But, when figures out she’s alone in this, her friends want to help. She can’t. She won’t chance putting them in harms way.
So, when they invite her to a girl’s night out she is not feeling it. Yet, does it anyway. When a guy crowds her on the dance floor, things are kicked up a whole notch. Before you know it she is being whisked away to a far-off land. You know kidnapped. But, by the good guy. A really sexy good guy that saved her from a brut o the dance floor.
But, this spunky pint-size, curvy as all get out, the librarian is not going willingly. After weeks of being stalked, she is overly tired, and fighting is mad. Yet, deep down, she doesn’t seem to fear, this sexy giant. So, game on.
This is a very intriguing book. Although it is an unusual strategy of, delivering security, for fearful women, who have stalkers. This is an easy job for Tripp, for someone, you find yourself having an immense attraction to. As he does for, Amy. However, you know, you will do, whatever it takes, to protect her, no matter what. You know she is the one, and it is love, at first sight.
Tripp is a slightly unhinged man with good intentions and a heart that knows what it wants. Amy has a stalker that’s terrorized her but without more evidence the police cannot do anything to help her. Tripp is determined to keep her safe. When he and Amy connect it’s unorthodox and super hot. I love a morally grey hero and Tripp delivers!! Their HEA is perfect and sweet
If you love an OTT J/P hero with some instalove and some suspense thrown in then Tripp is definitely for you. It's captivating from beginning to end and even in a short format, gives you a complete story. I looooooved the epilogue, such a sweet bow on top of an already satisfying (and hot) story.
I know this was a short read but a little info was left out. If Tripp was a police officer how the heck was he always off watching her and second he kind of became a stalker and third he actually kidnapped her. I would be freaked out if I got gagged, and had my hands zipped tied and put in the back of a car. But any way this was an okay read/good read.
Amy has a stalker but we don’t know why. Tripp is there in the shadows keeping an eye on her to make sure she’s safe. One night he doesn’t lol what he sees so he takes her to a secluded place and explains the situation. There’s some sexy energy between them and they both claim to have feelings for each other.
These two had me going from word one. Loved the book was a pretty good read. First time ready anything from this author and I was quite impressed. Would continue to look out for more books from Tamrin Banks in the future.
Nothing earth shattering, a bit dull. I get the instalove and tropey-ness but at least add something fresh to the story. It wasn’t terrible just a forgettable story with boring leads
Although I enjoyed the story there are a few questions that should have been dealt with. Who was her stalker? Was he the guy from the bar? Why was he stalking her? I kept waiting for answers but got zip. That’s why 3 stars.
A wonderful ending to this short story full of drama and love. Tripp is secretly following Amy to protect her, who is being stalked. He fell for her the moment he saw her giving a report at the station. I enjoyed the chemistry and the hot scenes, and glad Amy got her story and HEA.
I really enjoyed this. Story. It threw me a little at how Help abducted Amy. I'm not so sure I could have made the switch from fear to lover as Amy did. A little more conversation and maybe not a zip tie. I did like the suspense!
