About the author

I'm a middle-aged woman who works in insurance, doesn't have children or pets, can't drive, has lived in Christchurch my entire life, and currently reside a two-minute walk from where I was born.

For some reason, I've developed a rich fantasy life.



I like to write mysteries, some set in my hometown of Christchurch, others ninety minutes up the road in the beautiful township of Hanmer Springs, or in the quasi-fictional town of Pinetar. These mysteries range from hard-hitting psychological thrillers, through to police procedurals, or the lighter adventure of a cozy mystery.

Waste of time

Every character in the book
was so shallow and silly, I almost quit half way through. Kind of wish I had.

I usually don't write reviews but when I do they are usually very positive. But in this case I just had to write this one. I like cozy mysteries. They're fun to read when I need something quick to read. I wanted to like this series (yes, I read both of them. I wanted to see if they got better-they didn't). I really did because it contains 3 of my favorite things; knitting, cats and New Zealand. But not even they could save this for me. The main character is very unlikeable. Her best friend is a borderline alcoholic. Tash (the main character) is always accusing the wrong people of the crime. She's not a very good sleuth. She always just seems to stumble onto the answer of who dun it. The only thing I liked about them was the fact that I couldn't figure out who the murderer was like I normally can in cozy mysteries. That's the reason for the extra star. I won't be reading any more of this series.

A Good Mystery

This is a good Cozy mystery. It is hard to imagine who and how killed the victim. I borrowed this book from Kindle Unlimited. This in no way affects my opinion of this book.

Not worth reading

I did not care for this book. Perhaps when I was in fifth grade I may have liked it but even then I'm not too sure I would have found it engaging. Not really any substance to it and it seemed to me to lack continuity. I certainly can't sat I cared for the characters.

Great book to read.

These two books are the best cozy mysteries ever. Tash and her friends solve another murder. The man who died had a sinning lottery ticket. Part of the story runs through that plot. At the end of the book the ticket was more imo than they all thought.

Good read

Tangle is precious, Tash needs to be retrained in manners but on the whole it's a good story. Will read more of her books.

Easy read.

Another fun mystery. This one with its dips and dives keeps you hanging until the bitter end. Fast, easy enjoyable read. Look forward to more of this series.
