Shen Si was an ordinary person, living an ordinary life, until one day, the unlimited flow world collapses and all the Survivors returned to reality, setting off a ripple.
His gentle neighbor, Bai JunYi, was the God of Light in the other world, with the strength of faith that could shake the world’s rules.
His childhood friend, Jian Nian, was the God of Killing that even ghosts and gods fear, and the rumors are more frightening than each other.
His distant cousin, Xi Luo, whom he has never met, was the unlimited flow world dark boss, leading countless ghosts and monsters.
Ordinary person Shen Si: ????
Onlooker crowd: So many big brothers have relations with him, he must be the hidden most powerful person!
The first half of the book was fine, if not pretty bland. The second half of the book is where things get interesting. Shen Si (MC) was different from most other protagonists because he was very indifferent, he had no strong feelings and dreams of his own and he seemed to always be going with the flow, taking things one at a time and solving problems whenever they cropped up. All he wanted was to live a mundane and ordinary life as an ordinary person. This seemed like a breath of fresh air compared to other protagonists that were just itching to get in on the action, but I found it boring real quick because SS just didn't have much of an opinion about anything so it wasn't as engaging as the story progressed.
Even with relationships, SS was a loner and even though it looked like the author introduced a few MLs, there was only one true ML which was Jian Nian. JN seemed like the typical possessive ML at first but he was slowly revealed to have different sides to him and soon became a more interesting character than SS until the 2nd half of the novel where SS had a stronger presence. This was because SS went through some subtle changes and we got to understand why SS was so indifferent all this while.
As for the romance in this novel, sorry to break it to you but there really wasn't any romance at all. Like not even hints of it until the very end. It fit the story though and if the author forced SS and JN's relationship to develop pre-maturely then it would've ruined the whole thing. Although there was a lack of romance, I did appreciate how the author developed SS and JN's relationship as they both had a complicated relationship that couldn't be easily untangled.
The side characters were pretty one-dimensional as well and I feel like the author didn't fully utilise them to their full potential. For example, there's a character Bai Junyi and I thought he would be set up as a strong side character but sadly, that wasn't the case. It was only in the extras that we got to see more depth to his character.
Overall, this book was an okay read for me mostly because I just couldn't immerse myself in the story. Maybe it was because of the author's writing style or the way the characters weren't fully fleshed out, probably both.

Whether you like this book or not us probably mostly going to come down to whether or not you like the protagonist and tbh, he's not very likeable. He's not really unlikable either. He's just... there. A mostly blank character who's got a few rigid rules that he follows while the plot happens to him until the very end. The other characters in the novel also mostly exist around him and also don't have much in the way of personality. The few I did like, I also thought this would've been a much better book if it followed them. Overall, it wasn't the worst infinite flow novel I've ever read and there were some interesting things happening in the background but it was wasted on the fact that it was all happening in the background and the main character didn't care about it so it wasn't really part of the book.
“When we're done looking at the stars, we agreed to be together forever.” “Never again to be apart.”
If you're looking for sweet and fluffy romance, romance in general, or even, just very good tactic understanding, then your going to be very disappointed, because this novel, has close to zero romance elements.
This is not really your typical unlimited/infinite flow novel, because, instead of the MC going to the unlimited/infinite flow world, the unlimited/infinite flow world came to him. It's kind of like TEIO?
I swear, the 3s rank survivors(including the ML) didn't even have as much screentime as the Special Force Officers(?) lol
The characters HAD potential, but, I guess it is inevitable that they ended up being one-dimensional.
